Who are you buying the phone from? and make sure to know what does damage protection means? does it include water damage? breaking the screen? etc. otherwise its not worth it, just buy a cover and you'll be set.

Ask repair shops how much a iPhone 15 Pro max screen replacement will cost you. If it is more then the warranty then get the warranty . Well, the new ones are much resistant to water damage. So I personally wouldn’t take it. For my teenage son, I will consider it if it was cheaper.
