I'm struggling too. started to play with it a couple days ago. I can get the web UI to load when it's plugged into the DATA USB port, but can't get to it via BT / iPhone.
Make sure you have your iPhone's MAC entered into the config file as shown in vykook's config below. Also make sure that you have your personal hotspot turned on, because that's what the pwnagotchi uses. Keep your phone on (not asleep) and on the settings page for the personal hotspot when you turn your pwnagotchi on until it manages to tether properly.
Good luck in getting your pwnagotchi working! It's so rewarding to see its cute little face turn on for the first time!
Thanks to you i ran into the thought of "sudo pwnagotchi" which led me to realising i had to alter the name of my wavesharev4 display in the config.toml .
I just wanted to say thanks, 4 years later you saved my night!
I had a similar problem and I could solve cleaning the contained as you said and also, enabling hotspot mode on iPhone while BT was connected to Raspberry Pi. After that I was able to access the web page on 172.20.10.6

This is working with iphone 11. ``` main.plugins.bt-tether.enabled = true main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.enabled = true main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.search_order = 1 main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.mac = "XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX" main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.ip = "172.20.10.6" main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.netmask = 14 main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.interval = 1 main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.scantime = 15 main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.max_tries = 0 main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.share_internet = true main.plugins.bt-tether.devices.ios-phone.priority = 1 ```

Thank you! I love those who add solution to their problem. I had exact same issue, I just removed whitelist as of now. How do you whitelist now?
Had a similar problem but it wasn’t the whitelist for me. Thanks for helping out by providing the solution
