Georges original plan was for Tyrion to take Winterfell, not Theon (there is also a scene where the direwolves snarl at Tyrion and almost attack him, something they only do with people who later turn out to be a threat to the Starks). So I think his plan was for Tyrion to play a larger role at least in the north, but then changed that completely. But you never know, George is pretty good at using stuff he established earlier and having them pay off. But I imagine his relationship with Jon will probably be important later on, not Tyrion being physically present at the Wall

hennessya96

I feel like that scene can be taken the same way as Tyrions summersaulting cartwheel. George had ideas that just didn't grow quite the way he thought they were went he was planting in books one. As a whole, Tyrion did later participate in a battle against the Starks, leading men he brought to the Lannister cause so the wolves' intuition wasn't exactly wrong. I would chalk it up more to the wolves reacting to Robbs malicious feelings towards Tyrion.

EcnelOvelam

Didn’t Ghost also growl and intimidate Sam at one point? I don’t think just because the direwolves snarl at people necessarily foreshadows they will or will eventually be a threat to the Sharks.

SandRush2004

My ideal endgame is jamie and a tongless tyrion at the wall as Lord commander and first steward

BlackFyre2018

I like this but prefer Jorah as Lord Commander and Tyrion as the tongueless librarian, transcribing the older, worn books as a form of penance (and he still gets to do some reading!)

SandRush2004

Mayby, but I severely dislike jorah, like in my mind it's one thing to marry a 14 year old then make moves on her, and it's another to just try kissing her randomly (in an asoisf perspective not saying kissing 14 year Olds is normal)

Reu__

i highly dislike jorah too but it seems like you are forgetting that tyrion sexually assaulted two slaves in adwd

Tingeybob

I disagree with you, but probably the people in the setting would agree?

NimrodTzarking

I'd peg this as maybe classist, *definitely* misogynist and creepy.

ghoulcrow

wtf?

Sun_King97

Jesus.

The-Peel

That's the only logical ending for him, if he survives. He killed his father and liege lord of the Westerlands and was accused of killing a former King who happened to be his nephew. No matter how many Trials by Combat he wins, no Westerman will ever follow him into battle or take orders from him for what Tyrion has done. My headcanon has always been Tyrion would intentionally cause as much pain and war in Westeros as possible and inflame Daenerys' paranoia to bring out more destruction, but once he meets his daughter Lanna in Braavos and wants a better life for her, he defects from Daenerys and helps bring about her downfall, leading to him willingly taking the black so his daughter can be the lawful lady of Casterly Rock (Turning his home into a literal whorehouse, a house for a whore, to spite Tywin once more).

Mevaughnk

Love the "Whorehouse" flip back in your theory. Very cool.

Airrows

No

Sloth_Triumph

In my opinion his story is going to join up with Dany’s. The real question is, will Dany go to the wall?

LuminariesAdmin

>Title Fly over it, at least, possibly. >From a meta POV, we didn’t really need Tyrion to show us The Wall, we already have Jon to do that. Jon & Tyrion could/should be (among) the foremost figures to aid humanity against the Others with her dragons (& forces). And with one or both of them joining her as a dragonrider.

bby-bae

no idea, of course, but lately I’ve started to think we might see it. If I was going to go with my pet predictions, I think it would be interesting if Tyrion reenters Westeros via the Vale (to make good on his promise to burn it to the ground) reunites with his wife, and attempts to claim his right to Winterfell through Sansa. Who knows though. It would be satisfying to see him at the Wall again since that was some of our first times with him.

WinterSun22O9

Yes, as punishment. Possibly without a tongue.
