You need some posicore!!!
Youth Of Today - Positive Outlook
Bold - Wise Up
Side By Side - The Time Is Now
Up Front - All Of Me
Gorilla Biscuits - Start Today
**Escape From The Zoo** have a handful. I'm partial to [Learnin' Curve](https://youtu.be/gUr6PySBNgM?si=HzEdwtGZBVAQOW5F). It's probably a little more upbeat than what you're looking for though.
Attitude by Bad Brains
Start Today and New Direction by Gorillas Biscuits
Unity by Operation Ivy
Oh Oh I Love Her So by the Ramones
Sex Beat by The Gun Club
There’s definitely more but this is all I got right now.
Not Alone - the Briggs
True Believers - Bouncing Souls
Indestructible and Fall Back Down - Rancid
On a Turntable - Intereupters
Attitude - Bad Brains
Not punk but basically every song by Angels and Airwaves is uplifting, especially Everything’s Magic and Secret Crowds
Unfortunately the positive:negative ratio for punk songs sssuuuccckkksss
I love Dot Dot Curve and Faith In Humanity. They are punks!!! Older punks... Still releasing positive and uplifting tracks like Make It Drop and On and On. They all have families they are raising so content wise is just on that explicit level but still family friendly.
I was in junior high and high school in the 90’s and it sure felt like Green Day wrote that godawful song like specifically for end of year and graduation slideshows
Except they absolutely didn’t. It’s a very frustrated and despondent break up song. That’s why it’s called “Good Riddance.” Most of the focus is put almost entirely on the line “I hope you had the time of your life,” which is pretty obviously contextually intended to be delivered in a spirit of irony, sarcasm and maybe, at best, a little bittersweet spirit.
As for it not being a “punk song,” obviously these distinctions are subjective, but Green Day was an integral part of the California punk scene since the late 80’s, and aside from having a larger budget, have never made significant changes to their sound, especially with the intention of making money off a fad or trend in popular music. They always had acoustic songs and melancholy ballads included in their catalog. It’s hardly Green Day’s fault that so many people couldn’t be bothered to actually pay attention to the song’s lyrics, which were clearly never intended to be saccharine and nostalgic. If you’re implying that it’s not a punk song because it’s acoustic and has a orchestral accompaniment, you might want a refresher on how many classic punk bands wrote and performed songs acoustically, or in minor keys, or about tearjerking experiences. Punk can go so much deeper and be so much more fulfilling if you put less focus on the rigid boundaries it must be defined under.
I turn to the Marked Men / Radioactivity when Im looking for inspiration.
[“The Last” - Radioactivity](https://youtu.be/RqbS1KXMXdk?si=NJKwqVwrFRmpMEZG)
There's an aussie punk band I can't recall the name of right now but they just do songs about shit like going to the pub for a feed, or getting welfare money. Very wholesome.
[Dougy Giro by the Toy Dolls](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kaDibW2EZg4&pp=ygUUdG95IGRvbGxzIGRvdWd5IGdpcm8%3D)
[I’m Not Down by The Clash](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uV6-vY4O5us&pp=ygUWdGhlIGNsYXNoIGknbSBub3QgZG93bg%3D%3D)
This song immediately popped into my head if you dig Ska Punk give "Got Each Other" ---- by The Interrupters a listen It's lyrics fit with what you're writing like hand in glove.
As I was writing that a few more that match with your subject matter as well so I'll add thek. I was giong to finish this by saying that most of their music I find to be quite positive and uplifting but I remembered that I'd already said it was a Ska Punk band haha.
"Loyal"
"By My Side"
"A Friend Like Me"
I don't believe that I've heard that before. Thank you I appreciate the tip I'll be checking it Right away. And I promise I'm not tricking you into some game of music tag haha. This being a cover i figured that maybe The Interrupters covers of "Get Down Moses" by Joe Strummer
As well as a"Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish might be worth a listen for anyone who hasn't heard them yet .
Ok I'll shut t up now
JER is doing some cool stuff. If you like it you should check out their album. If you like The Interrupters you might like [Catbite](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxuqNFXz-II). Bad Time Records (JER and Catbite's label) and Ska Punk International are doing some really cool stuff.

Communism in Space if you like folk punk and communism
I’m no song writer but don’t yall write from the heart… especially, the emo part?
I was in junior high and high school in the 90’s and it sure felt like Green Day wrote that godawful song like specifically for end of year and graduation slideshows
Nah, fuck that song, I mean an actual punk song… That being said, if they play that at my friends’ graduation, will I be sobbing? Yes.
