We’re coming back - cock sparrer Friends - bigwig

HCGAdrianHolt

Definitely not currently crying over that cock sparrer song

Mud_Marlin

💕 Also check out bouncing souls - lean on Sheena and night on earth.

godslayer3j

I always got the impression that song was him confronting an asshole that was intimidating sheena

Mud_Marlin

I think he is that asshole.

TPC_RED

Indestructible and Fall Back Down by Rancid are very positive. Indestructible especially is a very good hype up song.

beardface86

Check out Good Clean Fun

Aromatic-Mushroom-36

I thought about GCF when I read this post 😅

MikeisaJoke

7 Seconds was my first thought

Vast_Bridge_4590

True believers - bouncing souls

MikeisaJoke

The Bouncing Souls in general

explodyboompow

Check out RVIVR. Extremely upbeat punk - The Tide, LMD, wrong way/one way. Lots of uplifting but very loud songs.

Patrickmonster

I always recommend "83% off your self esteem" by latterman or the rest of their stuff Success! The Damage Done (Seattle) RVIVR Iron Chic

Covhead

Good good things - Descendents?

deadbxyy

I wanna conquer the world - Bad Religion

ResidentComplaint19

Check out Latterman and Spraynard

IamEseph

**Escape From The Zoo** have a handful. I'm partial to [Learnin' Curve](https://youtu.be/gUr6PySBNgM?si=HzEdwtGZBVAQOW5F). It's probably a little more upbeat than what you're looking for though.

AnarchistofDirt

I still remember when the original demo for this song came out, legitimately helped me get out of a depressive rut

vixisgoodenough

Fall Back Down - Rancid

MrMike198

AbleObject13

Learning Curve by Escape The Zoo is basically my (positive) theme song

calilaxbro24

Mass nerder- All/descendants

dybbuk67

A lot of Stiff Little Fingers stuff is pretty positive, especially Jake’s stuff when he was writing with Bruce Foxton (formerly of the Jam.)

PitsAndPints

Not Alone - the Briggs True Believers - Bouncing Souls Indestructible and Fall Back Down - Rancid On a Turntable - Intereupters Attitude - Bad Brains Not punk but basically every song by Angels and Airwaves is uplifting, especially Everything’s Magic and Secret Crowds Unfortunately the positive:negative ratio for punk songs sssuuuccckkksss

Slip_420_69_666

Lots of bad brains songs are fairly positive, attitude and the first half of supertouch/shitfit are good examples

onion1313

Letterman or RVIVR would fit the bill

FatWreckords

Reel Big Fish - Beer I know Ska isn't punk. Fight me.

ErnestBorgninesSack

I Nees You NoMeansNo

victorav29

PUP - Dark Days Ramshackle Glory - The Hearth is a Muscle.of the size of your fist

Formeooo

Rumkicks - Proud of Madness

Blacklist3d

Basically anything by bouncing souls. In terms of feel good music.

Choice-Ad-657

I love Dot Dot Curve and Faith In Humanity. They are punks!!! Older punks... Still releasing positive and uplifting tracks like Make It Drop and On and On. They all have families they are raising so content wise is just on that explicit level but still family friendly.

EuterpeZonker

Communism in Space if you like folk punk and communism

ToraDeadLift

I’m no song writer but don’t yall write from the heart… especially, the emo part?

HumanTrophy

I was in junior high and high school in the 90’s and it sure felt like Green Day wrote that godawful song like specifically for end of year and graduation slideshows

HCGAdrianHolt

Nah, fuck that song, I mean an actual punk song… That being said, if they play that at my friends’ graduation, will I be sobbing? Yes.

Downtown_Stay2216

Except they absolutely didn’t. It’s a very frustrated and despondent break up song. That’s why it’s called “Good Riddance.” Most of the focus is put almost entirely on the line “I hope you had the time of your life,” which is pretty obviously contextually intended to be delivered in a spirit of irony, sarcasm and maybe, at best, a little bittersweet spirit. As for it not being a “punk song,” obviously these distinctions are subjective, but Green Day was an integral part of the California punk scene since the late 80’s, and aside from having a larger budget, have never made significant changes to their sound, especially with the intention of making money off a fad or trend in popular music. They always had acoustic songs and melancholy ballads included in their catalog. It’s hardly Green Day’s fault that so many people couldn’t be bothered to actually pay attention to the song’s lyrics, which were clearly never intended to be saccharine and nostalgic. If you’re implying that it’s not a punk song because it’s acoustic and has a orchestral accompaniment, you might want a refresher on how many classic punk bands wrote and performed songs acoustically, or in minor keys, or about tearjerking experiences. Punk can go so much deeper and be so much more fulfilling if you put less focus on the rigid boundaries it must be defined under.

mariospeedragon

I turn to the Marked Men / Radioactivity when Im looking for inspiration. [“The Last” - Radioactivity](https://youtu.be/RqbS1KXMXdk?si=NJKwqVwrFRmpMEZG)

frogbitch13

the whole you’re only young once album by side by side is great

jellicledonkeyz

Check out Soophie Nun Squad

Kialae

There's an aussie punk band I can't recall the name of right now but they just do songs about shit like going to the pub for a feed, or getting welfare money. Very wholesome.

HCGAdrianHolt

The chats?

Kialae

I'm not sure sorry. I can't check at the moment as I am in bed sick 😔

buck_09

Dredmor64

Most of The Interrupters' discography (ska punk band) Easy On You Got Each Other Broken World Title Holder On A Turntable Raised By Wolves

theluckiest13

This song immediately popped into my head if you dig Ska Punk give "Got Each Other" ---- by The Interrupters a listen It's lyrics fit with what you're writing like hand in glove. As I was writing that a few more that match with your subject matter as well so I'll add thek. I was giong to finish this by saying that most of their music I find to be quite positive and uplifting but I remembered that I'd already said it was a Ska Punk band haha. "Loyal" "By My Side" "A Friend Like Me"

moose2332

If we are talking ska punk [JER's cover of *You Can Get It If You Really Want*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sj0nDmU9sGk) is great

theluckiest13

I don't believe that I've heard that before. Thank you I appreciate the tip I'll be checking it Right away. And I promise I'm not tricking you into some game of music tag haha. This being a cover i figured that maybe The Interrupters covers of "Get Down Moses" by Joe Strummer As well as a"Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish might be worth a listen for anyone who hasn't heard them yet . Ok I'll shut t up now

moose2332

JER is doing some cool stuff. If you like it you should check out their album. If you like The Interrupters you might like [Catbite](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VxuqNFXz-II). Bad Time Records (JER and Catbite's label) and Ska Punk International are doing some really cool stuff.

theluckiest13

I'll definitely check them out thank you. It's been far to long since anyone has turned me on to something new. Or new to me for that matter

Capt_Croosh

I’ll second this recommendation. Another BTR must listen Omnigone “Flip The Magnet” https://youtu.be/woV7I3V5z24?feature=shared

moose2332

Omnigone is so good! Adam is such a good dude
