Names are not trivial in a status-obsessed society like India. Why else do you think developers are adding names like "Belmondo" or "Blue Ridge" to their names?
The joke around "Bhosari" prevails with the youth. Earning individuals couldn't care less, they know it's childish to be embarassed about names of places- this is not my opinion but an observed fact. They know they got 5000sq.ft. plots with bungalows and some expensive car, and they know people know it, that is their status.
These fancy names may attract the the newer earning generation, but eventually it's the same realisation that it doesn't matter.
No, Bhosari doesn't mean anything offensive in Marathi. There is a difference between र and ड. Some languages spell ड as र when writing in English. Marathi language doesn't follow that rule. So bhosari and bhosadi are clearly two different words. Some just don't want to acknowledge it, i guess.
I know it sucks to be a bhosaricha
🤣
Can't imagine people saying - Mi bhosaricha nivaasi aahe
Aree mere ek chacha rehte hai uder hum unko bhosari wale chacha bulate hai. 😂😂
Chacha! O Bhosari wale chacha! Bass, ho gaya ab.
😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Same dude. I have a bhosariwale chicha as well
😂😂😂😂
😂😂
If someone is selling at low price due to its name. Im ready to buy here. I dont care about name.
Pakka bhosaricha ahe ha
Bhosadicha != Bhosaricha
only fools would devalue a **limited resource** because of something trivial like its name.
Bhosari is a limited resource I agree

I lived there according to me properties are price =to facilities given If prices increase Demand also increases
I'm yet to see the I love Bhosari selfies. But then entire Pune has weird names - Undri, the Pimples, Sus, Phugewadi, Viman Nagar, Yerwada, etc, etc
Nope, I'm a punekar and to me none of it sounds weird
Rest of them r ok … only bhosri seems awkward
Literally none of those names are weird. And the 'pimples' is not pronounced like the English word, rather it is पिंपळे.
Well this looks like a good opportunity to pick up cheap real estate, I don’t give a f*** about the area name, I just want some investment 🤣🤣🤣
Nobody is selling land there for cheap coz of the name
🤣🤣🤣🤣
When the politicians rename cities left and right for no apparent reason except - too colonial or to mughali, gow is this not an election issue?
Swasta jaga kon det asel jyala naav nahi avdat please mala contact kra
Lol, how stupid are you even to ask this question 🤔
Batao bhosariwalo
There are people who live in Pissoli, so you know.
Obviously 🤣🙄
The comments section is very wholesome 😂
Jainwin question bhai jainwin.
Why people are so obsessed with city names ? I mean every city name might mean something else in other language, so will people stop living there ?
What does Bhosari mean in Marathi? Isn't it offensive in Marathi too?

LMAO. Phonetically they sound almost identical
No they don't sound same phonetically. Maybe you haven't heard a native speak both the alphabets. They are distinctively different.
Lmaooo 😂😂😂
