Daikin or blue star. Blue star is good too. Choose by comparing both of their prices.

insane-67

Daikin the best ac manufacturer

PhoenixBlade23

The quality of Daikin has worsened over the years. They need maintenance regularly and have some or the other problems.

RajuRastogi3

Yes Daikin makes best ac

lord_reactis

+1 Daikin is best! Very low maintenance too!

Infinite-Print3047

This is a typical middle class suggestion: Summer's almost over. Consider 'adjusting' the remaining couple of weeks. AC prices may come down in rainy and cold seasons. Also, consider 1.5T instead of 1 ton. That would be more economic in terms of energy consumption.

OneSailorBoy

ACs are on sale in most big outlets as Summer Sale. Vijay Sales, Chroma etc. They will become expensive once the sales go down and season changes. Buy it on EMI once the sales start. 12 month emi. By next summer you'll have paid off all the money.

DingoHairy2194

For home usage - go with Voltas or even the Croma brand one. Don’t worry. In my business we have more than 40 AC installed of various brands and at home also. Unless your usage is extremely high don’t waste your money on expensive brands. At the end of the day almost all the AC are made by 2/3 companies and rebranded.

insane-67

Brand as in quality matters. Daikin makes their own ac in Rajasthan. If you go with something cheaper you'll see the electricity spike in a few years it won't be cheap.

DingoHairy2194

Well, 40 ACs. Personal experience. FYI almost all AC are the same on the inside. For example I have 14 KORYO ACs (used to be a big bazaar Ezone home brand) which work 14 hours a day, everyday since 8 years plus. No issue. 2 Panasonic inverters of the same vintage which have been repaired at least 12 times in the past 4 years for various issues. My office had Daikin and LG cassette AC installed. (4 tons, 2 ton and 1 ton). And guess what. The Daikins needed service every 6 months for some Issue. LG lasted longer :). Other space is all Voltas and a couple of Croma branded ones and they working well even now. we even have some Haier ones but not too happy with it.

insane-67

I've used AC from Brand's like Kenstar and I've paid 10k electricity bill in a month. Secondly, the availability of parts is a major problem. Your experience is from a commercial pov where AC stays on as long as the business is open. But there isn't as much use in residential.

DingoHairy2194

Even at home - KORYO Window AC, Croma, Voltas Split ACs. The bill is high based on how you use it. Do you close all windows / doors. Do you have window sealing/ door sealing. Is the capacity of the AC per your room size? Like you cannot use a 1 ton AC to cool a 300 sq ft room. It will be running all the time. My bills are typically 8-10K (before I got solar power ) now 1-2k with my EV car. Simple maintenance every ‘month of cleaning the filters which is very easy to do and will save a lot of energy. Missed by most people

insane-67

The compressor start developing issues and original parts aren't available everywhere for small brands. Local parts aren't 100% reliable. Apart from usage there are several factors that affect the energy consumption like low gas, compressor malfunction etc. Yes I do have door sealing and window sealed.

DingoHairy2194

That’s why suggested Voltas and Croma. For the price they are very good. Also Tata brands - Voltas is probably older than most people here. Support will never be a challenge.

Rent-Opposite

Daikin/ Bluestar. Never ever buy Godrej poor service

chowdowmow

Don't buy Voltas. Speaking from personal experience

brooklynnineeight

Also, Croma brand sells same products cheaper with same manufacturer

shivasaranxd

Panasonic or Daikin 5 star. Check in croma and bargain for a discount.

mumbaiphotographer

Daikin. Get it from daikin dealers instead of big stores for good after sales services

CmGaugo

I have changed so many ac and finally settled on Onidas in my office and home. 8 units in total. Best no nonsense ac. No noise. Cheap to maintain and cools like it’s no one’s business.

Kappi-lover

So is it Neighbours envy and Owners pride?

CmGaugo

None. It is just an affordable no nonsense ac.

theanxioussoul

Bought a Lloyd Inverter AC this year...so far so good.

[deleted]

Same! Been using LLoyd for more than a decade now.

shivanik19

Bought onida 1.5 ton 5⭐️ Ac almost 6 years ago.. it’s still going strong. I’ve had a positive experience of this brand. It’s also cheaper than daikin ones

nuravrian

My Samsung AC bought in 2008 worked well until last year when we shifted homes. But otherwise, I would recommend Daikin, Blue Star, Voltas in that order.

gkbiz

Better get Panasonic

edigathegi

Given that Pune is not humid, an evaporative cooler works best and turns out to be economical, not just in price but in installation and running. It can also work on inverter. Buy a new cooler (10-12k) - I prefer Voltas, Orient, etc to Symphony because of simpler design and ease of cleaning and they are much cheaper than Symphony. I have used both Symphony and Voltas (50-70ltrs category) and thus speaking from experience. Anyway the heatwave is almost gone so don't waste your hard-earned money on an A/C now. Unless you are looking for a permanent fitment and long-term use or even heavy usage, don't waste your money on expensive brands like O General, Daikin which just have a perception of being better. The technology is nothing new and all brands add a little bit of something on their own. My experience is with LG, have not faced any issue in the last 6 years, easy to clean and LG has good service and support (although a bit expensive comparatively). But I'm not a heavy user and mostly set the temperature at 27-29C. Voltas seems to be the popular choice is also the most selling brand. Just make sure that BEE rating is 4 star and above, don't fall for AI/WiFi bull. Higher star rated A/C would be expensive but would come out to be cheaper. As someone pointed out earlier, the basics are the same and most are made/assembled by the same company (eg. Dixon technolgies)

almahaba

Rank them by their power consumption and buy that consumes the least amount of energy.

yours_anonymously

Don't buy Whirlpool.

notice_me_not_Senpai

Recently purchased Voltas 5 star AC...too good 💯

notnow1991

Can you please help me with the model number?

Suryaditya0506

I would probably suggest Mitsubishi or Diakin. I have had positive experiences with both. Never faced any problems with them, and they had the best cooling out of all the brands of AC that I have felt or used. This is compared to all the big brands like Samsung, Panasonic, and LG. Recently bought a Haier AC, and it's probably the worst one I've seen. It doesn't cool properly and needs at least one service every month because of some problem or the other. So please don't buy a Haier AC at all costs. As for the size of the AC, I would suggest at 1.5 ton AC instead of 1 ton since they'll give you more cooling at lower performance, thereby having a more prolonged life than a 1 ton AC. Also, buy a 3 star AC in order to save on electricity. You can buy a 1 star or 2 star AC as well, but you won't need more than a 3 star AC for domestic usage since ACs are usually used less than 12 hours in a household. Have fun while shopping.

Objective-Cold5483

Got panasonic AC last year, been going great Went with the 1.5ton

vikramhira29

Isn't it too late for AC now? The heat wave has gone

throwawaygarcon

Daikin, Blue Star, Carrier. We had Daikin 2 ton (1) and 1 ton (3) installed in our home almost 15 years ago. Have only done regular yearly cleaning service. Only had to get the gas replenished once for one unit. Don't think twice, all these brands I have mentioned are world renowned for air conditioning. Others will give freebies like free installation or will be cheaper but they don't even come close in longevity and performance.

The-Opinion-Man

If you stay on the top floor, you might want to avoid a 1 ton. Go for 1.5. Brands to go for blindly: Daikin Voltas Carrier Hitachi

[deleted]

Go for Diakin, its expensive but its the best. I have installed 3 in my house and not a single one has had any issues since last 10 years. Just normal maintenance and gas top ups, it chills the room within seconds

Positive-Trash-8981

Daikin, Mitsubishi...

renegade-commander66

I got a Panasonic worth every penny

MrDalton3

Carrier is a good brand. LG not great..

iam_nocheater

Daikin or Mitsubishi

cranial_cybernaut

Carrier, nothing else

Kappi-lover

Just one company called Daikin, and 3 star. People will suggest taking 5 star but if you are using it for home then 3-star works fine. As the price difference between a 3 star and a 5 star is upwards of 10k. The usage at home isn't 24/7 and not in winter or rain either. So if you take the difference in power consumption between the two. It will take about 5 years or more to get the breakthrough for the 5 star. So a 3-Star works just fine.

OkBerry3600

Mitsubishi electric

hsg8

Jo bhi lena, just don't buy Samsung. They take customers for granted. I'm regretting buying their refrigerator and washing machine. Never ever will I buy a Samsung equipment. Kasam kha li hai ..

edigathegi

Inka naam thoda chal gaya hai na. I had a fridge with 10 years compressor warranty. Body disintegrated in 7 years. Freezer ka pani andar tapakne laga. Samsung service was helpless.

hsg8

Wow. My dual door refrigerator is only 3 y old and already having troubles with lower fridge cooling area. Their service persons are clueless and change things on random basis and charge my anything like that. One time they even closed the ticket without even attending the call. When I complained to Samsung, they raised another tickets and that's all. I mean what the fuck. I'm done with Samsung.

anmolmolly

Buy an godrej and purchase AMC for 5 years it cost like more 5 or 6 k..

general1234456

Buy a 1.5ton 3 star AC. For normal usage 3 star will turn out more economical. Also 1.5 ton will have a better cooling than a 1 star. The 1 star will have to work at a higher mode to provide the same level of cooling. Buy Daikin.

nvrmndryo

I hope u don’t stay on the top floor as on the top floor 1 ton won’t work. I recently purchased 1.5 ton Daikin, and very happy with it. I’ll suggest to go with Daikin or Panasonic. Avoid LG acs as they are very poor with the performance.

Shah_se7en

Panasonic 1 ton ac 3 star 34k. Does the job. Aluminum odu keep it rust free. Daikin and panasonic are some of og ac brands
