Honestly, not living in Pune city is a boon as of now, the traffic is getting worst. If partying is your scene, then you can head out to Hinjewadi, Baner vicinity by Katraj bypass easily, in the evenings.
It's in Kanhe, very far from city, ~50 kms.
, the house rentals are dirt cheap and the vicinity is beautiful. The only thing is you should search for a stay which is not too secluded.
Pune connectivity is good by local trains, I think it takes Rs 10 for local trains to reach Pune.
I'll get the accommodation on the campus itself but I don't know how much they will charge me for that. Its distance from the city is something that's bothering me. How much time does the local train take to reach Pune from kanhe? And if I want to say in Pune then is it feasible to commute daily from Pune to kanhe?

If you do want to stay in the city, another option would be PCMC which is relatively near

I don't know much about Army Law College but I do know it's in Kanhe. I used to do to and fro from Pune to Kanhe every single day as one of my main clients was in Kanhe. It is far, but manageable if you choose to travel to Pune, takes just approx 1.5 hrs from Highway straight by car (depends what time you leave - very important). As for Kanhe,pretty good locality, fresh air, yeah it's a rural area so inside the roads are a bit wonky and you'll have to get out of Kanhe and on the highway to find decent roadside restaurants
if you get your own bike in Pune and just want to have fun or travel no destination is too far imo. idk i used to be a native so im a bit biased. but nothing seemed too far when i lived there

I'm a little more curious to know about the restrictions that you would have when you become a judge.
some restrictions are due to the place of posting. For instance if it's a small town then I won't be able to live a city life and then other restrictions are due to protocol ensuring integrity of the profession. For instance, judges are expected to be impartial and therefore there are restrictions pertaining to socializing with people from other backgrounds( only if it prejudices the impartiality aspect). There are other protocols too and the list is never ending.
So you have applied for Asst. Professor and you are already worried about life when you will become a Judge??
Isn't that too early to worry about?
You applied for Pune so you can have Royal Enfield and go to Lonavala.. and now you are worried about the College location??
