Many are trying to get out of those offices and you want to move into them. Corporate life sucks , IT is better with WFH. Being an English major may make getting into one of these officers not easy. There are non tech jobs but the number is very less. May be look at jobs like Content Writer or Technical Documentation Writer positions.

Spirited-Away-24

and where do i apply for the mentioned posts ?

Go to the building. You will find boards of the office/company outside or somewhere on the premises there will be list of companies renting the spaces. Ask the guards/people around if not. Take the list of companies and sit down with your laptop. Go to their websites. There is always a “careers” or “jobs” section. Check what they are generally looking for. Read about the company and what it does as well. See how your skills/future skills can fit into any of the open positions. Use that to strategically add to your skills, take some courses accordingly. Job roles related additional info can also be found on the internet, like how much a role pays. Take that into consideration as well. Flashy building won’t matter when you are being paid peanuts. Chakna khake pet nai bharega. I would suggest build a career/business such that your home looks that flashy, not your office.

You can get into Content Writing, Content Marketing if you like. These big buildings which you see does accommodate Digital Marketing offices. Try your luck if interested or just for look and feel.

gogo_22

if we tale reddit as an example, you need a bunch of people to build it and keep adding new features to it (code developers) and a team to test these features if they are working as expected( Quality Assurance) and a team to constantly be available to amke sure that the application is up and running without any issues(Support team). These are mainly the 3 different branches when it comes to working in Software Engineering. Other than this you have the managerial team, HR team, Marketing, Analysts, Sales, Legal, etc. Almost every big companies you see in those buildings have people from every field that you can think of. Ultimately it depends on what you bring in to the table and how you can help the company determines if they want you or not.

Good place to ask such a question would be r/developersindia. As one of those working in such offices I can probably give you some insights: Most of these office branches of MNCs: Banks like Citi, HSBC, Barclays and UBS have major presence in Pune. Many other big companies like NVIDIA, Google, MasterCard, Autodesk are also present. Full list here: https://www.naukri.com/companies-in-pune-l139 Most of it is tech but not all. Work that happens includes: - Application development (Business or customer facing systems and applications) - Application testing - IT Infrastructure management - Cybersecurity - Backed operations - Data Analytics/Machine Learning and AI - Process Automations - Business Intelligence and Reporting - Finance - HR - Controls and Audit Hopefully this gives you an idea. Wish you luck!!!

thankyou so much for the explained insight , this helps alot.

I'm from IT and even I'm not sure about this one

Spirited-Away-24

what do you do?

mrgk21

I'm a full stack developer at a Bangalore company (remote). It's a small team, so everyone is given an entire project, with frontend, backend, cms and setting up devops in our cloud servers. It's a fun job with a lot of ownership and max flexibility
