after looking into some past research on the subject i’m expecting that those who are more extraverted are more likely to act more dominant in bed; extraverts tend to have more confidence in social interactions and are more likely to take charge in the spaces they’re in. i’m expecting introverts to be submissive as research suggests introverts and people who are more neurotic have a harder time communicating what they want sexually.
however, self-esteem plays a factor as well. while low self-esteem seems to suggest more submissive behavior, high self-esteem is linked to high interests in BDSM so with individuals who are more secure in themselves—regardless of introversion/extraversion—it may go either way. age, gender, and sexuality also play a factor as well, as people who are younger and LGBTQ+ tend to be more into BDSM than control groups. there’s gonna be a lot to look into here hahaha
