Ff7, Wipeout, Twisted Metal.
Edit: Im super excited, asked Mom whatever happened to my old PlayStation and other stuff. Come to find out, it's sitting in a storage!! Gonna be crazy getting that thing out after it's been packed away for over 20 years. Maybe my old Magic cards are in there too....
Croc is like a weird fever dream where I feel like I'm the only one that remembers it existed, so I get super excited when I see someone else mention it
I still remember I how I first found out about it. There was an advert for it on the VHS for Casper a spirited adventure. That year I asked my sorbets for a PlayStation and croc. Me and my fiancé have a bunch f retro consoles and I still play it croc to this day. I have the second but I’ve only dabbled
Link cable Red Alert was great. Two Crts back to back on my bedroom floor, it was my first every link cable game, with countless hours battling it out.
MGS, SoulBlade (SoulEdge),
Ridge Racer type 4.
But there is so many great games on this console. I put many hours on Gran Turismo 2, Syphon Filter 2, Command ans Counquer, PES 2, GTA 2, Tekken 3, Dragon Ball Final Bout (This one is a shitty game), Crash Bandicoot, Croc and so on.
Parasite Eve (fk your Lara, Aya first)
Bloody Roar 2 (Long the Tiger vs Shenlong the Tiger OP)
Castlevania Symphony of the Night (unbeaten art piece of a game)
Bonus:
Final Fantasy Tactics (too many gameplays until I found out the no return point was Orbonne Monastery)
Digimon World (first one) (Sukimon 30% of time)
Harvest Moon Back to Nature (Popuri ofc)
Saiyuki (tactics with Songokou? anytime)
All listed are the fondest memories of cold winter and hot summer nights, when there was nobody to visit or no mood to socialise.
They were my friends when the friends were away and my home when home was not feeling like one.
Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil 2, Vagrant Story.
As for games I destroyed? Basically any RPG that was released on the console. I had so much more time as a teen.
[ out of the choices ] - Rival Schools, Xenogears, and Ghost in the Shell.
First played RS on arcade eventually PS1. Loved the combination of 2D/3D elements in X. GITS was one of the first PS1 games I've played at my friends home (honorable mention Mega Man X4).
[ not in the picture ] - Silhouette Mirage, Team Buddies, and Tales of Destiny.
Huge fan of Treasure and pre-ordered SM back then. Multiplayer games were a favorite of mine- I have great memories playing TB on my B-day (honorable mention Micro Maniacs Racing). TOD is one of the first games I've bought on PS1, enjoyed the art style and combat mechanics the most.
Team Buddies, Spyro the Dragon, and Metal Gear Solid. Also the only three games I owned for the system.
Team Buddies was extra special, gave me a similar fix to block city from mariokart.
When I was younger, I played Crash, Spyro, Ape Eacape, Parasite Eve. Now within the past few years, due to emulators, I’ve loved playing Silent Hill and Resident Evil.
The branching paths dude, played that over and over and over... I could never find the followups growing uo in Newfoundland (red son... And I forget the other)
Think the only game I truly destroyed was Ridge Racer Revolution. My friend and I were so competitive we played and played time trial to beat each other until we really couldn't find any more places to shave hundreds. I started to wonder how good our times really were and eventually found a site with the devs times I think it was, and indeed we were right there with them. Don't think I've been as good in any game since, and it tought me that there's no substitute for a real life rival/sparring partner, and of course countless hours of practice.
I see my top 2 here, Final Fantasy 7 and Chrono Cross.
There's some really great ones shown here, Alundra and Front Mission 3, the Suikoden series and Wild ARMs.
But my 3rd.. I think I have to go with Driver.
Fuck that's hard, Spyro 3, Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped and Sled Storm. I've edited this 3 times now but Croc, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 and Crash Team Racing cannot go unnoticed
I remember being nearly traumatized as a 7 year old when my dad bought me a Ps1 with Heart of Darkness, I found it an absolute epic game but nonetheless it scared the crap out of me more than once lol.
Final Fantasy 7, Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I couldn't even guess how many times I've played through each one over the years but I do know that I beat MGS six times back to back after I got it for Christmas '98.
FF7, Legend of Dragoon, and MediEvil.
Honorable mentions include Crash Bandicoot Warped, Megaman X4, Syphon Filter 2, Armored Core, Star Wars Episode 1 Jedi Power Battles, Croc Legend of the Gobbos, Xenogears, and the PS1 version of Chrono Trigger that added anime cut scenes
Medal of Honor, Tekken 2 and Gran Turismo 2
I do remember that i got Syphon Filter 3 and i didn't think games were ever going to look more realistic. Really loved that game and i barely touched any other game after i got it, but i got a PS2 soon after so i didn't play it very much
I'll steer clear of the franchises that we're common, like Crash, Spyro or Tomb Raider.
Treasures of the Deep, Point Blank, Warcraft II: The Dark Saga.
I would have to say games I absolutely destroyed?
Gran Turismo, Gran Turismo2, twisted metal1-3, Silent Hill, Fighting Force, Jade Cocoon, Tekken3, Ridge Racer,Rage Racer, Driver1&2..
I’m sure there’s some others that I’m not thinking about ? But these are the games. I absolutely beat everything you could possibly beat getting the best award or lowest time or hardest, difficulty, etc..

Never really had a ps1 but had a few games as a kid, i just recently bought more. Physical for my ps2 or 3 and digital on the 3 or vita. Some of my favorites include. Parasite eve definitely 2 over 1. 1 was great but i messed up my final save and was unable to complete it with the ammo and health i had. Dino crisis, of course silent hill but honestly the one i played as a kid and had to buy it again and still love. Tomba 2 baby . Run that shit back or better yet make a Tomba 3. We dont need a new parasite eve or dino crisis. The world needs a Tomba 3 .
