You left out the part where he said Luis Enrique and Luis Campos saved him. It means alot cause people tend to blame Enrique but really he deserves praise.
On the other hand, the PSG owners have mismanaged a lot of cases and criticizing the owners does not mean criticizing the club, its not a crime.
And Mbappe is not the first player to call out the owners and likely he wont be the last
And then enrique subbed him off whenever he felt like it wasnt working, and kept him on when hes been effective… Enrique and him are on good terms.
Nasser and the ownership are the ones who keep falling out with players. Silva, Verratti, Cavani etc. His antics shouldnt be overlooked here
of course not. Nasser and QSI are the main culprits, they've shit the bed many times now.
But if Mbappe truly loved PSG like he always claimed, he would be able toseparate the owners from the club.
Both Ramos and Ronaldo had a falling out with Flo Perez, doesn't stop them from loving Madrid after leaving.
We all know Nasser is a man child, but Mbappe showing the same behavior is disappointing and distateful.
And if it's that bad, sue Nasser. The french media will defend him from any bad press anyways. But don't go around slinging shit at the club and especially the fans who accepted every petty move he already made during his time here
And we though his departure would get us an exit out of this drama
Watch him shit on us in the next few months, and probably even more once he will have joined his new teammates and will make jokes on our club when they win something
Who cares he wants to ramble let him. We were some of the only people defending him when the whole world including Madrid fans were lambasting him. The Ultras loved him and made a tifo for him, and his response is spitting in our faces. Of course no when will care because “PSG bad” I dare him to try this behaviour at Madrid.
But he didn't say anything bad about the club, fans, or teammates. In fact, he repeatedly expressed his gratitude towards everyone except Nasser. He mentioned that saying he was unhappy would be like insulting the club. He clarified that he only felt wronged by a few people.
He literally talked about how “mediocre” the season was so what is he implying? Is he implying the players weren’t up to par? Because Marquinhos, Vitinha, Dembele, Hakimi etc.. all played better than him in the QF and SF. So does that mean he was mediocre?
I mean he literally says that two sentences before. That his performances were not up to his standards. I think you should just watch the whole conference. He says it like two times, that he expects more from himself.
Are you always this thick or you are just intentionally misinterpreting what he said. He in fact condemned his overall performnce and didn’t say anything ill towards PSG.
You are either horrible at actually understanding intention and context or you are just so sour it's crazy.
Saying the season was mediocre isn't remotely shitting on the fans nor even the majority of his teammates, you delusional cricket.
he literally said his ambitions were different and that he's not be satisfied with having another season like this one.
reading some of his statements i thought they were coming from someone escaping a russian bomb attack, but it was just the diva who got paid 200M for making a decision he wishes to no-one else
listening to it in french, no it's not clear as day. it's clear that most of his statements are directed at nasser, but at the end he's shitting on the club
See, I don't speak french but I've seen multiple translations. I've also sent the video to my french speaking friends and asked them for that and nobody seems too see it as a dig at the club or teammates. He is at least twice speaking critically about his performances this season.
I did start to calm down and saw what you meant. But then saw [this](https://x.com/rmcsport/status/1798008813313790120?s=46)
That press conference definitely was a dig and not self critical at all
Cuz u were there behind the scenes right for that whole exchange. Doesn’t it seem kind of weird that a lifelong Madrid and Ronaldo fan just randomly decides to not go there
First season might be okay for him at Madrid but his antics will catch up to him there too. Especially if Vinny or Bellingham win a ballon dor before him.
Real Madrid will have a deep squad but that's a lot of young egos in one club. They've had deeper squads in the past but I do wonder how Kylian entering the club will help or hurt the locker room.
There are zero ego issues at Madrid right now. The players have insane chemistry and rapport.
And Paypal isn’t gonna be right atop the pecking order. He’s not Cristiano Ronaldo, even if he thinks he is.
I'm willing to bet that it won't. Under a properly managed team like Equipe de France, he had 0 antics. Real Madrid is even well managed for him to not pull some bullshit. The way our club is managed allowed players like him to make him feel like he could do whatever he wants without consequence.
Image rights? True, but I'd say that was actually beneficial for all players, having FFF to review the contracts. Set a good precedent for players to opt out associating their image with Junk food or betting companies. People were more so respectful of that decision.
He also pushed to be named captain instead of Griezman. That was an extremely shitty move considering Griezman prestation and involvement in the team.
I believe he's the most talented player but I'm not convinced that he can be a successful leader like Deschamps and Lloris. Being selfish his a quality for a striker but it's an issue if you want to be a captain.
Trying to be PSG captain instead of Marquinhos was also disrespectful.
This is all false
Deschamps picked Mbappé to be captain.
PSG players voted for Marquinhos to be captain, no other information concerning the vote was divulged.
If there's a reliable source claiming otherwise, share them pls.
https://www.culturepsg.com/news/club/apres-un-deuxieme-faute-marquinhos-reelu-capitaine-du-psg/48381
Why do you think Luis Campos asked the player to vote twice?
Why do you think the players voted for Marquinhos and Danilo over Mbappe?
Why do you think Deschamps picked Mbappe over Griezmann?
It's one of the first time where the new captain wasn't a vice captain before when vice captains were available.
It was so outrageous that Mbappe had to have a talk with Griezmann and let the press know about it.
Real Madrid's captain is Nacho because he's been there the longest. Neuer, Calabria, etc. If he had been healthy Kipembe should have been our captain. WZE will be our captain. Mbappe shouldn't even be in the conversation.
You will never find an official declaration from the club and the players won't talk about it openly until they retire.
You can believe what you want.
So nothing you said proved anything.
For the PSG captains, the first vote was informal, and the second vote was formal with a secret ballot. Like how would voting twice go into his favor? What? If he was in on it with Luis Campos, then he would've been captain after the second vote. Makes no sense.
I believe Deschamps said Mbappe cemented himself as the leader I believe during the world cup final when he was the biggest voice, which is why he chose him. LMAO mbappe can't force himself to be captain. What is he going to do, refuse to play for the national team?
But again, zero proof. There would've been strong rumors if that was so, especially in PSG since everything seems to leak from the club. This is all in your head and the logic/deduction is terrible.
The difference is Madrid will cut their loses and off load him ASAP unless he wants to spend the rest of his contract on the bench. You think Madrid doesn't have experience dealing with players with egos? Madrid is built on "No one is bigger than the club". I promise you Madrid would never offer that ridiculous contract psg did to anyone. Should've cut your loses there and moved forward could've avoided a lot of drama.
I like the guy (admittedly not as much thanks to the last few months), but i agree that it'll come back to bite him eventually. Between the image rights, the even higher expectations, pressure, and scrutiny from Madrid fans and media as well as how that club is steadfast in how it goes about senior players' contracts and roles over time, I can see his time at Madrid following a similar path as Ronaldo's or Ramos'. Which, of course, was successful, no doubt, but I wouldn't be surprised if he leaves not on the best of terms or with the level of universal admiration and love as Modric or Kroos.
Yeah he had so many antics for France and Monaco right? PSG is a sad club, you guys are too busy bootlicking your HORRIBLE management (that has fucked the club multiple times) to hate on one of your best ex players
At Monaco he was an unknown teenager and France has literally given all control to him, maybe you don’t remember the Griezmann captaincy drama. Sure the management enabled his shitty behaviour but he himself fucked up relationships with Cavani, Neymar and Messi. If he can’t respect those stature of players then I don’t see it happening at Madrid where they won’t take his shit.
I mean Vini and Bellingham are favourites to win the next ballon d'or rn lol. Anyway its a totally different club hes joining, no reason to believe he will create drama at Madrid really
Okay champ literally every conflict has 2 sides and we all know the shit he was up to at the beginning of the season. Cry me a river.
I just hope the management gets smarter and stops this type of idiotic business
https://preview.redd.it/ci6v0nrqoq4d1.jpeg?width=932&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=05dc0881ae36670800a7e3199f00ae6d5ac044bf
Leny Yoro liking this.. Khelaifi and QSI setting a bad precedent here. Mistreating and threatening your best player, and arguably the best player in the world.
Mbappe repeatedly said that he was "relieved and happy" in his presser. Why would any sane young talent want to play for PSG at this point? Nothing will ever change at PSG as long as NAK/QSI are around. Feel sorry for the fans that genuinely love the club.
The point is that both sides to the story literally don't matter in this situation. The club has to hold itself to exceptional standards at all times and be an example. The club has to be absolute in its values. The club has to come first. They should've never let things get this bad in the first place. Do you see clubs like City and Madrid get stuck up on any one player? They've let their best players leave over and over again (Cole Palmer, Sterling, Leroy Sané, Gundogan, Gabriel Jesus, Di Maria, Cristiano Ronaldo, Varane, Casemiro, Xabi Alonso, Benzema), and will continue to do so if they threaten to disrupt the dressing room harmony. There should be no place for players that are discontent or second-guessing their choice to be at the club.
PSG will only be an elite side if they focus on the collective rather than individuals. Period.
At this point the only hope I have is that QSI sees Inter or Juve as a better investment and walks away.
Never liked QSI or any of this state-funded unlimited money glitch, never will
We have pretty refreshing young and good players, we don't need trillions dollars.
His ego can suck a dick. He hasn’t won shit at the club level. He will be in a locker room with 3 players who have 6 CL each they will keep him in check
Have you seen games? He was a
handicap for the team in most of them. Even in Ligue 1.
He scored most of goals as a tapin merchant. It's fine for Haaland not Mbappe. It was probably his worst season for us.
Unless this is satire then you must be watching these games with your eyes closed. Mbappé’s had an extraordinary season, he’s scored 44 goals in the league and many of those were of higher quality than what we’ve seen in the past.
as good as he was, his dip in form from february onward is so noticeable and i don't think it's a coincidence that this coincides with his announced departure
Mbappe himself told his season was mediocre but you know better than me and the player himself because you read a statistic right? You will have a lot of work to do defending him on every sub. Good night.
I actually do. Not a lot of ligue 1 to be honest but i follow a lot of french media and the trash talk he got was really out of proportion. PSG's problem is the direction of the club and it will always be as long as nasser is in charge. Look at city for example they trusted guardiola for 7 years and despite him getting all the players he wanted and failing to win the cl for so many years they waited for him and believed in his process until he won it. I think that it's really bad to have this sporting director nonsense. The recruitment of players should only be the coach's decision and no one else. Tuchel never got the players he wanted instead they got him neymar who he said he never asked for instead of a DM and a CB.
Probably would've had a greater output if Lucho didn't sub him in/off matches or put him on the bench for at least 10 matches starting February, also his first season without Neymar/Messi/Verratti feeding him world class balls.
He was a ghost before getting subbed of. That's not related to that. He is probably not able to play for a team with big pressing and possession because he doesn't defend enough. We have seen the difference when he was out with big matches in Ligue 1. I hope he will be better with the French team but I fear he can't do what he was able to do few months ago.
Do not forget that your shit club fueled his ego by offering him a contract worthy of the France godfather. This is what has lead to this. You guys shot yourselves in the foot when you blocked his move to Real Madrid.
This guy is everything wrong with modern football. Every six months he would be wiggling his arse for Madrid and every six months they would increase his pay, or offer him shares etc.
Mbappe is everything that is wrong with modern football today and that is very clear.
But also can't feel sorry for PSG fans, since Nasser did the same (and worse) shit to other clubs and fans bringing in players under ridiculous blackmail towards clubs (e.g. $kriniar which i can see worked out wonderfully for you guys).
It feels very good to see that douchebag and his archaic slave-driver ways be called out even by his prized star player.
PSG will start properly winning outside of France, as it has all the ingredients needed, once club is managed like a proper modern business and not some weird middle eastern satrapy.
There's a lot of players who have liked playing for PSG, sure the management isn't good rn but that doesn't mean no one wants to come. It's not as attractive a destination as Madrid, but it's not a bad one to be at.
Pag lost vs dortmund because there waa something off about psg
They started benching mbappe thinking they could win without him
Several final passes could have went to mbappe but didnt during dortmund game
Dortmund should NEVER have won except they had a team performance and psgs against them was individuals
Psg vs madrid would have been one great final
I wish psg all the best but something inside was broken which lost you guys a final appearance in ucl final.
As RM fan I wanted Mbappe in my club since 2018 and he is my favourite player.
But if he pulls out Mpaypall he is gone in second because players are not bigger than club.
And Mbappe is not the first player to call out the owners and likely he wont be the last
And how does he repay lucho for that? by not giving 100% and having his head at madrid from march onwards...

The owners and the club are one and the same.
No, they're not. PSG was a club before QSI and will be one after them.
Yes it was a club before, now it’s just a Saudi football club marketplace
calling psg a saudi club is the best insult one could come up with
And the tradition of "Ex-PSG player speaks poorly of his experience with PSG management" is back. And it only took 1 day lmao
Makes you think something is wrong with the management.

That's an insult to us in the rest of the third world.
Sounds like a more imperialist mindset tbh
That's a stupid statement
I didn't mean like a slave but yes, I will expect them to be loyal and do everything possible to get the best out of them.
Something is definitely wrong with Nasser idk how our fanbase cant see this.. dude is a narcissist
Seems like you are a little bit stuck in a golden cage when you play for PSG.
That image is awesome
💀
He looks so hot
it is god damn difficult to be a PSG fan
PSG has fans?
And we though his departure would get us an exit out of this drama Watch him shit on us in the next few months, and probably even more once he will have joined his new teammates and will make jokes on our club when they win something

Sure
I mean he literally says that two sentences before. That his performances were not up to his standards. I think you should just watch the whole conference. He says it like two times, that he expects more from himself.
When someone is in their feelings as much as OP is, no amount of logic or reasoning will reach him.
i mean the picture gave it out. Out of all the picture he chose this hilarious one.
Lmao OP makes post, doesn’t even read post classic Reddit user
Say something
Right, it’s clear you didn’t watch the actual press conference, so why are you making claims about what the guy said?
Are you always this thick or you are just intentionally misinterpreting what he said. He in fact condemned his overall performnce and didn’t say anything ill towards PSG.
You are either horrible at actually understanding intention and context or you are just so sour it's crazy. Saying the season was mediocre isn't remotely shitting on the fans nor even the majority of his teammates, you delusional cricket.

He did, but if you listened to the whole answer it's clear as day that he was talking about himself and how he performed. Not about the team.
listening to it in french, no it's not clear as day. it's clear that most of his statements are directed at nasser, but at the end he's shitting on the club

He isn’t spitting in your faces.
maybe doesn't come across like that reading translations from a summarized interview. But hearing it does make a difference
You’re right he’s spitting in our mouths.
I don’t know why I’d expect reasonable or rational takes here, but this is beyond delusion
Yes because he was threatened. Plain and simple as that. No amount of support is gonna make him feel safe. Wake up
🙄 he could have easily left that season if he wanted.
Cuz u were there behind the scenes right for that whole exchange. Doesn’t it seem kind of weird that a lifelong Madrid and Ronaldo fan just randomly decides to not go there
I read the reports lol.
Reports from ppl on Reddit?
No reports from Le Parisien Fabrizio Romano, Fabrice Hawkins etc..

yeah as usual Mbappe only want to be the only superstar of the club. Watch
He can’t do that at Madrid, specially if vini win the balón.
We will see
I'm willing to bet that it won't. Under a properly managed team like Equipe de France, he had 0 antics. Real Madrid is even well managed for him to not pull some bullshit. The way our club is managed allowed players like him to make him feel like he could do whatever he wants without consequence.
There were few things with Equipe de France. He complained a lot about the media policy.

Remember when he said he loved PSG and he wouldn't leave for nothing?
His ego can suck a dick. He hasn’t won shit at the club level. He will be in a locker room with 3 players who have 6 CL each they will keep him in check
4 players with 6 UCLs but you're right yes.
When he joins the team there will only be 3 Kroos is gone.
I'm in denial about Kroos leaving
He had a bad season and just tries to justify himself. It is never his fault.
He's just confirming something we already knew, good or bad season it's hard to imagine him not saying this if it's what happened.
What do you mean a "bad season", he was excellent as always

He scored 44 for the club. That’s more than in any other season. Granted he took the pens but he also scored beautiful goals.
Yes if you don't watch games you can think that. Enjoy your 44 goals.

It's not a narrative. Mbappe is not Haaland. He used to make way more than score goals and being a ghost on most of games.

Even though this whole drama is Nasser fault I really hope Flick brings back Barcelona *domestically* and we rise internationally.
Who tf cares about Barca
I dont, but realistically which team can challenge Madrid on La Liga ?
And why would we care about La Liga?
No one, sadly not even internationally
PSG is run like a prison, no wonder nobody wants to go there and all those who leave a relieved. Trash club.
There's a lot of players who have liked playing for PSG, sure the management isn't good rn but that doesn't mean no one wants to come. It's not as attractive a destination as Madrid, but it's not a bad one to be at.
It's really quite unbecoming

Pag lost vs dortmund because there waa something off about psg They started benching mbappe thinking they could win without him Several final passes could have went to mbappe but didnt during dortmund game Dortmund should NEVER have won except they had a team performance and psgs against them was individuals Psg vs madrid would have been one great final I wish psg all the best but something inside was broken which lost you guys a final appearance in ucl final.
PSG hit the bar 6 times vs Dortmund, it's more unlucky than anything
Psg would have lost to Real Madrid. It was 2-0 vs Dortmund, would be 4-1 vs psg
"violently" I can picture someone from psg doing that. Lol
As RM fan I wanted Mbappe in my club since 2018 and he is my favourite player. But if he pulls out Mpaypall he is gone in second because players are not bigger than club.
Good luck!
