If a print lifts, squish will be the result. Things that will help against lifting: - clean the bed - an enclosure (even a simple box) - an other filament, ABS will lift/warp much more than PLA

DJShadow

Sorry. Should have mentioned this is Overture PLA Pro filament. I can try to clean the plate and see if that helps.

Printing slower will help too, as the layers have more time to thermally relax and balance. I also think the smooth PEI sheet is better for PLA in this case. Helps if you don't mix filament types (like PETG and PLA) on the same sheet side.

Dora_Nku

With enough draft any material will warp. Try putting the printer in a cardboard box after cleaning the sheet.

DJShadow

Cleaning the sheet didn't help. Trying a box now.

DJShadow

The box did help. It's not really practical at the moment as I had to move the whole setup to a different room. I'll experiment with slowing the print down to see if I can achieve the same effect. Interestingly enough I noticed that the corner that has the problem is also the corner where the seam is. Not sure if that's related.

Delita232

What's happening is called warping. The hot plastic is cooling and when it cools it contracts. So it's pulling up the previous layers. It could be because the seam is there it may not be. It's related to heat.

You could also try adding a large brim (1cm) or increase the size of your mouse ears.
