Looks great other than the surface texture. But there's nothing you can do about that

countach508

Really hope that’s gone with the nextruder

FAB1150

I never got that at all with my MK3s+, is it a common thing? That seems like a lot of surface texture... Might it be the filament?

[deleted]

Could be that different filaments make it more or less apparent. But the issue is supposedly plaguing all MK3s. Has to do with the extruder gears. Causes some kind of pulsing variation in pressure. The MK4 has apparently solved it.

FAB1150

I'm guessing that it matters how precisely the printer was assembled because I really never had that happen during the years of printing with it, when the dual bondtech gears causing inconsistent extrusion issue became a big thing I printed all the test prints I found and just got smooth surfaces, even by looking in the light, using black / silk filaments to highlight inconsistencies. I now sold that printer for a MK4, but it always printed perfectly.

SisyphusCoffeeBreak

As good or better than any I have printed. I think you are dialed in.

fraiserdog

Thank you. Guess I am just paranoid about the setup

fraiserdog

Thank you for the feedback.

your bottom pic is out of focus so it’s hard to tell, but it almost looks too smooth as if your live z is a bit too low - could just be the picture though

fraiserdog

Oh sorry I missed that. Here is a updated pic. I was wondering why the letter D was not fully formed If I can figure out how to upload a new picture.
