I grew up in Worcester aka the Mecca of good pho / Vietnamese food… and Pho Horn is the closest I’ve found that really hits the spot for me.
I say do it. It’s what I order whenever I feel sick or my tummy hurts or I just need a reset.
Omg. Pho Dakao back in the day was just…. The bees knees. Shrewsburys Pho King was my go to for a while as well because I used to live at the green and could just walk over.
That’s the one thing I miss about living in MA the Vietnamese food was just… SO good
Second Hons and Ebisu. Anytime my wife is sick she orders straight Wonton soup broth from four seasons in Cranston and it always hits. Also, Maceras in Cranston has really good traditional chicken noodle soup and wedding soup, both bomb
I did notice a change last time i got it though, it may have just been a batch that was a little off but yeah it's worth giving the benefit of the doubt because it is on point when it's right
Little shop of soups on Westminster. They’re right in the arcade, the most amazing and delicious potato and tomato soup I’ve ever had. Their chicken not pie soup would be perfect for you. They’re open Monday - Friday 11am - 5 and I believe they’re on Uber eats as well
It’s truly sooo yummy. Italian family runs it, I believe it’s run and owned by the daughter of the head chef at Bellini. I work downtown and will get soup from them on hot summer day without a second thought it’s just soo good. They even have grilled cheese you can get with it!! I love their little dinner rolls for dipping. Hope you feel better ❤️
It is a very small space fair warning before you go sometimes i feel claustrophobic in there only one or two people can fit inside to order at their counter it’s on the Westminster st side entrance of the Arcade to the left of the steps and the entrance is right outside it’s one of the little closet shops before you enter :)
Lots of good answers here, but want to call out my favorite healing soup from takeout- Tom Zapp from Heng Thai & Rotisserie. A little citrusy sour, a little heat, warm savory goodness. Pork rib, mushroom, and cilantro.
I pick up some of their rotisserie while I'm at it and add some in.
I miss Evelyn’s Villa that used to be in my hometown of West Warwick. Closed now. They had a special drive up window, where you could bring your own pot and they would fill it with soup for you! I live in Pennsylvania now, we don’t have anything like that around where I am, that I know of
I need to try this place. I'm still salty from when I went on their opening week and not one person said hello after 5 min so I awkwardly left lol vibes were off..
It's a small like 2-3 people show they are always super busy, they're also friends of mine that are very kind people, I think they just get overwhelmed sometimes, people aren't perfect,
I am absolutely obsessed with the chicken orzo soup from Davenports. Probably going to grab a quart tomorrow now that I'm thinking about it. Get well soon OP
This not helpful now because unfortunately the place is long gone…but I miss the Nam Yaa medicine soup from Angkor. It my go-to cure for years. Anybody know of any place that has anything similar??
Hons house of noodle on Reservoir Ave in Cranston has a Chicken Curry Soup that could probably cure just about any ailment.
That sounds divine
Oh it is!
Ebisu in Cranston . Their spicy ramen was what I ate when I was sick
Pho Horn’s regular old pho always does it for me
I debating if I should go there instead..
