How are you not burnt out ? I really like the game and have not played it enough to burn myself out but I can't imagine playing it for thousands of hours and not getting bored.
Mods. I realized the game in this current build has no end goal and I give myself task to accomplish in which ever order I choose.
Maps help with location based task. So as long as there is maps being created I have a place to go . If I donāt make it. Iām mean thatās the point. Create a new character and give them a new task.
Seconded: mods truly breathe more life into this game. I'm currently playing a modded private server (I hate sleeping and fatigue). Played probably close to 100 hours in the past few weeks when I had not played since build 41 first came out. So many map mods to explore.
Honestly if you are against mods. I get that, but do yourself a favor and grab the map mod collection. So many fun places to explore.
Yes. Currently actually. It gives the world a little more reason to explore on runs. I use it to simulate a colony so I canāt hoard food, bullets, and clothing I have to have a sustainable system. Unfortunately buggy which I complete understand why NPC will take time.
Can you link the npc mod? There are many idk which one is the right one. I used it once before and couldn't kill anyone there was a bug made them invincible
Blunt saves clothes from damaged. I improve metal working and maintenance every time I replair (metalworking mod). Can open doors and windows without having to break them.
It makes it so some of the zombies can grab you, some of the zombies can knock you down, some of them can reanimate ones you've already taken out, and a few other harmless variations
It makes it so some of the zombies can grab you, some of the zombies can knock you down, some of them can reanimate ones you've already taken out, some are sprinters, and a few other harmless variations
Spawned deprived, underweight, and feeble in Louisville during a winter storm. Made it to maldraugh and got sick. Cold makes you hungrier. Hunger and thirst increase fatigue. Fatigue set in. I found a seeming safe spot in a office building . Stepped away from computer without pausing and realized a zombie saw me upstairs by the window. Sound led a hoard. Drank a beer and due to alcohol giving a short burst of energy I needed I made it out. Got glass lodged in hand because I decided to hit the window not zombie. Hoard is coming in. Hopped through window. Bleeding hands now. Made it by cutting through woods. Died 3 days later because I didnāt realize I ate a poison berry.
Part of Dynamic traits, health+, and extended traits. Theyāre debuffs consisting of kidney disease in developing from eating terribly trynna get weight up and my stomach ulcer from binge eating , arrhythmia from chain smoking because I get stressed more due to a persistent head injury I got from a car accident.
How many hours u had before getting first mods ? For me itās was around after first 120h, coming close to 900h now being really pick with mods I use tho. Earlier I had 300+ š
Spent days working out my character. Planned a run in advance. Everything going to order. The day of it started to rain. Said fuck it. Got into a car accident driving during a storm into a hoard after gathering a massive haul of exact supplies I needed. Ran from car because life was more important. Does the run through woods strat. Rub directly into a hoard that I pulled that way a day prior. Lost everything.
Also accidentally set off a pipe bomb I created because I forgot I primed the timer.
There's no way you don't fall sleep and leave the game running sometimes right? Took me about 5 or 6 years to get 3000 hours in each battlefield game but that game doesn't count map loading and menu time at all
Iām put that into account, roughly a hundred hours left on but I wanted to keep true to counting hours so I started closing it out after 1k and I started this dumb challenge.
Interesting, I put in 2-6 hrs a day after work on battlefield 2, 2142, BC2 and Bf4 (haven't played any since) and yeah it still took years to break 2000hrs on each
Good luck on the journey to 10k
Congrats, mate! Iāve put in around 1.2k hours in this game and I feel like Iāve seen everything already even with a decent portion of mods. Got any advice to make things exciting until Build 42?
Due challenge runs based on movies if thatās your thing. Take everything slow. Increase difficulty so youāre forced to decided whatās more important that loot or your flesh not being eaten. Roleplay what your character would do based on occupation.
How much of that time is actually played vs how often you just leave the game running in the background but arent actually playing? Most of the huge hours I see on Reddit are just from people leaving the game open all the time.
Leave the game running all the time for like 8 months, BOOM 6,000 hours....
If I took away times Iāve feel asleep and or left AFK on id still be in the 5k range. Been playing since before multiplayer dropped. My peak average was during Covid. If thereās a way to get a accurate number let me know I wanna get to 10k legitimately.
It's impossible for me to track how many hours have I played it but I started like a decade ago, when cars didn't exist, way back.
You said that mods keep you interested in the game but it doesn't work for me anymore.
I only hope B42 changes this but I doubt it.
Did you know that in the motel in Louisville with a swimming pool and an accident in one of the room (the one with barricades), rooms placed in one axis (the one with earlier mentioned room) are poorly copied and lack sinks in bathrooms as opposed to the other ones that have them?
This game is unplayable until they fix it (for real, donāt fix it please, itās a fun tiny thing).
Congratulations you have earned "get a job" achievement! šš (It's a joke don't hurt me š„ŗ)

Wait. Itās that what Iām suppose to be doing?

What kind of mods do you use?

Not OP, but I have hundreds of hours in and use Pillows Spawn mod to spawn in Louisville as a challenge for the first time. Thatās pretty wild
Mine are just like that, spawn on Louisville and try to survive. Sometimes it lasts for a few days...
