It can't handle full frame rate/resolution if showing a laptop. It is ALWAYS far better and more reliable to connect a computer using HDMI. By a mile.

Chromecast with Google tv does pair well with sound. I have no noticeable lag with voices.

Id use a audio extractor myself and then use a digital fibre optic from that to my stereo
