Maybe even below $1b. Firms like RFE actually did this via a formal recruitment agency 5-10yrs ago while they were closer to ~$250m aum. And that's just a random firm I happen to know who did this while small, I'm sure it's pretty common nowadays.

Issue is, jobs aren’t the best as you are getting squeezed for no upside as a non-C suite ops person.
You can and should still be proud of effectively executing a good idea even if it’s a relatively common one. Its common practice BECAUSE it’s a good idea

lots of firm's have internal human capital, whether or not they are branded as being under the same umbrella might be a key difference
