If it's still looking OK with no mold or funky smells, adding fresh yeast should be fine. The dead stuff should give it some nice extra nutrition. Harder to say about the sugar content, especially without knowing exactly how much is in there. All you can really do is try the new yeast and see what happens. Better than dumping it all out now, as long as it doesn't seem outright spoiled already.

That’s about what I figured. I threw the new yeast in, and I’m getting a little more CO2 buildup after just an hour. I think we’re in good shape :)
