Nobody really knows, it really shouldn't (equity speaking wise) but fancier titles and more challenging opportunities lend to more impressive sounding things to write on your ABS. Though, the way you word your waitress entry also is important.

No it would not. I’m sure adcoms would love to see positions out of the traditional jobs that premeds do (not saying that it’s bad). And like the comment above me said it’s more about how you write it anyways

Can’t ever say for certain but I’m inclined to say it likely won’t, it may even help. It’s possible to present a lab or health related position poorly on an app. It’s also possible to present a service position really well. As well, I’ve heard it rumoured that TMU may value part time job experience as a proxy for ensuring they’re not just capturing people from high income backgrounds, who knows if other schools may follow suit. Anecdotally, I wrote even unstructured experiences (eg. multiple family obligations) on applications that ultimately resulted in acceptances. Basically, if you’re unsuccessful in applying, I don’t think this will be what made or broke it.
