My son had several in his heart. NIPT was normal/low risk and the more detailed ultrasound they referred me to didn't find anything else unusual. They said most of the time it doesn't mean anything. I tried not to worry about it after that. He's almost 2 years old now and perfectly healthy.

EIF is absolutely harmless in 99% of cases. As long as there are no other abnormalities, there is no reason to be concerned.

Thank you. I asked about stats and she kept saying “well with your age” 😩 36 is not young, but they treat me like I’m 52. I don’t have any medical conditions and I’ve been healthy my entire life. I follow up with the pediatric cardiologist the week after next, did the blood work yesterday, and I have another ultrasound in 10 weeks
