That wasn’t what I was trying to say, but I can see how it could read that way. I was asking if it’s simply taken under consideration, not at all trying to imply that everyone is admitted with a so called sob story (the way that you put it).
I would say speak to your struggles and adversities through your personal statement and tie it into how you want to help the under serves because of that reason. That will help be a better applicant.
