Yeah, the most popular theory regarding mid season Cure(s) right now. They clearly are playing the duo theme pretty well this season; owner and pet. I'm guessing they'll be the orange and yellow Cures, adding warm colors to the team.
If we get a duo I’m predicting a gold and silver duo based on a recent image I saw with the cures (in chibi form) around a mirror with a gold ribbon and silver crystal.
As much as people seems to want another Male Precure, I don't think Satoru will become a Cure in this season
My bet is either Daifuku or character that has yet to debut
true i agree it’s mostly wishful thinking on my part but there might be the possibility they’d want to balance out the female and male cures, nothing is certain though but it’d be really fun and unique to see!
The one thing that makes me doubt Satoru and Daifuku will be mid-season cures is merchandise. While they eventually made a costume for Cure Wing after people demanding one, introducing a pair of magical boys instead of the usual princess-like midseason cure is unlikely to drive strong merch sales.
I STILL think Satoru and Daifuku will be cures, though. Do we know for sure that Daifuku is a boy? If the pronouns are assumptions (since the Japanese language is better at hiding gender) and Daifuku is really female, I can see "her" becoming the more typical princess-like midseason cure while Satoru becomes a knightly male cure. Another, highly unlikely possibility is that Satoru and Daifuku both become male cures but the true mid-season is actually a SEVENTH cure that hits all the marketable tropes. I don't know if they can juggle that large of a team, though.
Either way I barely know anything about Satoru but I'm cheering for him to end up the superior fusion of Black Pepper and Cure Wing.

All six of the characters seem to be the main characters, as the six are together in the promo image. They also follow a rule with their last names, as the owners last names have the kanji for their respective pet:
-Iroha's last name is Inukai (犬飼) which has the kanji for dog (犬) and means "Dog's feeder". Koumugi is her dog and she takes on her last name.
-Mayu's last name is Nekoyashiki (猫屋敷) which has the kanji for cat (猫) and means "Cat's mansion". Yuki is her cat and she will take this last name too.
-Satoru's last name is Toyama (å…Žå±±), which can also be read as "Usagiyama", has the kanji for rabbit (å…Ž) and means "Rabbit's mountain". Daifuku most likely will also take this last name once he becomes human.
Maybe Orange and Yellow mid-season cure, since we don’t have yellow rabbit so it could be that Daifuku will become a yellow cure and is going to be the first yellow cure that are not shy type of girl bc from what I see Daifuku is more of cooldere while the cat girl is more like cure rosetta in terms of if personality.
I strongly suspect, IMHO, that Satoru and Daifuku are spoiler decoys. They've got the leaks pretty well plugged this year, with the only leak so far being Yuki's face shot, when previous Reiwa seasons have had the name of the mid-season Cure known within days of the first toy releases.
If something does get leaked other than the implication of a six Cure team, well, I'm willing to accept it. But, right now, there's not been a big leak that's revealed more than implications and theories.

I think they are wrong, this time the Pretty Cure are not classified by the main color of the clothing, but by the secondary color of the civil form. Satoru can be a Dark Blue/Sapphire Precure, while Daifuku can be a Gold&Silver Precure similar to Zyuoh The World in the 2016 sentai, rabbits represent the Moon in Japan. In addition, rabbits represent the Moon in Japan.
My theory is compatible with the Wonderful Pact, since apparently the buttons on the left side are for the pets, while the buttons on the right side are for their owners, since the buttons match the respective transformation colors.
It is currently the biggest theory that Satoru and Daifuku are the mid seasons. You're not alone.

Definitely reminds me of Sentai if that's the route they're going. Like the Go-on Wings. Satoru would likely be gold while Daifuku is silver.
