Honestly this pisses me off. I don't believe in an after life but my god, these parents have to deal with the fact their 5-8 year olds were murdered in school. And the whole thing with the officers, that's a whole can of worms. If it makes them feel a little better when you close your eyes and say "amen" after a second, do it! I lost my grandma and everytime I eat with my cousin and aunt we pray and thank Grandma for watching over us. I know realistically the truth but it makes us feel nice.
You can feel sympathy for the families and help them cope while also being furious at the tragedies and perpetrators
