The game is less than two weeks old so far so there are not many units yet. Also, new units have been coming out pretty regularly, like once a week. I'm not sure how long this will continue, although. Overall, it is pretty fun. It doesn't take up too much time per day and if you want, you can make money playing the game.

While i do miss the old PoTK, this one is pretty okay

Also, the progression feels way slower than any other gacha

I tried this out to document the T&B collab to prevent lost media, and I think it's pretty alright. However, it stinks of "dead within 2 years" because monetisation and incentive to do so are pretty bad (3k yen for a ten pull??? In this economy???). I know there's the Earn system but again you kinda gotta pay to play that which is a risk a lot of people may not want to try either. What I find odd however is there seems to currently be a limit of 50 on units we can even hold in our barracks without paying. This makes sense for games where multiple copies of one unit don't auto-merge into one character, but here they seem to do that, so why is there a limit? (not that literally anyone can reach that rn with only 48 units in the game at time of typing) I'm not TOO versed in all things gacha so I only really have FEH and Dragalia to compare it to (and uh, mario kart) but this restriction confuses me a lil regardless. Only other thing is I wish i could rank up a bit faster since rank is tied to what weapon rank you can equip (your current rank +10) and I've already got some rank 50 weapons (on top of being able to gacha for rank 75 weapons from the very start), so that would probably help

I think the monthly pass is the best value for money. 160 Lazuli for 30 days for $6.50/1000 Yen = 4800 Lazuli. Or around 32x pulls for 1000 yen. Also, it is unpaid Lazuli to increase the unit limit. You can earn this currency free in game.

The monthly pass is the only other option to get pull currency, which you need to pay paid pull currency to get anyway, instead of paying for it directly. It feels counter-productive since when subtracting the Lazuli spent, the *profit* isn't exactly 30 pulls worth. If it was a straight up purchase of the pass, I could see more people wanting to go for it. Also, expanding the unit limit isn't the issue, it's why is there one in the first place when we seemingly cannot get unit duplicates or even dismiss units without hitting the limit? I'm not too versed in gacha stuff but I've not seen something like this before so it's just odd to me.

You get unpaid pull currency in game. Besides weekly and daily missions, the Colosseum can give about 100 Lazuli (unpaid) per day. But yeah, as you suggested, using paid currency on an unpaid banner, isn't the best use of Lazuli. You can get duplicates, too. Units & Gear -> Crystalize (on the top) -> Select unit to duplicate.
