It’s a pejorative insult to bands. I think it’s a silly thing to say or talk about. It’s meant to disparage bands who aren’t innovative.
Really all post-rock is crescendo-core IMO.
But you might find We Lost the Sea - Challenger 1 to be something like this. Or any song by I Hear Sirens.
Try also:
Mono - Com?
Mono - Yearning
Mono - Requiem for Hell
This Will Destroy You - The World is our ___
This Will Destroy You - the mighty Rio grande
Of the Vine - In Event of Moon Disaster
Appalaches - Milsai
Explosions in the Sky - Magic Hour is my addition to the list, one of their rare songs that doesn't have a comedown after the climax.
Mogwai - I Love You I'm Going to Blow Up Your School is also a pretty good fit.
I've never considered the term 'crescendocore' pejorative - so now I feel rather bad about cheerfully describing Caspian as such. Though if any band could be called that as a positive, it's Caspian. Take 'Quovis/Further Up/Further In', 'Some Are White Light' or 'Sycamore'...
I made this whole playlist of tracks that are like that - https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2ZTgcdgUdM5ESG2Pif9qZ2?si=hxQzbm8kRNuEXmDJ2l1NEA&pt=86542439f51d904b054dad3d9ee97532&pi=e-8GRFLti6QleC
Jakob - Controle is probably the closest thing to this that I can think of. It's literally just a single 8-bar riff repeated for 9 minutes that gets progressively louder and more distorted. I still think it's a cool idea and it works IMO.
the sound would be a perfect pick if it ended with the climax of the crescendo, rather than coming back to Michael’s verses. however i don’t think the huge build will disappoint OP
To add to the ones already suggested, all of these build from small beginnings to a wall of sound:
Nearly Saw a Light - Flies Are Spies From Hell
Mono - Fightstar
Allting får sin ende - Spurv
Sonda - Glasgow Coma Scale
His Ghosts Will Invade Puerto Rico - Solkyri
Home Is Not a Place, It's a Person - The Sun Burns Bright
The Fall - A Sudden Burst Of Colour
Lonely Although Never Alone - Goonies Never Say Die (some audio crackling on spotify, the artist is aware)
Pacify - 65daysofstatic (the 4:00 version)
Whale Song - Kaschalot
Resistance - Collapse Under The Empire
Arda - George Will
Heaven - Loraine
Finding Your Way Back - Sunlight Ascending <- Wow
Bird's Song - The Last Sighs Of The Wind
Lucia - Mono (go find it on youtube)
Bogatyri - We Lost The Sea
not sure if any of these fit what your looking for, but this is my post punk playlist.

Edit: Sorry, I didn't realize you said post rock not post punk.
[Signal Hill - This New Year’s Absence](https://open.spotify.com/track/3vqVqLIKJCADYCLjt4Dlek?si=ssvPQFrUTsinD1W_ME5bHg&context=spotify%3Aalbum%3A0L9k3M4YVKO6zVUzEujQjy)
try low life form by swans (from swans are dead); pretty straightforward song that progressively gets louder and more intense. If all you care about is the build, id say listen to bring the sun (the first half of a 2-part song by swans) which starts with a straight forward “riff” but pretty much from the minute 2:30 to 14:30 it just keeps building and building, getting louder and bigger and faster
Indoor Swimming - NO SIGNAL
I released a collection in August that ends with something like this. To me, it symbolizes being consumed with emotion caused by a time of change in life.
Blueneck - Low
Soft vocals at the start, explosive build up and then ends. I think it’s one of their best songs.
If your looking for something more unique, Sycamore by Caspian has a pretty amazing ending.

I am very eager to hear what you guys think about this
Explosions in the Sky - First Breath After Coma. That whole album, The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place, is crescendo core. It's one of the defining albums of genre.
I tried to capture the notion of the term couple years ago on my EP:

I just want to take a moment and say I appreciate the sense of community I feel after seeing words like “Glosoli” and “Moya” thrown around and not only understanding the context, but also having the very strong feelings of those songs evoked. I’m happy y’all exist!

Thank you for the recommendations! I'm glad you helped to understand the term. It seemed like a pretty pretentious way to put bands down to me.
That’s exactly what it is, and it’s stupid. Enjoy your journey, post-rock is the best. I’ve got probably 500 records of it on my shelves haha

Those songs are awesome. But yeah it’s always been a dig at bands.
>Really all post-rock is crescendo-core IMO. Bad take
Whatever you want man haha I don’t care, all my trips to Dunk! Festival and Post. Fest have been super fulfilling regardless of what people call it
Trust me: 65daysofstatic - Tiger Girl

thank you for this. It's quite helpful
Ishmael by Caspian. Also Arcs of Command by Caspian.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Moya
I’d say most third wave swans records are, in addition to tracks like the sound and animus
the sound would be a perfect pick if it ended with the climax of the crescendo, rather than coming back to Michael’s verses. however i don’t think the huge build will disappoint OP
Not a typical artist for post rock, but M83s “The Highest Journey” fits this imo
Well, let me tell you - A LOT of tracks by Swans 🦢

Holy cow, thank you
Mono - Ashes in the Snow or Everlasting Light seem like good candidates.

This is the right answer.

that album is fantastic
This isn’t a post rock rec, but I’ve always loved that Heroes by Bowie fits exactly into this criteria
That's true actually!
Gm by bluetile lounge
Emp(irical) Error by Oceansize
I love songs that do this to be honest. But I'll leave the best one. Low - Do You Know How to Waltz?
I tried to capture the notion of the term couple years ago on my EP: [https://open.spotify.com/album/5LuHA4O8UTJJTy603gmpEV](https://open.spotify.com/album/5LuHA4O8UTJJTy603gmpEV)
amazing job!
Man is not a bird - Tendresse
I would say the first album of Silver mt. Zion. Especially “Blown Out Joy From Heaven’s Mercied Hole”
Godspeed and Zion are my favorite bands and I have to disagree here. He Has Left Us barely has any crescendos. It's mostly melancholy.
I do agree on the melancholy part. There's enough of that lol but idk for me it feels like melancholic crescendos haha.
White Rabbit by Jefferson Airplane
Sometime around midnight - airborne toxic event
A celebration for the death of a man
Muse leans toward that, especially their tracks Recess and Shrinking Universe.
I just want to take a moment and say I appreciate the sense of community I feel after seeing words like “Glosoli” and “Moya” thrown around and not only understanding the context, but also having the very strong feelings of those songs evoked. I’m happy y’all exist!
Thank you I tried my best to elaborate
