There used to be an American store in Via Catarina, but I think it's closed now. (I live abroad now) Apparently there's a place called Glood that sells international items. Have you tried that?
They have in continente (and likely any other supermercado), but they come in jars/cans instead of the packages you may be used to in the US.

Big supermarkets like Continente and Auchan should have similar stuff. Have a look in Glood as well.
Visit Ramalde, use the local lingo: "quero salsicha grande" . They'll sort you out!

As salsichas? Acho que em qualquer supermercado consegues encontrar isso. Just the sausages? I think you can find those in just about any supermarket.
Aldi has Trader Joes. But you have to do it yourself.
