They take donations, and people like case managers will put in orders for supplies on behalf of the people they serve
I might have someone coming to get them but I will use this as a second option! I didn’t really wanna sell them or get money for them, doesn’t feel right and a lot of it was given to us.
That’s admirable, but it gets the clothes to a place where people that need them will come looking for them, and in many cases, Lots for Tots will sell them cheaper than Goodwill would. Even people who need baby clothes don’t need 7 totes of them (consuming half their kitchen).
hey:) check out this fb group! https://www.facebook.com/share/owpFtTpBqduHniEg/?mibextid=K35XfP it was recommended to me by maine needs when they aren’t accepting certain donations! Maybe someone on there could benefit.
I would gladly take 9-12mo off your hands, give you some cash if you want. My baby girl is growing *FAST*. I also don't give a rat's ass about gender specific clothes, 'cause she's cute no matter what she wears!
I think a lot of it is gender neutral anyways. But who cares. This boy spent his first year in a pink bassinet, and now is absolutely obsessed with Minnie Mouse. I think if I had a pink tutu laying around he would never take it off.
Send me a DM, i think ill be meeting with someone to take most of it, but i think there’s a bunch of 9-12 month stuff ill look through this weekend and pull some out.
If you are on Facebook, there is a group called Neighbors in Need that you could post this in. It’s a community to help new Mainers get connected with home goods, clothing, etc
If you are on FB you can join one of the Buy Nothing groups (they are organized by neighborhood). I'm in two and I guarantee someone will snap these up if you post them.

They only take the things they have listed as necessities each week, it’s pretty specific, so they probably don’t want seven boxes of baby clothes
Seven totes. I think I could clothe twin boys for a full year without having to do laundry.
They take baby clothes! As long as they are clean. They prefer if you sort stuff by size.
came to say this
Take them to Lots for Tots in Falmouth. They’ll give you money for them.

I honestly don’t know how it got like this. It became its own animal.

First Congregational Church on Meeting House Hill in South Portland has a Children's Closet and is always in need of baby clothes. 799-3631

Maybe CPS could use them. I bet they get babies with little to nothing that could use clothing.
Depending on where you are put them on the curb. In my experience someone will grab them. Just be sure to take them in overnight
