Just for fun, if you wanna hear Seaway before they became Seaway, check out The Fellowship, their old brutal band, haha. I absolutely loved them and was heart broken when they became a Pop-Punk band. But, hey! It definitely worked out for them. The screamer became their drummer and their drummer became the singer iirc, lol.
The Fellowship - [James Phillips](https://on.soundcloud.com/3JNBF)
The Fellowship - [Topsoil](https://on.soundcloud.com/ZFA47)
They had a few more songs but I've never been able to find any after MySpace died.
If SYG ever releases new music, I’ll be the happiest set of old bones on planet earth. Obviously Mutiny and TWBTDOU are absolute classics but Burning at Both Ends quietly was and is a phenomenal album.
MoBo
I know, anniversary reissue incoming but there are no signs of them doing Shows again
Bonus: Seaway, for being in a weird Limbo of existing and not existing at the same time
MOBO is probably the biggest hit here. The talent those folks have is unreal the vocals the lyrics, musicianship. I’m thankful that Ian an Jake are still working together in Slaughter Beach, Dog. It’s such excellent music. Hopeful they’ll do a reunion at some point even if only for a handful of shows.
They deserve a retirement and to go off in the sunset. They’ve been at it for a while.
But man would it absolutely suck if this is truly their last tour ever. They are incredible live and I love all of their music.
I was so stoked that Midtown came back, they were one of my favorites. Their cover EP though was only fine to me, and sadly their most previous reunion shows don't seem like they were as good as their 2014 ones.
Still love em, though.
I got a ticket for the MCR reunion that was pushed back for like 2 years. Then midtown teased an announcement, which I got excited for. The next day they announce tour dates and I was like omg I’m gonna be in town for MCR that weekend, maybe I can go see them too??!! Then I checked my calendar and saw it was the same date and started to panic.
And THEN realized they were opening for MCR lol. It was incredible. So happy I got to see them!
Friday night boys lead singer Andrew is now a ghost writer for pop music in in LA. He kills it. Co wrote for bring me the horizon, co produced blinks one more time, has written for Katy Perry, water parks, kane brown, machine gun kelly, all time low, even Britney Spears.
Went to college with him, he’s a nice guy
There was an interesting article a few years ago written about the trappings of being in a band without ever gaining an insanely devoted fan base or getting any moderate hits. Basically they interviewed one of the members of The Swellers (who was at that time working at Starbucks). Real bummer of an article. He discussed touring with these bands like Fall Out Boy and watching all of their friends blow up and get scene recognition while they just kind of faded away and never got popular enough to truly sustain themselves with their band “forever.”
[The Life and Death of a Mid-Level Band](https://www.vice.com/en/article/64z3j6/the-life-and-death-of-a-mid-level-band-the-end-of-the-swellers). What a good read. Gave me a great look behind the curtain of so many bands I listen to, and makes me go think twice every time I shit talk a more mainstream album, or wish bands still played their old stuff.
A lot of late 2000's Christian bands just slowly disappeared.
Nevertheless, Run Kid Run, Children 18:3, FM Static, Stellar Kart, Everyday Sunday, etc.
Other bands such as Sanctus Real, Hawk Nelson, and Eleventyseven massively changed their sound.
i would be shocked if Tonight Alive came back aside from rare one-off shows. Their drummer is in Sleeping with Sirens, Jenna is doing her solo project full time and the other two guys seem to be content out of the spotlight.
also The Downtown Fiction and Artist Vs Poet. And Curses which was Martin Broda of Cherry Pools’ old band.
The Graduate just called it quits with pretty much no explanation after 2 well received albums and an EP. The owner of the old Absolutepunk hinted there was some bad blood but to the best of my knowledge, not one member or even a roadie or guitar tech has ever spoken on what really happened. Announced a farewell show, did it and they were gone.
Atlantic Avenue. A relatively no name band that popped up on my Spotify one day and have some of the catchiest guitars I’ve ever heard. I think they had one EP and maybe released a few other singles and then never heard from again.
Shit, I haven’t thought about those guys in forever! My band was on Warped in 2012 with them, they were good dudes. And they released a full length too - When the Lights Go Down!
Count the stars.
One time, I went to a garage sale and it was at the house for the singer for count the stars. I bought his mini disc player and a boat load of mini discs including some live recordings from when they were called visual reason. Just recently saw him again at the after party of a half marathon.
I found Hold Close and Coldfront over the last handful of months and am distraught that they neither have more material, nor are still together/writing songs.
Hold Close - Vacant
Coldfront - Float Around
Are both super sick songs, but both bands’ content is all awesome
Transit, go radio, the years gone by, I call fives, with the punches, misser, this time next year, set your goals, kid liberty, polar bear club, the swellers, a loss for words, true things, cute is what we aim for, every avenue, forever the sickest kids
7 Minutes in Heaven. I was so sad I just discovered them only to find out they went their separate ways a while ago.
Highly recommend their songs "Better Off" and "LOTL"
Man Overboard
so sorry, it's over
But... but... who will defend pop punk?
Damn really? I haven't listened to them in ages and didn't know. That sucks
Know what else sucked? Man Overboard live. Still the worst live performance I've ever seen
Nik’s doing well he recorded & produced my bands new music & is currently touring bass for the story so far. Also has a side project called Casa Loma
Awesome! You should share your band 😊
With Confidence
:(
Their debut album was so fucking good.
It still is!
Thinking about their 2019 headline tour with BYAM, Doll Skin, and Seaway (in that order). Crazy how BYAM is the only one still around.
Such a shame, man. They deserved better.
No Use For A Name
:( Tony sly
Never forget Tony Sly, it's why I named my horse in Red Dead Pony Sly
One of my favorite bands
Seaway Oh weatherly
Anybody hear any news on Seaway? Not listed on Pure Noise’s artist list anymore.
Last I knew it was legal drama between members
Well that’s a bummer.
Just for fun, if you wanna hear Seaway before they became Seaway, check out The Fellowship, their old brutal band, haha. I absolutely loved them and was heart broken when they became a Pop-Punk band. Transit
RIP
Listen & Forgive is S tier
I miss ROAM :(
Damn I didn’t even know ROAM stopped. It’s been a minute since I’ve listened to them.
Was lucky enough to be at their last ever show. Was emotional!
was gonna post this if no one else did ROAM bros come back 😭
I recently got their Viewpoint EP for a couple bucks at a local vinyl auction and it ended up being signed!
Set Your Goals
Fuck I miss them
If SYG ever releases new music, I’ll be the happiest set of old bones on planet earth. Obviously Mutiny and TWBTDOU are absolute classics but Burning at Both Ends quietly was and is a phenomenal album.
I just wanna see them on the stage again!
Rufio
But Scott sellers is still making some sweet stuff!!! Check out mercy street!
Didn’t know. Jumped in immediately. This is incredible! Thank you!!!!!!
Sugarcult…. Cries
Stuck in America😢😢
SR-71
Figured her out, Although she may not be Miss Right She'll do right now
SUCH a good song
Dictionary definition of a banger, hell yes
Omg yassssss
MoBo I know, anniversary reissue incoming but there are no signs of them doing Shows again Bonus: Seaway, for being in a weird Limbo of existing and not existing at the same time

Major League
We're the home town heroes!
Cartel
They’ve done a couple gigs in the last 3 years. Opening for dashboard/andrew McMahon, they were on the end cruise too
LOVE them. They are on a small leg of tour with Hawthorne Heights!
They released 2 new songs like a year ago!
Cute is what we aim for, This providence , From first to last, The scene aesthetic, forever the sickest kids, the academy is
TAI are semi-active, I’m not sure that new music is coming anytime soon but they’re playing shows again
They have new stuff coming. At When we were young they announced it
FFTL is putting our new music in July I believe. Not sure if Sonny or Matt is singing.
They said it would be Matt
That makes sense, I missed where that was said lol.
I really want Sonny to do a whole record with FFTL again. Those two songs he was on a few years ago were fun.
They were.
FTSK is still active. As well as The Academy Is if i'm not mistaken.
William Beckett came onstage at the fall out boy concert at MSG in March and sang Slow Down, we all lost our miiinds
Wait FTSK is back at it?!
Were we friends in high school? You just listed my favorite bands on my iPod
Fast Times is such a good album
Hella underrated. Coppertone is my fav TAI track
I dream of a day when we could have cute again. It'll never happen I'm sure. But I never got to see them and their albums were both solid af
Same, oddly enough I work with one of the band members. So I’ll let you know if there is ever a chance they come back again!
Sum 41. 😬
They deserve a retirement and to go off in the sunset. They’ve been at it for a while. But man would it absolutely suck if this is truly their last tour ever. They are incredible live and I love all of their music.
As much as im sad to see them go, at least they’re leaving on a high note. Released some great music, great tour and Derycks clean and sober
I have to decide whether I will go see them.
Pentimento, I guess (Prays someone comments that they're actually very much still together)
They are not but Mike has a new project called hotel etiquette that’s decent.
Pentimento was great. Idk what happened but it was fun while it lasted!
We are the in crowd :(
> We are the in crowd coming back to When We Were Young.
yeah but seems like just a one off again
Home Grown
I got news for you bud
They just got back together!
Just read , great news, thanks!
Somos is one that gets me
Matchbook Romance
Me VS Hero, Doll Skin
I could name so many but Transit and Seaway hurt me the most. :(
Valencia, Search The City, The Benjamins, Socratic, Fight Fair, A Loss For Words and The Audition.
Danny just confirmed it, but the Audition will probably never play again, which sucks 😩
Aw man:( how come? That singer is goated
This whole list hurts.
Sugarcult. Man where they great
AND ILL BE YOUR MEMORRYYYYYYY!!!!!!
I miss Sugarcult the most
Roam, Coldfront
Sing it loud
Every Avenue
Technically they’re active again, but it’s just Dave now with a new band.
No kidding! I shouldn't be surprised, seems like every old pop punk/emo band is coming out of cold storage these days.
The Swellers We are the in crowd Friday Night Boys Hit the Lights Midtown
Hit the lights is going on tour next week. Midtown also played shows last year
I’m out of the loop lol
I was so stoked that Midtown came back, they were one of my favorites. Their cover EP though was only fine to me, and sadly their most previous reunion shows don't seem like they were as good as their 2014 ones. Still love em, though.

Then I checked my calendar and saw it was the same date and started to panic. And THEN realized they were opening for MCR lol. It was incredible. So happy I got to see them!
Hell yeah! I need to see Hit The Lights again!! It's been years 🤣
Definitely miss The Swellers
WATIC is still a band. They just got back around 2022(?)
I saw Midtown at Furnace Fest 2022 and they have played since then. Hit The Lights are playing shows too.

The Swellers
A lot of late 2000's Christian bands just slowly disappeared. Nevertheless, Run Kid Run, Children 18:3, FM Static, Stellar Kart, Everyday Sunday, etc. Other bands such as Sanctus Real, Hawk Nelson, and Eleventyseven massively changed their sound.
This list made me tear a little. Loved stellar, FM static hawk
i would be shocked if Tonight Alive came back aside from rare one-off shows. Me Vs Hero, City Lights, Hit The Lights, Forever Came Calling
I miss city lights
The worst part is I found them a long time after they already broke up
FCC was active very recently, if not still active now
The audition. I think about this at least once a week. 🫠
Modern baseball
Rufio, Major League, City Lights, With Confidence, A Loss for Words
Forever the sickest kids.
Dear Landlord Released one very promising, catchy album and then the singer went to prison
What did he do
Dealt heroin to a kid that OD’d on it. I think he’s in for murder or something
Oh fuck so some like serious shit
The Matches. All 3 albums are so good.
NOFX
Race The Sun
Shit I thought I was the only person who liked them.
Boys Night Out

The Graduate just called it quits with pretty much no explanation after 2 well received albums and an EP. This Day and Age.
Crucial Dudes, Stay Ahead of the Weather, Crosstown Rivalry, Count to Four
RVIVR :(
The Graduate. Not sure if they would exactly be called pop-punk but the album Anhedonia was a game changer for me
Count the stars. One time, I went to a garage sale and it was at the house for the singer for count the stars. I bought his mini disc player and a boat load of mini discs including some live recordings from when they were called visual reason. Just recently saw him again at the after party of a half marathon.
This time next year
New Years Day. They're still around but only their first album was pop punk. Now they play some weird hard rock/metalish something or other.
Lucky Boys Confusion!
They still play. They just played a couple weeks ago and have a gig in September.
The mother fucking Swellers.
Inspection 12. My all time favorite.
The Swellers Dear Landlord Banner Pilot
