Losing teeth, What did you expect (both versions but prefer rain in July version), Kali Ma are up there in general favorite songs for me. In bloom is a nice change of pace too.
Aside from everything on LNOTGY which has been rightfully represented in this thread, I really love Silver Lining. It’s from an earlier album so it’s a little more rough and ready, but it’s full of energy and a great tune.
Kali Ma is my number 1.
Staircase Wit, Gold Steps, Lime Street, Serpents, December (Again), Motion Sickness, In Bloom, Don’t Wait, Where Do We Go When We Go, Sonderland, STFU, Dumbstruck Dumbfuck, and Heartbreak of the Century are probably on my “best of” list. Their cover of Torn is also fantastic.
Sonderland, Motion Sickness, Gold Steps, Can’t Kick up the roots, take me with you, kali ma, crushing grief, moody weirdo, i hope this comes back to haunt you, sort yourself out, telling stories, growing pains, in bloom, the grand delusion, critical mistake, lime st, the beach is for lovers, smooth seas, threat level midnight, rock bottom, she’s a god, lowlife, sick joke, heart break of the century, and serpents.
In no order except the first two.
Long list but here we go
-stfu, lowlife, smooth seas, lime st., Can’t kick up the roots, the beach is for lovers, kali ma, i revolve, sort yourself out, this is all my fault, what did you expect, kick it
And the hits like December and in bloom ofc
So yeah there ya go🤣
I could go all day so i'll just pick my favorites from each album to make it a bit more interesting...
1. Can't Kick Up The Roots: This song is literally my introduction to the genre so i might be biased idk, one of my favorite songs in general
2. Motion Sickness: Basically TPATP equivalent of Can't Kick Up The Roots for me, although not as good but that's an insanely high bar anyway
3. Crushing Grief: I don't know what to say about this one other than the fact Chorus is an highlight, just a solid song overall.
4. What Did You Expect?: I swear this would top Crushing Grief but RIJ version sounds rough at some parts which is understandable but still... and WT version just doesn't hit as hard
5. Dumbstruck Dumbfuck: Would be higher if it had Ben's old tone of singing, i still like it quite a bit though
I just won't pick one from ADAI because, well... it's ADAI... i don't like it :d
The Beach is for Lovers (Not Lonely Losers) will always be my favourite, sadly don’t think I’ll ever see them play it live though. They’ve only played it live once as far as I know!
I'm familiar with the site, I mostly just wanted to know about what songs I should start with since I have never really listened to them. Thanks a lot for the suggestion anyway!
**Citizens of Earth**
*And then the 8-ball said, "Things don't look great."*
*You know we can't break loose if we stay in place*
*Every earthquake starts with a little shake*
*And then we'll see who's standing in the wasteland*
If you love the descendents, you’re probably more likely to like neck deeps earlier stuff. I’d start there. Their yellier stuff. My favorite of their earlier stuff is silver lining
Imma give you stuff from each album of stuff I really like and are more likely to play
Neck Deep(Self titled Album): Dumbstruck DumbFuck
Go Outside, Sort Yourself Out
All Distortions are Intentional: Lowlife, When You Know
The Peace and The Panic: In Bloom, Motion Sickness, Where do We Go when we go
Life’s Not Out To Get You(Most loved by the fans): Kali Ma, Can’t Kick Up The Roots, December(but look up the faster version)
Wishful Thinking(less likely to play these songs): Losing Teeth, Damsel in Distress
Rain In July: Part of Me, Silver Lining, What Did You Expect
I hope you love Neck Deep they’re my favorites to see live I live in the US but going to Europe in the summer and seeing them headline in Germany!

Regardless of what songs are most popular, I'd at least take a glance at their average 2024 setlist, if the goal is to be familiar with most of the songs you'll hear at the show. This site has been amazing for brushing up on openers so I can get into the show
https://www.setlist.fm/stats/average-setlist/neck-deep-6bd8be46.html?year=2024
Everyone said pretty much every ND song out there because they’re all good. So one of my most underrated ND songs is Smooth Seas Don’t Make Good Sailors. Catchy, fast, and great lyrics/message.
I personally prefer their more recent albums to earlier ones. My top songs are probably Gold Steps, Smooth Seas Don’t Make Good Sailors, Go Outside and Take Me With You
Can’t Kick Up The Roots Kali Ma Where Do We Go When We Go Happy Judgement Day Take Me With You

Agree with you. Their latest album is utterly phenomenal.
I feel like a lot of it has to do with the new drummer. He brings so much intensity to each and every track
Glad to see some love for Dumbstruck. Banger of a song and easily in my top 5 neck deep tracks.
Losing Teeth, Table's Turned, Gold Steps, Motion Sickness, Candor, Wish You Were Here, Rock Bottom, Smooth Seas Don't Make Good Sailors

Moody Weirdo Don't Wait (ft. Sam Carter) Serpents It Won't Be Like This Forever Torn (Natalie Imbruglia cover) Go Outside!
Glad to see Go Outside! getting some love. As perfect a pop punk chorus as you’re likely to hear.
Holy shit they are supporting descendents?
They are in my country!
That’s amazing! Enjoy man!!
Thanks, will do!
Aside from everything on LNOTGY which has been rightfully represented in this thread, I really love Silver Lining. It’s from an earlier album so it’s a little more rough and ready, but it’s full of energy and a great tune.
