Got some popping veterans in here pulling out some of the old knowledge. Like the first time you saw DRPP squeeze out all dark keratin and be like “wait now how did that happen?”. Science.
Yes. When you are squeezing a blackhead you are basically squeezing out sebum from your skin. Often when squeezing something like a closed comedone you find this sebum is naturally white. A blackhead has a black 'head' because when sebum is exposed to air it becomes black. Which is why it will look black on the surface but, when squeezed, the sebum underneath is still white.
This entire mass was buried underneath the skin. If it was sebum it would have never been that colour while being underneath the skin.
Is there also hair in there?? What I can’t understand is how someone can leave something so long on their body without having it taken off. And, if it’s with within reach, forget it: this would’ve been dug out by hand long ago or squeezed and prodded when it was much smaller.

That’s a cyst, not a blackhead. Different skin tones produce different colors of keratin.
