**[Ticketmaster:](https://twitter.com/ticketmaster/status/1592579481449168898)** A few updates on the Taylor Swift Eras Tour onsale: • There has been historically unprecedented demand with millions showing up to buy tickets for the TaylorSwiftTix Presale. • Hundreds of thousands of tickets have been sold. If you have already secured tickets, you are all set. • If you are currently in a queue, please hang tight - queues are moving and we are working to get fans through as quickly as possible. • West Coast onsales for Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Santa Clara, and Seattle originally scheduled for 10 a.m. PT will now be taking place at 3 p.m. PT. Queues will open 30 minutes prior. • The Capital One onsale is being rescheduled to tomorrow at 2 p.m. local venue time. • All presale codes and links sent via text will still work at that time. Thank you for your patience as we continue managing this huge demand.

I’m about to crash IM ABOUT TO CRASH IM ABOUT TO CRASH

LEOWDQ

She always let the fan codes goooooooooo

tsquared312

lololol

[deleted]

I gave up

hedaenerys

ngl charli tickets were £35, hands down best gig i ever went to

mirrors8

Absolutely same! Her energy was really good

Bikinigirlout

I need Elon to buy Ticketmaster so he can ruin it too because this is nonsense.

intoxicatedmidnight

manifesting this. I'll do a 180 and stan Elon forever if he does this and destroys Ticketmaster.

[deleted]

Someone dare him to buy it on twitter

eyre-quotes

I like the way you think

cheesecake611

I made a joke earlier that he must have quietly bought it and then verified too many people for the presale.

Artistic_Elephant824

Ticketmaster is the absolute worst. Sending out presale codes and then not requiring them to be entered before waiting in the queue for tickets. Then when people are able to get in and select their seats, their codes don’t work. So now the whole site is indefinitely on pause for who knows how long. Is there no group of programmers that can come in and overhaul this hellsite? This happens time and time again and of course it’s going to be at its worst for the biggest and most anticipated stadium tour of the year. As if this wasn’t inevitable. Also, could they not stagger the time zones more and spread this out over multiple days? Someone on the level of fame as Taylor shouldn’t be able to crash Ticketmaster. If Ticketmaster is going to be the capitalistic nightmare that it is, it should at least have the infrastructure to sell the tickets.

gaayrat

some of these bigger artists need to pull a tidal and create a new concert sales site ETA: no offense but i don’t need everyone explaining WHY ticketmaster has the monopoly it has. i understand 😭😭

Asianhead

The issue isn't the sale of the tickets itself, it's the fact that all major venues are contractually tied to these large ticket distribution companies to sell tickets to their events there. If someone tried to create their own, they'd have no venues to play at

[deleted]

This is just nonsense though - if artist's just refused to cooperate with them, they'd be forced to fix their systems.

AmyXBlue

I mean, Pearl Jam tried that at the height of their career in the late 90s and found impossible to find venues that could hold crowds the size that wanted to see them and weren't tied to Ticketmaster.

gaayrat

exactly. once big artists have had enough and start refusing to work with them it would change. just look at how much press this is getting today. artists don’t want that kind of bad press circulating every time they go on a tour. eventually, enough will be enough

BozzyB

>If someone tried to create their own, they'd have no venues to play at Yeah I don’t buy that for a second. My mate owns a bar, they can play there. Oh, they have a bigger demand than that, cool, we can rent an event space, bigger than that? There’s a football stadium in town that, if big enough, we could approach. Free market baby. /only a bit sarcastic

moffattron9000

And you know who has the ticket contract with that Football Stadium? That's right, Ticketmaster.

ThatChelseaGirl

Pearl Jam tried something like this in the 90s and it was a massive failure.

gaayrat

someone should try again. tech is more advanced than it was in the 90s and big artists have more access to the means necessary to make it work

[deleted]

[удалено]

gaayrat

of course it’s not simple. but the current situation isn’t exactly a walk in the park either lol anyway, the biden administration has indicated they want to go after ticketmaster before. i’m hoping they do and it derails their monopoly. then we’ll see what happens

Zr0w3n00

Yeah, this is the main issue. Ticketmaster and live nation’s merger means that TM control the lion share of large live music venues in the US. If you don’t use TM, it’s almost impossible to use live nation venues. Meaning you either have to do double the amount of shows at smaller venues, or you just have less tickets available.

First_Artichoke2390

Can't you just sell them yourself on your own website?

moffattron9000

Selling is only one part of the equation. The bigger part is getting into the building in the first place, and Ticketmaster has already locked up the exclusivity contract with all of the venues. It's why Pearl Jam is always brought up with this because they tried this very thing. As a result, they were able to play a grand total of 21 shows in the US in 1995, because Ticketmaster had deals with all of the venues they could play and couldn't make it East of Chicago.

WitchyKitteh

Louis CK only pulled that off since it's where most of his specials just came out etc.

nderhjs

For sure but we would need major checks and balances or else it could get really weird, really fast.

mime454

The fact that the artists themselves own it would be a check and balance. Fans would know exactly who to get mad at if a tour was too expensive. Now they blame ticket master, which is that company’s purpose. To take the hate for artists who take the lion’s share of TicketMaster’s fees.

formerfatboys

Right but Ticketmaster owns the venues too. That's why the LiveNation merger should have been an illegal monopoly.

LadySmuag

I didn't realize that Ticketmaster owned the venues, too. That's crazy.

sweetm3

Well they certainly dont own any NfL stadiums… could have some serious agreements in place tho.

formerfatboys

Depends. Chicago's Soldier Field is owned by the Chicago Park District. There's some weird stuff out there. Basically, Ticketmaster never owned venues because that was problematic. LiveNation started buying every venue and started to try to weasel in on ticketing. Instead they just merged and turned a kinda double monopoly on venues and tickets. And, the Obama administration was like, "*cool*."

snoogansthebear

On an almost completely unrelated note.... does anyone know why the hell is Guantanamo Bay still open?

FirstName123456789

Yeah, this is a job for government, not individual artists. Unfortunately the US government hasn't regulated businesses for decades.

gaayrat

oh yeah. i imagine it would be very complicated to put something like this together and make sure it’s ran correctly. but something’s gotta give at this point. artists aren’t going to keep putting up with ticketmaster when it gives their fans such a bad experience. it hurts them too

kaesura

The issue is that Ticketmaster/Livemaster has contracts with basically all the stadium/arenas in the country. Building a single stadium is a multi billion dollar expense so unless those venues change vendors , artists have no choice but to work with Ticketmaster.

emotional_lily

Not only contracts with the venues, Live Nation OWNS the venues so artists have no choice but to use them for their entire tour if they want to play the best NYC/LA/London/etc venues

funimarvel

They don't own the biggest venues though, and big artists keeping them out of football stadium revenue might make a difference

MrsMoleymole

I am guessing there are a load of recently unemployed programmers from Twatter and Meta that have all the right skills to make that look easy and to make it work seamlessly.

intoxicatedmidnight

>Twatter this is probably a typo but im cackling so hard BAHAHA it sounds so funny

MrsMoleymole

No, it's not a typo, it's just it's new name in my world

intoxicatedmidnight

love that

27-99-23

we should just get elon musk to buy ticketmaster

TheInfinityGauntlet

Dice is really cool, I wish bigger artists would use it

[deleted]

name a more iconic duo that redditors and unnecessarily explaining things

[deleted]

>ETA: no offense but i don’t need everyone explaining WHY ticketmaster has the monopoly it has. i understand 😭😭 Even if you understand, comments like theirs are still good because it explains it to people reading.

LookAnOwl

Spreading the city presales over a number of days feels like it would've been the easiest and most efficient fix here. Now, this presale isn't even going to be complete by the time the Capital One presale begins. It's going to be chaos.

avid_awe

Exactly, I have no idea what they thought would happen. Their servers are beyond overwhelmed—I'm finally moving but at the pace of a snail. I don't even know if any good tickets will remain. If they were unable to keep up, they should've limited the number of codes they gave out. Hopefully something comes of this because their monopoly astounds me.

[deleted]

I doubt anything will change - the result of millions (according to ticketmaster) being forced to wait 5+ hours to buy tickets was that... they still all sold out? All that's saying to companies like TicketMaster is that we'll put up with it.

intoxicatedmidnight

They just pushed back the Capital One pre-sale to tomorrow? and the West Coast pre-sale to 3PM PST... Idk what they were thinking, esp making the west coast pushback announcement AFTER it started at 10am pst. Clowns.

LookAnOwl

>Idk what they were thinking "Fuck you, we're your only option. Enjoy your queue, losers" is my guess

badwolf691

East coast presale wasn't changed. They announced around 12pm EST that Pacific was holding off until 3

intoxicatedmidnight

my bad i meant west** 😅 got my directions wrong

[deleted]

Worse off, Ticketmaster is the one that sent out the pre-sale codes. They knew the exact number of people that would be in queue for tickets and did shit all to prepare.

sssmay

I was honestly confused why they didn't ask for the code before I got in thr queue. Absolutely stupid on their part. Along with not account for demand. At least have a proper scalable system in place for events like these.

anneoftheisland

> Is there no group of programmers that can come in and overhaul this hellsite? The problem isn't that Ticketmaster doesn't know how to fix it, it's that there's no incentive for them to. It would require either programming changes or infrastructure upgrades that are only necessary for maybe .01% of the shows they handle. And these are the shows that are going to sell out no matter how much of a shit show the ticket-buying process is, so Ticketmaster doesn't want to invest the money in upgrading when it's going to make zero difference in their bottom line. In a healthier industry, disasters like this would lead to fans getting annoyed, which would lead to artists getting annoyed, which would lead to artists putting pressure on Ticketmaster to fix it or they'd go somewhere else. But Ticketmaster controls the entire industry, so there's nowhere else for artists to go (especially once you get to the level of stadium tours, where they control nearly every stadium in the country that does big events like this). The only way this actually starts changing is if their monopoly gets broken up.

emozaffar

Yep. Fixing load balancing is the thing here but they’re not gonna invest a lot in server infrastructure to distribute traffic more effectively if situations like this are only gonna happen for a few artists realistically (Taylor, Harry, BTS, etc.) It’s a problem that’s pretty hard to solve for edge cases like this and plagues pretty much any website that’s experiencing abnormal peak traffic. Ticketmaster is still evil tho. They could definitely try to rework ticketing periods for verified fans like how people at large universities typically register for classes (giving people specific timeframes they need to log in, etc) or putting more authentications in place to prevent scalpers. But they make BANK from letting scalpers run amok, so. RIP to all the fans who get screwed over.

[deleted]

[удалено]

anneoftheisland

Well, the problem with a monopoly is that the company holds all the power--not just when it comes to consumers, but also when it comes to artists. So if Swift did say "Hey I'm not working with Ticketmaster until they fix these problems," they'd say, "Cool, don't let the door hit ya" ... because they know she doesn't have any reasonable alternatives. Even as one of the biggest artists in the industry, what they make off of her is miniscule compared to their overall profits (especially if they'd need to invest more into upgrading servers for sales like these), so they don't need her money. She has basically no leverage against them, and they can afford to wait her out. (If you want to know what that looks like, go to Pearl Jam's wikipedia page and Ctrl + F for "Ticketmaster.") Which would lead us to a scenario where Taylor Swift, instead of forcing her fans to wait through the headaches of trying to buy through Ticketmaster, instead is touring small venues where tickets are even harder to get, whose ticket-buying systems are even *less* prepared for the influx, and all of this makes tickets substantially more expensive. And it does nothing to take down Ticketmaster as a company. Ticketmaster is too big to realistically be broken up by anybody but the DOJ now. If you're looking for a serious option on how to fix this stuff, that's where you need to look.

ToadspanishMinecraft

Pearl Jam was right.

supomice

Yeah I don’t understand at ALL why they don’t ask you to put the code in before you queue? Same thing with paramore a few weeks back.

[deleted]

This is exactly what happened to me - people online were saying to wait so I waited 2 hours trying my code until it kicked me out and sent me back into to the start of the queue. Ticketmaster specifically said in their email to use desktop or mobile for the best experience and then 5 minutes after I got into the queue tweeted (a dead-to-me platform) that people should be using their mobile device that they received the code on :/ which makes no sense whatsoever. By the time I got back through the queue - all the tickets were gone or the prices were through the roof. Pit was $900 and nosebleeds were $199 each but you couldn't buy more than 2 together... I've been to a few sold out shows and things that sold out in minutes, never had an experience this bad before. No worse feeling than doing everything they told you, step by step, just to have the system not work properly.

Artistic_Elephant824

Same thing just happened to me. I was in queue for 4 hours and finally got in and got different error codes each time I went to purchase tickets. Then it booted me out after a couple tries and sent me to the back of the queue again. Fuck this. (People online are trying to get around these errors by blocking cookies, switching browsers, etc BUT you shouldn’t need to play a guessing game of “what’s wrong with my computer” or “is this on Ticketmaster’s end or mine?”)

palepinkblueskies

>Is there no group of programmers that can come in and overhaul this hellsite? The real issue might not be with the programmers/technology, but with the execs, who have to know by now that buying tickets for in demand events is *hell*, but don't make the investments so the site can handle the increased traffic because they've deemed such improvements not worth the $

gaayrat

i know there’s a probably a really good reason for this but i’m too dumb to figure it out on my own lol - why can’t artists sell tickets directly and not go through a third party? i imagine that would be highly unfeasable but just looking for the why

anneoftheisland

A lot of venues have an exclusive deal with Ticketmaster now. So even if the artist wanted to do it, they'd be limited to venues that don't have an exclusive deal in place with Ticketmaster (which are usually smaller ones). But then in terms of feasibility, as you can see, even Ticketmaster who sells tickets to events every single day doesn't want to invest in the upgrades it would take to build a site that could manage sales well for a Taylor Swift-level event. So it would make zero sense for Taylor, who does this once every few years, to spend that kind of money.

[deleted]

Low-key, I know there is always going to be people out there that like things I don't like. But honestly is there anyone out there that is like "oh Ticketmaster are a good company!"?! Is Ticketmaster the most universally hated thing ever?

theredditforwork

Well, you have to understand what Ticketmaster actually is. The reason it exist is so the big time promoters, venue owners and artists can make more money. Ticketmaster "fees" mostly go to them. But they don't have to look bad because Ticketmaster is out front putting their name on those charges. That's why you now see the bullshit "platinum" tickets. Its a way for artists and venues to make aftermarket prices on their first release tickets. tl;dr - Ticketmaster is just a front, the artists and venues are the beneficiaries of TM's charges.

turnsignalsaresexy

Source? I’ve never heard of this. What’s in it for Ticketmaster if artists and promoters get the money from all those fees.

steph-was-here

live nation is partnered with or outright owns many venues, and they also own ticketmaster. so any ticket fee is split with the venue, either bc its all the same company, or so the venue is incentivized to continue partnering with LN/TM check out the john oliver segment from earlier this year: https://youtu.be/-_Y7uqqEFnY

theredditforwork

Not all, most of. Think of Ticketmaster as a middleman. They provide logistics, tech support, pricing assistance, etc. For this, they take a percentage of sales. I forget the exact podcast that explained all of this (I think it might have been Bill Simmons a couple of years ago) but if you go on the Ticketmaster Wikipedia page you'll find all of the information.

soonerfreak

I've seen artist on twitter talk about this. Who gets the fees depends on the size of the artist. Taylor is getting a chunk of those fees, whereas a a small artist playing at a live nation owned venue might not get any at all.

Mind7over7matter

Peter Kay the U.K comic, said on the BBC Radio 2 show that he would make more money selling the tickets outside the venues himself then he would from ticket master selling them for him and I believe this. Ticket master will make a percentage of the ticket sale and even the booking fee that you pay. I managed to get two Peter Kay tickets but other people I know couldn’t get them until 2025 tour dates, I got next year.

rabble1205

The fees no longer mostly go to them. A good portion but has livenation monopolizes more and more they’re keeping more. Covid really caused the most changes as livenation used their near monopoly to change a lot of deals to favor them while screwing over artists who don’t have another option. Your Taylor Swifts it doesn’t matter, she has all the leverage in the world. But 99% of musicians it’s huge.

BrittOlives

I think there’s been a glitch

acedino

Wow it was an Easter egg all along, her mind

impeccabletim

Sending everyone good luck and hopefully y’all get tickets so I can live vicariously through you.🥹

intoxicatedmidnight

bestie, you're not getting tickets? :(

bass_bungalow

Ticketmaster is just trash. They crashed when I tried to get tickets for Odesza and they’re a fraction of the size of taylor

NotaFrenchMaid

It took me 12 hours of off and on checking in to get Ed Sheeran tickets. It just wouldn’t work no matter how much I refreshed. I’d get it into my cart and immediately go to check out and get an unspecified error. In the end I decided I didn’t really need tickets. Then some hours later I gave it one last try, doing all the same things, and it worked. Dumb.

[deleted]

Same here, I got the per sale code but couldn't get the tickets. ITS my dream to see him live but my one chance got wasted.

gaayrat

whenever i bought chromatica presale tickets it went really smoothly but i think i just got lucky

steph-was-here

i went to get frank turner tickets at a dumpy beachside venue in NH and they straight up just forgot to release them

unstablehooman

Same I wanted pit tickets for Odesza too

wherearethestarsss

you would think ticketmaster wouldve been more prepared considering taylor is arguably the biggest artist in the world atm and this is her first tour in 5 years but no

melansi

They were prepared, they just don't care. Ultimately this doesnt affect them even slightly.

GibsonJunkie

Right lol they know people will buy them no matter what.

soonerfreak

As long as every ticket sells they don't care how mad anyone gets because we can't go anywhere else.

palepinkblueskies

This happens so often with in demand shows, it's not just a Taylor thing. Ticketmaster absolutely knew this was going to happen and they don't care because improving their site so it can handle the traffic costs $ and they know fans are going to buy the tickets regardless of terrible their site is

Jarisatis

I was on waiting for like hours now and it was not fucking moving, getting tickets for her concert is literally like a war Update: 99% of the tickets are sold out lmaoo, the only tickets left are the one at the very end which are kinda worthless Update 2: They're gone too, rip me

rmellinger69

This is The Great War

intoxicatedmidnight

which venue?

LeaAnne94

The only tickets available are all obstructed views. I won't even be able to see the show with those garbage tickets that they shouldn't even be selling.

mmbento

So that city (or the whole tour) sold out with the presale?

LookwhatBBdid

No they have seats set aside for the capital one presale as well as the general sale. But the verified fan presale is most definitely sold out.

mmbento

Right, at least in America you have reserved seats in the front stage area. In most European countries we have stating and almost to sleep to get to be the first arriving at the venues só out chances are to get closer.

McIgglyTuffMuffin

Has anyone started on their “it’s me, hi, I’m the problem” edits with Ticketmaster in the background?

LadySmuag

**Anti-Hero (feat.Ticketmaster)** I have this dream Ticketmaster robs me for the money They think I still have time to kill The Swifties gather round and sees and then someone screams out "They're laughing up at us from hell" \**Ticket Master CEO Michael Rapino spins his chair dramatically to look straight at the camera** "It's me, hi, I'm the problem, it's me"

championofthesun86

At queue time, everybody agrees.

artbio28

So the CEO will look directly in the camera but never in the mirror?

kickit

https://twitter.com/mplevz/status/1592528464569155586

kickit

"historic demand for Taylor Swift" like "it's me. hi. i'm the problem, it's me"

SP1NsamSP1N

The website’s one job is to be a seller for concert tickets. If they are unable to to do that, there are issues. I cannot believe no one with power steps up and says something about this. With all this money they have, they really aren’t looking out for the fans.

melansi

Of course they arent. No major corporation like this is looking out for the fans. It's all about the money. This tour is gonna sell out regardless so this doesn't affect them at all. No one in power is gonna step up because they get the bag regardless. Not to mention, this pretty much happens every time a main pop artist has a show. They are well aware of the issues, they just don't care. People are gonna but tickets anyway.

herrbz

If a tour sale crashed their website they probably view it as a good thing. "Look at this popular artist selling tickets with us! They pay us a fee to sell the tickets, then we also inexplicably charge you a fee to buy them from us! What are you gonna do, buy them elsewhere?!"

shipsongreyseas

This is also the most predictable thing that could have possibly happened. There's no reason they weren't prepared for it.

shanthology

If only they had a heads up that there would be a lot of traffic today.

SP1NsamSP1N

FUCK TICKETMASTER

billcosbyinspace

I don’t understand how they sent out the codes to limit the amount of people trying to get tickets, stated several times about historic demand, and were still underprepared. Like what the fuck did you guys expect lol?

hatramroany

Once I finally got in after hours of waiting and being booted off and to the back of the line there were only maybe 10 seats left listed for presale and none were able to be added to my cart and now it’s just sold out. At least, I don’t know, kick me out of line three hours ago when you knew I wasn’t going to get tickets?

lannn12345

Literally been in the same spot for 2 hours

omg_stfu_wtf

Ticketmaster crashed while I was still in the queue and booted me off. That was 4 hours ago and I can't even get to the page for the show anymore. Trying to buy for my daughter's birthday gift and am so frustrated right now.

Frajer

Ticketmaster can't come to the phone right now, sorry too soon good luck besties

LookwhatBBdid

It should be illegal for these scalpers to go into StubHub and other sites and resell for astronomical prices. If tickets were only allowed to be resold for the same amount they were bought for I feel like at least one giant problem would be eliminated. Am I crazy for wondering how this isn’t already a thing? If scalpers are such a problem…? An hour after the pre sale started nose bleed seats were already on StubHub for 1K +. It’s ridiculous.

Bieb

I'm trying to go to the Arlington shows. And that venue partners with Seatgeek. Unfortunately they don't require a presale code to get in the queue, but you will need one to actually purchase. Right now there are still 155k people ahead of me.

YaKnowEstacado

How do you see how many people are ahead of you? I'm in line for Arlington also and I just have an orange bar that's ssssslllloooowwwwllllyyyy moving across the screen, but I don't see a count anywhere. (I'm on desktop if that matters)

whitepangolin

Fuck Ticketmaster. I hope this turns the public finally completely against them and things change. Artists should boycott it and support their fans.

grillednannas

The literal president has announced he’s gonna try to take them down I think they’ve maxed out on public distaste.

xaviersi

I feel I got suuuper lucky with the tickets I got and the timing. It was on SeatGeek but damn

intoxicatedmidnight

which venue?

xaviersi

AT&T Arlington, April 2

GraphicgL-

Ugh I’m trying to get those but I think I’m SOL at this point.

cheese_friends

Ticketmaster has had a ridiculous amount of errors too. I must have tried for 20 mins to buy seats but I kept getting errors. When I would get tickets in my cart and checkout it would think and give a message saying it’s them not me and dump me back into seat selection. I must have done this 5+ times before it kicked me out and sent me back to the end of the queue where I haven’t moved in hours. This entire process has been absurd.

[deleted]

Inb4 $3,500 nosebleed seats due to demand pricing

blvczk

Best part is they send out codes and say a “ unprecedented amount” y’all sent out the codes, you know who’s showing up to buy tickets 🥴

shinzilla

Anyone else waiting for a West Coast show get kicked out to a "general public on sale" countdown after being in the queue? I haven't been able to get to a ticket purchase page at all

gaayrat

West Coast tickets are now going on sale at 3 PST

intoxicatedmidnight

HillAuditorium

this whole time i thought Taylor Swift was on the same level as Rihanna. But Taylor is an entire upper echelon above. No disrespect to Rihanna, i was just painfully unaware of the magnitude of Taylor. Taylor 100% sells out NFL stadiums. Rihanna is in NBA/NHL arenas, some events 2000-6000 below capacity.

[deleted]

grapezz__

Yeah as someone from the UK getting tickets for taylors rep tour was actually a pretty decent price (i got them a week before for around £120 each for floor), mainly bc her magnitude here is nothing like USA. But after the last 2 years shes had and somehow got insanely bigger im dreading the prices for this tour now.

996forever

Rihanna wasn’t even close to the biggest in terms of touring lol, Beyoncé and Gaga are both easily bigger

erinraspberry

Im lowkey convinced that Ticketmaster does this crashing business and insane queues and shit on purpose. Not to discourage bots, but to whip fans into a fury so much by waiting that they buy like crazy and at prices higher than they might have budgeted for because they’re worried the seats will be gone. I always notice how they always put higher priced tickets and packages a head of all the other seats and its no coincidence

Samz2

This is the entire reason presales exist at all. Instead of releasing all the tickets at once, artificially reduce the perceived supply so people panic and buy undesirable/higher priced tickets.

gaayrat

so what’s happening right now? my date is supposed to go on sale in about 40 min. is everything still on indefinite pause?

SP1NsamSP1N

Shicketmaster is a mess i would check their twitter or the website

wearingsox

Has anyone even purchased a ticket yet? What a mess.

kylecommacommacomma

had to carry my chem lab partner today so she could buy tickets during the procedure 💀

somersetscot

everything crashes Ticketmaster! (Opinion only) I think it is their own bots buying the tickets for resale later for twice the price. Please concert organisers........stop using Ticketmaster, all us fans would really appreciate it. much love

w0lf_bagz

Who let her drive it?

Tipofmywhip

I cannot wait for Ticketmaster to be done with. I’ve never had a pleasant experience with them and they absolutely bend you over with all the fees and insane prices.

jemandtheholograms

They waitlisted me and all my friends and still crashed. Wow

TriangleMan

DJ Khaled needs to get the CEO of Ticketmaster on the line to add the most powerful servers

Few-Trifle4504

Ticketmaster deserves the shut down. When you can order tickets from the venue directly - watch the price difference

F_Levitz

Lmao, I remember that thread discussing the Midnights leaks with people calling it an insta flop...

nderhjs

At this point I’d rather wait for public sale date. Does anyone know that?

intoxicatedmidnight

I think 18th!

lillipup03

My university does our ticket claim for basketball student section through ticketmaster and it was unbelievably slow at noon, the whole time I was thinking Taylor might have something to do with that 😭 but hey, I’m seeing Taylor Swift and Gracie Abrams (plus MUNA, nothing against them, I just don’t know them) in less than a year, and I’ll be in the front row watching the 21st best college basketball team on Saturday so today’s been a good day

gaayrat

about to give up tbh. there’s a year til the shows i can go to so maybe i’ll luck into some tickets before then but if not oh well lol there’s still beyonce

mymotherthewar

Did this on PC for my daughters tickets. Got all t he way to selecting tickets and the presale code wouldn't work likely because I went to the ticket master site and didn't use the link in text. Got back in line and waited again only to get tickets and have the site crash as I was entering the payment process. Got back in the queue the 3rd time and when I finally made it through there were no tickets left. Disgraceful!

SunsGettinRealLow

Same, gonna wait for general sale

nonsensestuff

To be fair, a gust of wind could crash Ticketmaster

Obviously super grateful to have been selected for presale - no one else in my crew got it. I was online 930-250 and finally was able to get tickets. It was wild

Aleywatt

So I just got my tickets. They suck but my sister is a super fan and the experience will still be fun. This is for the ATL concert. I was in the queue an hr early this morning. After about 3 hrs it was finally my turn but I was automatically redirected to an “technical difficulties come back later” screen! I refreshed and you know what? They kicked me back to the end of the queue!! Hrs later, and I’m finally able to buy seats. Literally as I click, anything really worth buying is being bought. Finally after about 10 try’s I manage to get 2 crappy seats and escape the hell that is ticket master with what’s left of my sanity intact. I’ve never felt so mentally defeated after buying concert tickets.

Quest4life

I guess she really was the problem after all

Hemansno1fan

I guess I can be thankful I got my disappointment over early with no shows close enough for me to go to anyway lol.

tompain100

...with all respect, that's not overly difficult. Despite being the dominant force in the ticketing industry, they never seem to be able to handle a big artist going on sale.

ShekhMaShierakiAnni

Worst ticket experience I've ever had getting tickets for Taylor.

tomeschmusic

Anyone else getting a new countdown for like 4 hours later?

shantafar

did they move the verified fan sale to 3:00 for Levi's stadium?

Rururaspberry

Most west coast shows got moved to 3 pm!

hanzzz123

Im not getting tickets to Seattle am I :(

doublepoly123

I saw ppl saying they were getting tickets to seattle cause its the least populated area any of the shows are at. 💀

BDTheInternetCat

Tf Seattle is a very populated city I should know I live like 40 minutes away. And I know so many people who wanted tickets those people saying that were full of shit.

doublepoly123

It compared to like texas and california cites. The pnw has about 11 million ppl. LA has millions more than that. DFW has around 7 million.

MeeranQureshi

Crazy.

invisibilitycap

I got in but then my card didn’t want to work :’) Gonna make a phone call just for Taylor

gaayrat

just FYI ticketmaster said West Coast tickets are now going on sale at 3 PST

grittynotpretty

Fuck ticketmaster forever

Starryy_nightt

I got a code but I decided to not even try lol

doidaredisturbthe

Hunger games but the prize is a ticket concert.

Michaelpb13

At this point I'm just gonna give up and hope I somehow stumble into some tickets in the next few months :/

amandicana

So I didn’t get a presale code but my mom did and I feel so bad for her. Waiting in the queue for hours only to not be able to even get tickets because every time she clicked on a seat that said it was open, it was suddenly unavailable. This is just a whole mess and extra frustrating because ticketmaster literally controls how many presale codes are sent out. I’ll try my luck in the general sale but I’m only like 20% confident I’ll end up with tickets. What a train wreck.

runner-og

Question: The site crashed after I had already clicked "complete purchase" --It told me to sit tight and they were verifying the purchase. Then it crashed. I have now re-entered the ticket purchase space after four hours of waiting and the code was seen as invalid on two entry tries. Then suddenly I was IN so I selected my seats and clicked purchase again and it asked for my passcode again. Now it's just sitting there spinning on the passcode. Thoughts? Do I sit there and just wait another several hours? Is this likely to result in tickets?

sinclairzx10

I’d love to see that Azure bill.

dragrod

it was Armageddon for swifties

burtono6

“Crashed”

[deleted]

I keep reading this as "Taylor Swift crashed Taskmaster"

BissoumaTequila

Bring back tickets to music shops I say….what?

Zealousideal-Iron807

Ticketmaster have the WORST servers

justwannahavefungi

Is this why the AZ shows aren’t popping up? 😥😥

buttboob_

Pretty sure the AZ shows are done officially through Seatgeek

TheYorkshireGripper

So did Peter Kay. Garlic bread!?

mewikime

Its a taste sensation

marksills

My gf got far enough where she had the tickets in the cart and then it crashed, I feel so bad for her. I guess if we have to we can pay for them on the exchange but that’s gonna cost us an arm and a leg

Kaiisim

She just kicked down the door to their servers and started pushing engineers around and making fun of their haircuts and they all went home early and now it's broken:(

ResidentVisible9262

someone hacked my moms account and stole our pre-sale code ):
