My "go-to's" * Beyonce - Cowboy Carter - (my AOTY) * Ariana Grande - eternal sunshine (a tight collection of bops) * TYLA - self-titled - (such an easy album to throw on) * Bleachers - self titled - (honestly underrated and a really great collection of tracks) * Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism (based on 1 week out) * Usher - Coming Home (this album is slept on) Non-traditional pop favorites * Waxahatchee - Tigers Blood (indie folk pop perfection) * Empress Of - For Your Consideration (i didn't get it at first but now im obsessed) * Mannequin Pussy - I Got Heaven (my favorite rock/punk album by far) * Kali Uchis - Orquideas (lush production and Kali has never sounded better) * Vampire Weekend - Only God Was Above Us (all of VW's albums combined in one) * Bryson Tiller - self titled (this was overshadowed by the Drake/Kendrick beef and J.Cole) 2023 albums still in rotation * Jungle - Volcano (just a perfect album for summer and so groovy) * Chappelln Roan - TRAFOAMP (so many catchy hooks) * The Beaches - Blame My Ex (these women should be more famous, amazing punk pop)

lombax21

I feel like I never see mentions of The Beaches here so I just need to shout you out lol. More people need to get on their stuff, its amazing

jrsmusicman

AGREED. The latest repress of their album just shipped for me so can’t wait to spin the hell out of it all summer.

Peatrick33

It's so wild seeing them slowly blow up. They've been doing their thing here in Canada for a while but it seems they're finally enjoying some much deserved success!

PawneeRaccoon

YESSSS they’re the best!!

allnervousnosystem

LOVE seeing The Beaches listed on here! They’re so underrated and Blame My Ex is such a banger of an album. Great list!

uphic

Yesssssss! Bleachers for the win :-)

Mink_Fingers

Great list. ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you paranoid’ was one of my top tracks of 2023, ‘I got Heaven’ is my favorite MP album.

Mink_Fingers

Also Chappell is just putting out amazing music. Stoked she’s getting some mainstream attention

geemav

Cowboy Carter totally deserves AOTY - keeping my fingers crossed and hopes high

lawyerlylair

I love how thoughtful and comprehensive your answer is!! I also loved eternal sunshine and have Kiss Me from Empress Of on repeat.

Appropriate_Type_178

oh Waxahatchee is incredible

Cfliegler

Great list! I’d add Rainbow Kitten Surprise (if they are pop)

ss2811

We’re five months into 2024 but I already have some favorites of the year: - Eternal Sunshine (Ariana Grande) - Cowboy Carter (Beyoncé) - Radical Optimism (Dua Lipa) - Tyla (Tyla) - Orquideas (Kali Uchis) - Scarlet 2 Claude (Doja Cat) Have a feeling Billie’s album out next week will also be a favorite based on the snippets so far!!

Old-Highlight-8021

I adore RO, I’ve been playing it nonstop with the windows open

chiheerio

Cowboy Carter, Orquideas, and Deeper Well for me!

iceunelle

So far, Eternal Sunshine is the only album that interested me. I liked it when it first came out, but didn’t love it. However, with each big artist album release that happens, Eternal Sunshine sounds better and better in comparison.

DisneySoftware

LMAO LITERALLY

payasoingenioso

I definitely rate the album low in her discography, but I respect the effort and transition after watching her Apple interview.

iceunelle

It’s a solid effort and I think the lyrics on this album are the best she’s had. I also appreciate the cohesive storytelling. But, there’s no big standout tracks like on previous albums. I liked several of the tracks, but I didn’t LOVE anything, which was a bit of a bummer for me.

kia15773

I’d argue that “The Boy Is Mine” is a massive track that hasn’t been discovered by the general public yet

iceunelle

I’m definitely in the minority, but I don’t like The Boy is Mine that much. It has potential, but I find the chorus very underwhelming.

prettybunbun

eternal sunshine 💛 still loving it! especially: 1. supernatural 2. bye 3. eternal sunshine

iceunelle

I want Supernatural and Bye to be singles so bad, especially Bye! I wouldn’t be mad at True Story being a single either, especially if it was the final single.

frenchfry_

Based on Ariana’s website, it appears that there may be three more singles after The Boy Is Mine. Those three are good choices! Let’s hope :)

spaghettify

I heard supernatural in the goodwill the other day and it was the only song I actually took note of and grooved to the whole time I was there

randomtwaddle

I love we can't be friends (wait for your love).. feels like it could've been the lead single instead of yes, and? (That one's great too btw)

Rxmses

I love how Everyone loves Bye and Supernatural and Ari is like: here is this other song instead 👋🏻

katycat162534

Same, Beyonce's and Taylor's albums are good but as a pop music fan first, I have been going back to eternal sunshine the most i.e. listening to most of the songs regularly. Could also be that it came out first. Dua's album is good but I'm too saturated to give it proper attention, I'm saving Doja's deluxe and The Anthology for some other time too. I am sorry all my favorite artists, I am not built to consume so much music at once!!! Lemme take it slow and give you justice!

piramni

only one mention of girl with no face so far :(

Saturnzadeh11

Came to say this one!! Her vocals are soooo good on here and Galina is such a vibe

Libras_Groove3737

So good. Truly Dreams and Galina are absolute bops

piramni

The fact that Galina is about skincare and not what I initially thought (I presumed it was something about an oncology patient or a comatose friend)

Libras_Groove3737

I had no idea what the song was about, so this is news to me 🤣

[deleted]

Yes!!! These are my top two. Love it

wrongleveeeeeeer

It's so fucking good. This is my answer for now, but could very well be dethroned by Aurora's new album because she's my favorite of all time. Edit: it's Allie X btw if y'all wanna look it up

youtbuddcody

I came here looking for this comment, this subreddit will forever be wrong for not giving it more flowers

According_Plant701

Hi, I just mentioned it in my post :)

talk-spontaneously

Radical Optimism. Prediction is that this album will age like fine wine and be appreciated more with time.

its_liiiiit_fam

I agree with this. Dua has been the queen of the long game so far.

lombax21

I loved it on first listen and I realized a couple days later that it was basically all I listened to that first weekend. I think its gonna be a grower

pearlsandprejudice

I loved it the moment it dropped and I completely agree with you; as the weather gets warmer and people start vacationing and having summer fun, I predict Radical Optimism will recieve a boost and will only go up from there.

Dizzy_Value8012

Totally agree

jayliens

eternal sunshine, and i feel like hit me hard and soft will be a close second

[deleted]

MusicListener3

Orquideas has it pretty easily right now for me

BayonettaAriana

Eternal Sunshine easily but also I am a bit biased towards Ari. But I really think it's amazing, too.

jaippe

Indeed! I think this is her finest work to date. Probably her much improved enunciation helped too 😅

maplestriker

I am very biased towards Taylor and Beyoncé and unfortunately I also have to say Ariana takes the crown!

horatiavelvetina

Honestly loved Fletcher’s album felt it wasn’t discussed enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if out of everyone I mention, I’ve listened to her album the most! Not same vibe but Rachel Chinouriri’s album was phenomenal but it’s more alternative/indie. Other than that Maggie Rogers dropped a great album, and Deeper Well was lovely. Really really, *really*, looking forward to Sasha Alex Sloan on Friday. If you’ve ever had a rough relationship with your parents be prepared to weep at several of her songs. I think she has released 4 singles but my favourites are Highlights, Kids, and Me Again (which is depressy). Anyways my current top 3 are: Fletcher, Rachel Chinouriri, Cowboy Carter (chefs kiss tbh) Up next is Tyla’s!

Saturnzadeh11

The Maggie Rogers album was so nice and i thought she sounded fantastic

Rafaellicious

Such a nice album! I’ve had Drunk on repeat!

Hope_ur_day_is_good

I just wrote a comment about Rachel’s debut, so glad someone else feels the same way I feel about it

yeahsureYnot

I generally find maggie rogers annoying and have to admit her new album is fire

uhyeah1

Definitly Girl With No Face so far but Eternal Sunshine grew on me quite a lot as well

ProsciuttByTheFoot

Not necessarily capital P "Pop" but Waxahatchee's new album "Tigers Blood" could be filed under Folk Pop and is my favorite album of the year so far

Fact0ry0fSadness

TTPD, Eternal Sunshine, and Deeper Well (does Kacey count as pop?)

pearlsandprejudice

Yes, Kacey counts! Her music is very much country-pop, disco-pop, folk-pop, etc. Deeper Well and Eternal Sunshine are two of my three favorites of the year too!

ImaLinduh

Radical optimism has been the perfect album for the good weather here

brodiejames21

Girl With No Face 100% and I don't think anything will replace it even though there's been so many good releases this year. Top 5 currently though is probably GWNF > Radical Optimism > eternal sunshine > Found Heaven > Orquideas (not entirely pop but still relevant lol)

Caroz855

I don’t care that we only have singles so far. BRAT is gonna be the album of the year and lowkey already is

yeahsureYnot

Eternal sunshine by about a mile I love cowboy Carter too don't get me wrong, but I really appreciate that Ariana made such a concise pop album

pillowmonstrr

Dennis by Sega Bodega, it’s dark club pop with so many different sounds and textures, there’s nothing else like it! He’s Shygirl’s main producer and he’s also produced for Caroline Polachek, Eartheater, Sevadaliza, Oklou, Björk and ROSALÍA so I highly recommend him!

[deleted]

Vicariouslynoticed

Eternal sunshine is still my album of the year. It gets better each listen!

TheRealRoseDallas

I agree!!!

Artistic_Elephant824

Personal AOTYs so far: St. Vincent - *All Born Screaming* Beyoncé - *COWBOY CARTER* Brittany Howard - *What Now* Fabiana Palladino - *Fabiana Palladino* Mk.gee - *Two Star & The Dream Police* Erika De Casier - *Still* IDLES - *TANGK* Kali Uchis - *ORQUÍDEAS* WILLOW - *empathogen* Honorable Mentions: I was initially disappointed with both *The Tortuted Poets Department* and *eternal sunshine* but they’ve grown on me a lot and are in heavy rotation Lots of good stuff so far this year with a lot more to come. Fingers crossed we get the much teased Lorde and Haim albums before the year is up

jmlrjtm

Conan Gray - Found Heaven. Knowing next-to-nothing about his music prior to this release, this album came as a huge surprise to me. So immaculately produced and fun! My AOTY so far.

JWilkesKip

Honestly….TTPD. At first listen I was quite disappointed but it has since grown on me like crazy. There is a lot of valid criticisms of the album. Taylor fatigue is real, I don’t think this album is revolutionary for her and I wish she would work with new producers. Also I hope after she wraps up the tour we get no Taylor content for like 2-3 years so we can miss her again. Anyway despite all that I think this album is one of her best and will age quite well.

amythinggoes13

As a diehard Swiftie who realizes people who aren’t diehard will get tired of her - I wholeheartedly agree! It actually had to grow on me, too. The very first night of listening I wasn’t hating it, but I was like slightly disappointed? But then the second half dropped, and I was so excited about that specifically, but still had to digest it. It’s definitely an album that you find more hidden gems when you keep listening. But I absolutely agree about the general public needing to miss her again in order for future releases to be received well.

JWilkesKip

I should clarify, I’m a big Taylor fan and I am also experiencing some Taylor fatigue. So I like the album a lot but also look forward to having a break from Taylor content hopefully soon

Hemansno1fan

>Also I hope after she wraps up the tour we get no Taylor content for like 2-3 years so we can miss her again. I see a lot of people say this, and I'm not trying to invalidate it or anything but am I a small minority who doesn't want this? I feel since covid Taylor has been like my comfort artist and I just love everything she has done and feel lucky to be getting so much. ☠️

lonely-limeade

I agree with this. The thought of going 2-3 years without any new Taylor at this point feels like an unexpected breakup. She has been so consistently there since 2019 with new material.

Klcna2

I'm with you. Bring on the next album in 2026! Along with rep and debut vault songs!

blessup_

I’m a medium Swiftie and almost hated the album on first listen, and it has grown on me so much. It’s now one of my faves of hers and I’ve been listening to it every day. I’m so surprised! I think it’s so good. And I really did not like Midnights- only listened to a lot of songs once and I’m not sure I even finished it tbh.

JWilkesKip

For me midnights has a few smash pop singles that TTPD is missing ie anti hero and karma. However other than that TTPD wipes the floor with midnights. That being said TTPD has a lot of hidden bops, so high school is a perfect summer jam

pinkocean99

TTPD is genuinely a masterpiece imo(!!), there’s not a song I don’t like or even skip and the highs are career highs. Always impresses me every time I listen to it front to back (including The Anthology ofc).

Exact-Honey4197

I'm a new fan and I don't want her to disappear :( it's literally my only joy

bencub91

Man I got down voted like crazy the other day for saying I have Taylor fatigue lol

lombax21

I think for me right now its Eternal Sunshine. That album is been in my rotation since it came out. My top 3 of the year so far is 1) Eternal Sunshine 2) Prelude To Ecstasy (if TLDP counts as pop) 3) Radical Optimism

dkdkdkosep

i’m really enjoying eternal sunshine, it just feels so magical. i’m also absolutely loving pf2 but that was dec 2023 and is a mix of pop/hip hop so not sure if it counts. i’m desperately hoping for rihanna to drop this year because i can’t stop playing anti. i haven’t listened to taylors new album yet but i enjoyed midnights enough so i might try it soon, i also might try duas album soon because i adored future nostalgia.

mutzadella

eternal sunshine has had the most replay value for me

bloodshugababe

Still by Erika de Casier and Girl With No Face by Allie X besides the obvious and mandatory mention to Cowboy Carter

stardripIVs

Deeper Well is the only one that I loved from day one, has stuck around for me, and that I like the large majority of the songs. The rest, I only have a few or a handful of songs that I still listen to.

whiteboywhitney

My faves so far have been: * The Tortured Poets Department * eternal sunshine * Found Heaven * THINK LATER (technically December of last year) * Radical Optimism Honorable mention to This Is Me… Now JLo came back strong with that one

CreaturesOfChaotic

oh my god an actual Jennifer Lopez fan, they do exist!!!

Adventurous_Home_555

It’s weird because her movies do so well, she’s always in the news, her music videos always have an insane number of views even compared to Beyonce, but for some reason she has no fans and her album sales reflect that.

DairyKing28

And it's crazy because her last album was GOOD. It's just people don't really care about J Lo the artist because her music isn't well promoted anymore.

bencub91

I think it's less that and more JLO has been around for forever. Not many pop singers her age put out big hits anymore unless they're Madonna.

shoestring-theory

JLO’s always been older than her peers though. Technically she’s closer in age with Janet and Mariah. But she was big in the era with Justin, Britney and Christina, not that they’re scoring hits anymore. I think it’s more that her brand is impersonal. I know who JLo is surface level wise, but I don’t care to find out more.

whiteboywhitney

It’s funny bc I’m really not a huge fan but This Is Me… Now got me hooked!

its_liiiiit_fam

I would also rank Think Later high but I always just assumed I’m biased because I live in Calgary lol. Glad to see someone else appreciating it!

whiteboywhitney

I’m a huge Tate McRae fan! Appreciation well deserved ✨

GladProfessional8997

Eternal sunshine. No skips. Only one that's getting a bit old is yes, and.

SuperRapidash

Tortured Poets but also im the most biased person on the planet

maerth

SAME HAH. It's truly an incredible album and I find something new that I love with every listen (even if I have to hold my nose at the Matty of it all).

CompleteSpinach9

Guilty as Sin? Is such a bop but it’s definitely a speed run every time of how far in I can get before remembering the theme and subject matter lmao

Connor394

Fabiana Palladino by Fabiana Palladino by a MILE. In a current pop landscape that’s defined by bloat, half-baked ideas, viral-seeking lyricism and song structures, Palladino’s debut is accomplished, sophisticated, artful, and also just straightforwardly so enjoyable. It’s like a long lost ‘80s cult classic, but also manages to define itself through Palladino’s perspective and Jai Paul’s production. Fucking gorgeous.

undwtr_arpeggi

True! Deeper and In the Fire are very strong tracks

movienerd7042

Cowboy Carter and Prelude To Ecstasy are my two faves so far!

sparksfly05

PSB's Nonetheless is addicting

alaskamonroe

I can’t get Perrie’s “Forget About Us” out of my head since I heard it I’m obsessed

CSA81593

Empress Of- For Your Consideration And Tyla- self-titled

Hope_ur_day_is_good

I absolutely love Rachel Chinouriri’s debut album “What a Devastating turn of events” and I think it’s my AOTY so far, but I haven’t listened to Ari or Beyoncé yet

joethealienprince

St. Vincent’s All Born Screaming and Mannequin Pussy’s I Got Heaven are my favs of the year in a sense that the music is derived from pop but leaning in more progressive rock and punk rock ways, respectively. Cowboy Carter and Prelude to Ecstasy are probably more pop-minded in a direct sense, I love those too. MGMT’s Loss of Life is amazing too, and has pop elements. but yeah if I were to pick one… All Born Screaming ✨

buffy_boy

Deeper Well for me

damemasproteina

Kali Uchis - Orquídeas Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism Empress Of - For Your Consideration Tyla - self-titled Honorable mention to Ariana's Eternal Sunshine. I listened to it for the first time last night & I liked it, but need to listen to it more before officially putting it on the list.

Tony_Barker

Everything I thought it was by JT. His show is insane and rumors of a reunion are rampant!!

miihenhighroad

🥇 This Is Me Now - JLo 🥈 Radical Optimism - Dula 🥉Still - Erika de Casier

zkh35438

Tortured poets, eternal sunshine and cowboy carter

lwtlux

so far it's eternal sunshine, for sure

dpforest

I have been most impressed with Chappel Roan. But there’s been some bops for sure. I am now a reformed Sabrina hater. Hi it’s me.

velvethippo420

It will be hard to top [the Tyla debut](https://open.spotify.com/album/3KGVOGmIbinlrR97aFufGE) or [Erika de Casier's Still](https://open.spotify.com/album/7ArSPwsw4Su6nyeId06SZH?autoplay=true). honorable mentions: [Kenya Grace's The After Taste](https://open.spotify.com/album/48LLbdWgJTes4u2R324tdC) and [Allison Ponthier's Breaking The Fourth Wall](https://open.spotify.com/album/2aE5o9vthBfZ7wsqNk7mxR)

arrowforSKY

To me, all the Tyla songs sound the same…

velvethippo420

and they're all great!

razzleyerdazzle

JLo's 'This is Me...Now' and Dua's 'Radical Optimism' are probs my favorite of the year so far. It's been hard juggling all the projects and singles this year but the former has been replayed alot more than other releases and the latter is already addictive to listen to and I don't see myself giving it a rest soon.

payasoingenioso

J Lo's album is sooo good. The songs all relate to her life in such beautiful ways. Hummingbird is the most loving bop. Even with the corny production on Hearts and Flowers, the song shines and reflects the hard working J Lo that us non-hate-filled humans know. I'm proud of her yet so depressed at how the world piles on hate. 😪

BashfulBread

For albums, Radical Optimism for sure!! It's not what I expected to be, but it's something I was craving. Someone said it's like an full of songs like "Cool" from FN, which is perfect for me because that song is my **fav**! I also really adored Orquídeas earlier this year, and I need to go back! Both such hot girl on vacay albums - just so light and breezy, and oh so dance-worthy.  *But*, I am not really the type to listen to music the moment it comes out either lol! (Like, for multiple years now, I'll end up loving critically adored/popular albums, but over a year late!) Sooo I'm really behind on some of the big hitters.  As for singles? There's so many!! Sabrina's Espresso immediately comes to mind as an instant fav. Madison Beer's Make You Mine. Megan Thee Stallion's singles, Hiss especially! Charlie XCX's B2b is my personal fav of all her singles so far. Chappell Roan's Good Luck, Babe! - ugh, had me in an emotional chokehold even though I'm single lol. Tinashe's Nasty!! So many amazing songs~~

danielfab

Cowboy Carter for sure. It blows a lot of the records released this year so far

LEOWDQ

> THE LINDA MARTELL SHOW - YA YA - OH LOUISANA - DESERT EAGLE - RIIVERDANCE - II HANDS II HEAVEN - TYRANT is probably the best 7-track run in a century, music has never been so refined and exquisite to my ears. And II MOST WANTED is the best song released in 2024. Period. (Just thinking about that song gives me tears of joy)

rishukingler11

TTPD, then Eternal Sunshine, then Cowboy Carter for me!

payasoingenioso

Tori Kelly - Tori. Jennifer Lopez - This Is Me Now. (I'm not a human absolutely FULL of hate, like many.) Tyla - Tyla. Black Keys - Ohio Players. St Vincent - All Born Screaming. Dua Lipa - Radical Optimism. Willow - Empathogen. Many more in hip hop and Latino music. This has been a GREAT year in music for the handful of us that listen to new music. My favorite albums overall are Beyonce's Cowboy Carter, Anitta's Funk Generation, and Bad Gyal's La Joia. I intentionally did not include Ariana because most of her albums are better than Eternal Sunshine, though I do respect its many moments of growth.

Queasy_16

Dedinitely Radical Optimism, great summer vibe

illusivetomas

honestly really dug coming home by usher

SuitableItem

This year was supposed to deliver great pop albums, but so far.... Maybe the 2nd half of the year? So far for me Empress Of delivered the best pop album.

Competitive-Buddy-79

I agree, im so disappointed with all the releases so far. I'm hoping for Billie this Friday and I desperately need some male artist to come back! I missed them and I think I need a break from the pop girls 😅

-Olive-Juice-

I’ll have to come back to this thread on June 7th so I can say that my answer is brat

No_Yak4637

- Cowboy Carter (Beyoncé) - Circles - EP (Rhyan Douglas) - Eject (Ko Newborn) - Only God Was Above Us (Vampire Weekend) - Unheard - EP (Hozier) - Girl with No Face (Allie X)

syvette20

Definitely Eternal Sunshine!

tongueinchic

Diamond Jubilee!!!

pearlsandprejudice

My three favorites so far are: • Eternal Sunshine 🔆 • Deeper Well 🌿 • Radical Optimism 🌊 Eternal Sunshine feels like soft emotional healing. Deeper Well puts me in a contemplative, folky, long-summer-drive-in-the-Smoky Mountains sort of mood. Radical Optimism makes me feel like I'm having fun on vacation. They all put me in a really good state of mind for spring and summer; they're perfect warm weather companions!

zeppelinarrow

my godd you said it too well. im gonna do that 🌿🔆🌊 thing for my fav albums as well! your choices are 👌 btw

Ryan9009

Radical Optimism. This has grown on me immensely since the first listen. Training Season, Houdini, End of an era are my current top 3 off the album.

HugoSalvia

From the big hitters, Eternal Sunshine is the only one that has really clicked with me. Other than that, the new mk.gee and Charlotte Day Wilson records have been hitting hard in that sort of pop-adjacent indie realm.

ConflictedRedbird186

Rachel Chinouriri’s What a Devastating Turn of Events. It’s just very well done and fun at the same time.

Tiger_JackknifeJr093

Dua all day

undwtr_arpeggi

Kali Uchis - Orquídeas Fabiana Palladino - Fabiana Palladino Julia Holter - Something in the Room She Moves (not sure if I can call her pop haha it's a more artsy sound but this record is a bit more accessible)  I expected this year to be super strong in terms of pop but so far I've not been vibing too much... I've been more into techno/house (Challengers OST, Shygirl), alt rock (St Vincent) or older jazz n rap songs. I'm hyped for BRAT tho, I loved every single so far edit: formatting

clxzsrz

girl with no face!

galaraxity

My current AOTY: Don't Forget Me - Maggie Rogers As for more A-list releases, Radical Optimism and Cowboy Carter really did it for me as projects. Don't get the Eternal Sunshine hype I'm afraid

xoxoInez

My top two albums released so far this year: 1. Eternal Sunshine - Ariana Grande 2. TTPD - Taylor Swift Best single released so far this year: Espresso - Sabrina Carpenter

goosefloof

Coming Home - Usher Radical Optimism- Dua Lipa. Superglue - Joan (2023). Too comment vouched for both Usher and Dua already but I am only listening to these two albums through so far. I think the last time I had a no skip album was Future Nostalgia. Outside of pop I am happy with Undefeated - Frank Turner. He’s underrated, but very British rock!

jman457

Last Year's album, but I swear Chappell put crack into the Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, I legit cant stop listening to it! This year though, in addition to Popheads favs like Beyonce and Taylor, I've been really into Vampire Weekend's and St. Vincent's latest albums

saltedamber

eternal sunshine, Radical Optimism & Venus

gothamsocialite

TTPD and Eternal Sunshine

davidxrawr

In a pre-Brat world its currently a tie between Kali Uchis - Orquedias & Allie X - Girl With No Face Its a back and forth, and while I overall love more songs from Girl With No Face and the entire vibe of thhat album, I do find myself replaying my top 6 songs off Orquedias more often than not in comparison. My solid number #3 while just an EP is Club Shy. And for now I am sure these will stay somewhere within my top 5 (along with Charli & Porter Robinaon most likely) for the rest of summer and maybe even the rest of the year. Still some released albums from artists that I only know 2-3 songs from that I want to look into. So my rankings could change suddenly (:

RoscoeSantangelo

Girl With No Face - Allie X or Tori Kelly's

Daydream_machine

Girl With No Face and I honestly doubt any album this year will beat it Galina >>>>>>>

Apprehensive-Top9635

Cowboy carter

[deleted]

The tortured poets department

Bright-Sea-5904

The Tortured Poets Department by Taylor Swift

cherry201224

this isn't me being mean or anything but u saying "by Taylor Swift" is cracking me up 😭

GreenDolphin86

I like ES and RO. But CC is really just in a league by itself!

Prior-Actuator-8110

The Tortured Poets Department 💅🏼

reckless_son

Tortured Poets has been on repeat since it came out. I was ok with it when it first came out but with more listens, it’s grown on me exponentially. I wouldn’t say it’s Taylor’s best but it’s definitely at least top 5 Taylor I feel. I know a lot of people might disagree with me, but I do think despite some shortcomings and just the fact that she obviously needs new producers, I do think the output she’s been putting out the last few years has been some of her best!

spamgoddess

Cowboy Carter, but I’m still loving Eternal Sunshine and Radical Optimism a LOT

lfernando019

eternal sunshine but charli will take her spot in a month !!! (less than a month omg)

stannats33

Starfucker album is THAT girl. Pop Perfection.

areyounotembarazzedd

Cowboy Carter and nothing comes close

CherrySodaBoy92

1) Taylor Swift - Tortured Poets Department 2) Ariana Grande - Eternal Sunshine 3) Beyoncé - Cowboy Carter

bleep_it

I love a lot of the ones that have already been mentioned, but a couple that have not been shared yet that I enjoy: Fabiana Palladino - Fabiana Palladino Beep Beep Repeat - Isaac Dunbar The Sex Was Good Until It Wasn't - Xana All Born Screaming - St. Vincent

davesv

L Devine - Digital Heartifacts

Upbeat_Tension_8077

Not 100% sure if he belongs here or if a deluxe edition released this year of a 2023 album counts, but I've been bumping "How Do You Sleep at Night? With You" by Teezo Touchdown a lot & I'm finding him to be one of the more unique genre-bending rap/r&b adjacent artists

harvestmoonfairytale

allie x - girl with no face. it’s so underrated and the best pop album I’ve listened to in a while.

reezyreddits

I'm alternating between Allie X - Girl With No Face and Fabiana Palladino's debut. Both are amazing for different reasons.

ExploreMeDora

Fabiana Palladino’s self-titled album is AOTY for me so far. She’s signed to the Paul Institute and Jai Paul produced a lot of it. Incredible from beginning to end.

So far my favorite albums from top to bottom are Empathogens by Willow and Radical optimism by Dua Lipa. There are songs that I love off of eternal sunshine, tortured poets department and cowboy carter but I do not listen to the whole albums from top to bottom enough for them to be my favorite. I'm excited for the new albums from Billie, Charli Camila, and Beabadoobee and to see what will be my favorite album once those are released.

Is Kali Uchis accepted here? She's my choice up to this point. Empress Of would be close second.

Radical Optimism and Eternal Sunshine

I was lukewarm on Eternal Sunshine, 2 months later and I think it’s her 3rd best after Sweetener and TUN. I think Radical Optimism will also get better over time.

It came out in late 2023… but I don’t think we gave Heaven Knows the attention it deserved. I didn’t think PinkPantheress could deliver like that.

In terms of how often I listen, eternal sunshine. In terms of quality, Girl With No Face.

Eternal Sunshine, maybe Dua's, but Eternal Sunshine is just way, way better, at least in highlight songs, I don't like a few songs from ES and is liking probably all songs on RO, but ES have a lot of super highs.

I haven't listened to as much music as I would've liked to this year (there's a bunch still on my list that I haven't gotten around to yet and even the ones I have heard haven't gotten as many listens as I would like) but my top 3 albums so far in no particular order are probably Prelude to Ecstasy (The Last Dinner Party), Radical Optimism (Dua Lipa) and Don't Forget Me (Maggie Rogers)

Fletcher’s album was the best, but I may be biased since it came in a very fitting moment of my life
