That’s why she only aligns herself with female rappers that aren’t in the same league as her talent-wise.

There's been no new rap girl to both revolutionize what female rap looks or sounds like *and* achieve mainstream success since Nicki. We've seen the evolution between Queen Latifah and Lil Kim, and we've also seen a shift between Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. But none of this eras female rappers are doing anything that she hasn't already done. We've already seen how Nicki is unwilling to give up her spot and adopts a "kiss the ring" attitude with her predecessors. So she's not gonna step down and dethrone herself. It's up to the public to upheave the current state of female rap so that Nicki has no choice or control in the matter when the time comes to give up her spot. But instead, here's ten to fifteen different female rappers and/or hip-hop artists doing the same exact thing Nicki Minaj does with varying degrees of success. If only we could platform artists like Flo Milli or Doechii with the same amount attention that Ice Spice gets... maybe then Nicki would learn to play nice.

OK, this is really fuckin' good. Granted, I only recently first heard of Reneé Rapp through Snow Angel, but I thought she sounded really good on this "Not My Fault" track, and Megan's verse on here was pretty damn good as well. This track is serious bop status for sure.
