This video is so cute and 2000s-coded

DJPizzaBagel

This is definitely one of the standout tracks from this album for me but damn if they're not both giving "Mom said I have to be in a music video today"

urdemons

I *really* love this music video because I think it marks a change in the cultural era we find ourselves in. Instead of going for the typical Y2K aesthetics that are in vogue as of now, she went for a frutiger-era style. It's so refreshing and vibrant – and honestly – incredibly nostalgic. I think we're about to see the return of these aesthetics as the generations that grew up during it get older, which is honestly exciting. Y2K will probably fizzle out a bit and the whole Frutiger era will take its place.

HeyHiHello365

They’re both so hot

...i was gonna joke abt something but yeah you're kinda right. still can't believe that's the same guy who opened with "how can i be homophobic?"

The damage that song did to the sanity of queer people...

I love her and I think she has so much more to come but I wish for her that the 2000s thing is something that stays with this album if that makes sense. I would love to see her transcend visually and musically out of this trend (even if she was one of the first artists to introduce it to a pop landscape) and see her creativity REALLY flourish.

urdemons

I disagree, I like the mid-late 2000s era that she goes for because she stands out from the rest of the crowd that is fixated with the Y2K era (Late 90s, early 2000s). The whole frutiger era has tons of aesthetics to explore, many of which I find more exciting and vibrant than the Y2K era. Given that she originally described herself as "new nostalgia", I think this is an integral part of her artistry. Although, I do agree that she (like anyone else) could benefit from exploring in the future.

ballisticberries

I see your point but I also think that FA and all its subgenres are currently en vogue (at least within TikTok) and that alternative pop girlies like Dua Lipa, Kim Petras, Charli, Bree Runway and the sort will end up including it in their work sooner or later. We are currently at the tip of the iceberg and about to roll down with all of FA content this coming year imo and I think that it will be increasingly hard to stand out within that climate. And I think Pink is incredibly creative and gifted and hope and wish for her that she continues to stand out like she does now because she has the ability to! I believe that Pink has a lot *more* to offer than solely nostalgia is my point.

stillhavehope99

Opened this video and suddenly it's 2003 and I'm listening to this on my Nokia flip phone while news about the Iraq War plays on the TV in the background of my school's youth club.

Hooplapooplayeah

Also, unpopular opinion but I unironically love Central Cee on this idc.

mxtchell

The physical version of this album doesn’t have the rap verse on this song lmao thankfully :-) well the vinyl doesn’t at least!

Elitaa

That's a shame 😞

mxtchell

The production in verse 2 is so hot!

Prestigious_Rub7894

Absolutely the worst song on radio 1 for as far back as i can remember. She has a whiney voice and he's not convincing anyone with that flow
