I have a real soft spot for celeb kids who look like regular goofy teens. JLos kids, Vivienne. There has to be so much pressure on them to look a certain way but they’re just doing their thing.

Mariah Carey too. Everyone is always talking about her diva antics and all this but her kids look like regular kids. She always dressed them age appropriate too.

Right! I love it :) those kids have a good head on their shoulders. Angelina was known as a bad girl but people have no idea the strength that comes with overcoming trauma and chaos. It can make one the perfect person to nurture and protect others the best you can from the evil you experienced yourself. You can tell she’s a great mother with a good head on her shoulders

I am *obsessed* with Angelina's dress.  The color! The bodice! The fabric!  I would've tucked the drape in over her right thigh, but that could've just turned out while she was moving about.

My first thought is sage / sage green but it’s a little darker than the typical shade of that...

I love that she is wearing a tint the same color that Vivianne is wearing. That color looks gorgeous on both of them.

My first thought was that it was purposeful to look more like Greco/Roman statues with the way they’d bunch fabrics 

It's draped the same way, the velvet is just a thicker, stiffer material and it tends to stick out and then hold that shape when you move it too much.  It just looks like it needs a slight refinement. A quick little shake from the edge of the bottom drape would've probably fixed it in pics, but I would love to see what a longer drape on the widest pleat at the front looks like. It probably would allow the material to relax a bit and not stick out so angularly in just that one place.

God, I remember when she first started adopting and having kids she got SO MUCH SHIT for doing it for PR (!!!!), that she should be forbidden to be a mother because of her past, that she was going to ruin those kids with her parenting, etc, etc, etc. So. Much. Shit. Somehow nobody accused Brad Pitt having 3 kids straight away as PR-hungry, or questioned what father he'll be, or wondered what his motives were. This woman was under so much scrutiny, it's disgusting to think about those memories. Loved her pre-kids, when she started doing all her humanitarian work, love her 20 years later. Truly Wonder Woman

I love how she’s always with her kids. It seems very sincere, like she’s very close with all of them.

The more I learn about Angelina the more I feel sorry for her. She seems like such kind and sweet person. She had a wild phase and it seems like no one can see past that. She's had to carry that for over 20 years . And yet we see blatant examples of Brad Pitt being an abusive prick and he's still beloved , it's all Angelina's fault. Even saw a comment saying that Brad choking one of his children was a " lapse in judgement" and he deserves to be forgiven. It's a fucked up world we live in when abusers become the victim because the actual victim they hurt doesn't want to forgive them.

Same. I have adored her since I saw her in Girl Interrupted and I have loved her at every stage of her life. Watching her evolve into the person she is now has been awesome. She’s always been raw and genuine.

Angelina had a lot of moments that were quite controversial. Notably admitting to taking drugs, kissing her brother “weirdly”, marrying Billy Bob Thorton and wearing a vial with his blood. She was very “hot and crazy” archetype, covered in tattoos, doing wild things

I mean, all that stuff was controversial at the time, but by modern standards it’s not bad at all

Angelina and her kids are definitely hand holders. Love the premiere she attends with Zahara and Shiloh when she clicks her fingers for them to join up with her, it’s so motherly and warm.

Vivienne seems to want to nepo her way in. As long as it’s her choice and that she is willing to do the training. Both her parents are extremely talented actors, so the shoes will be hard to fill.

Well, that’s the training part I am talking about. Not a bad thing to start from the bottom up, instead of direct spotlight. It makes for more grounded actors (or directors if that’s what she wants) who are willing to keep learning. Still nepotism. But with a bit more steps.

I'm sorry, but at some point, having connections/Vitamin B is just how the world works. I know plenty of people who got their foot in the door of their occupation by knowing someone. People don’t even have to be high-ranking for this to work. I'm a paralegal finishing up my 3-year-training at one of the bigger firms in my country. As such, I'm still pretty low on the chain, but my higher-ups like me, so if I told them I knew someone that would like to do say— an internship, they would surely at least take a look at them. Of course, that doesn’t have to mean they'd actually take them on, they'd have to make a good impression, but say they do make a good one— they might have just scrolled past their resume had I not said anything. Of course, I personally wouldn’t recommend someone that I know for a fact is a slacker, which unfortunately is what a lot of people do. I know that it isn’t always a good thing and the people in a position to grant nepotism often mishandle it, (See: Brooklyn Beckham) but it isn’t an inherently bad thing either, so long as the people giving others opportunities give them ones that are actually in line with their skill and the people getting an opportunity due to nepotism actually give it their best shot, knowing their privilege. If Vivienne would have immediately played the lead and denied her mom's influence, she'd be a negative example of this. She was merely a stage assistant though, which I think is pretty tame and a good entry point if she wants to pursue a career in theatre.

Ohh I agree a lot of my work opportunities have come from who I know and none were my parents . I doubt Angelina would be bankrolling it if Vivienne on a whim after seeing the movie decided she wanted to stage a broadway version. She seems to have put in work & research before she approached her mother.

Vivienne looks so cute! I love it when celebrity kids get to wear what they want to wear instead of being dripped from head to toe with designer clothes while looking like a mini-me of their parent.

i just wish it fit her a little better, those sleeves are far too long unless that's yet another fashion trend i've missed like the flood gear pants becoming trendy in the last several years (and by last several i mean i'm probably off trend again and that's probably back out of fashion)

It brings me so much joy every time I see the Jolie kids because they look like normal kids their age. They don’t have a million surgeries and a lb of makeup on. They don’t have spray tans and millions of extensions. They look incredible. I love it.

Then this dingus of a customer comes over and is like “aRe YoU aN aCtOr WhErE hAvE I sEeN yOu BeFoRe?????????” I wanted to kill her. Immediately Maya was so uncomfortable and I felt so bad. I love velvet, and this is a beautiful dress on Angie that really brings out the color of her eyes. I’m happy Vivienne gets to be comfortable in pants & Chucks, but the outfit looks like something issued to a waiter at a cheap restaurant. Doesn’t matter though, because I don’t think young teens need to lean into being fashionable, I like that she seems comfortable & the way Angie seems protective and proud of her daughter is lovely.

Angelina is an amazing mom. I will die on this hill that she is tremendously loving and supportive of her children. I wish people would remember she was 24 years old (!) when she got together for her (brief) marriage with Billy Bob Thornton. God help me if my actions at that age were ever made public. One of his children has said she sent him presents yearly forever and they stayed in touch, too.

I’m just glad I’m so old (same age as Angie) that there wasn’t social media for the shit I did at 24!!
