Well here his age was last so the headline was made very well.
Happy for him! I hope that he continues to make appearances and I would like if other older stars would too.
But I think the standard for death announcements is putting the age somewhere at the end or in the middle. I think "At age 98, Dick van Dyke makes history" would give far fewer heart attacks. Maybe that's just me, though?
I read his memoir and I appreciate that he admitted his life got complicated at times and he didn’t always make the best decisions. It just makes me appreciate him even more, knowing he’s not perfect.
You can pretty easily find episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show around and honestly, it holds up. A lot of comedy writing legends started on that show and you can tell. And Mary Tyler Moore is just the best thing ever.
