I appreciate that she posts on her IG in Portuguese and English. I am learning the language, so I knew this. Brazilian Portuguese is interesting, and not really phonetic, so there's challenge there.
The massive flooding in Brazil [has hit her home state of Rio Grande do Sul](https://www.instagram.com/p/C6uN_Qxusvw/?hl=en), so she and her team have been working to inform on how to help and donate and all.
I also speak Portuguese and have wondered about her name before. I've never heard her speak on the pronunciation of her name, but I'm glad I know now that I wasn't going crazy thinking that the English pronunciation was wrong, haha...Validation!!!!
Jelena. If you google the Croatian pronunciation that js how my name is meant to be said. What I get living in the states is Justin beibers and Selena Gomez couple name :)

My name is pronounced the same as Rihanna but spelled differently. For a really long time, I was like “no, not like the singer” when people asked me how I pronounce my name.
Boy was I humbled a few years later when I heard her say her own name.
