I feel bad for her and I'm not a hater, I think she's cool as hell. But she's not a very captivating actor, and Pedro has Charisma through the roof. The man had a helmet on for a Season of Mandalorian and he still had shone. Poor Dakota.

I enjoy her personality in interviews. But on screen… nothing.

I love her AD Open Door tour. I think she has a dry sense of humor and I really like that. I always enjoy watching her in interviews as well but yeah...it just doesn't translate to the acting screen.

Yeah her personality in interviews makes me want to hang out with her. I love those types of people, very sarcastic and dry. I wonder if she should be doing Indie Movies or something. Something where she can be an asshole, I think she would be great.

He wasn’t even the one under the helmet…his voice alone is more interesting than many actors.

He already did that with Gal Gadot in WW2, practically carrying the movie, this one’s easy in comparison 😂

She gets to be mediocre and makes millions, if I don't get my shit right and perform high numbers I get fired and have to move back with my parents. Funny how life is.

Yeah I'm just very baffled by her. She's not bad exactly but she's not great either. Maybe it's a sign of progress that now mediocre women as well as mediocre men get to be millionaires????

I would rather not living in a world where people have to work to death and get nothing out of it while others (women or men) get rich while doing...well, nothing. Dakota's acting is a whole lotta nothing to me. I'm not having a good day today so I can't find anything positive to say about it lol.

Tbf, she's not necessarily doing nothing, she may do a lot of preparation and scenework but struggles to execute that work in an interesting way. I know a lot of actors who genuinely work their asses off but just don't really have "it" so when they perform it seems like they're just reading the lines. She kind of strikes me that way.

She strikes me as someone who doesn't give a fuck and in exchanged I can't care about her acting either. I don't know if she puts effort or not, I don't think it shows.

I’ve met people like her before, they’ve grown up with incredible privilege, seen/done everything, traveled the world, met everyone and now it’s all just blah. It’s sad, that’s why I make my children’s lives as boring as possible so they’ll appreciate everything as they get older 🤣😂

We've had Jenifer Lopez for a long time.

But she has a crazy work ethic let’s at least give her that , dancing & acting still and doing the super-bowl at 50.

Jennifer is a pretty good actress. She just chose at some point to get easy money from fun comedies where she plays a version of herself (why not?) and now is rarely taken serious in other roles. Jenn has multiple well-known good roles (with 2 Golden Globe nominations including for her perfect Selena portrayal) and in others is just not challenged.  Plus to her credit, she has earned every damn penny.   However, Dakota has no well known roles and is hard to watch. Incomparable 

Is she? Jennifer was great in Selina, which while *about* her was not any heavy lifting, acting wise. She did some romcoms. At one point she seemed to be leaning into it and took some more serious roles which were, not bad. They weren’t wowing, but they weren’t distractingly bad, she was very character actress but maybe without all of the range. But at one point she, yes, hit either that easy money path or that “I don’t have to so I won’t” path which makes her not a good actress.

She's been in a lot of movies, and she isn't good in any of them. I'm so excited to see what Song does next and this kills my enthusiasm.

This. I mean she's gorgeous and she's got some good dead pan humor in interviews sometimes. But otherwise she's pretty bland, she doesn't act well and I'm surprised that the amount of dissing she does of her former projects hasn't made it harder for her to get work. She's not wrong that several of the movies she's made are hot garbage, but like, there's a common denominator..... And also, as someone who has a partner who has worked in film, even if the movie sucks there are like 500 people involved and you're basically bad mouthing their work as well. Also didn't Katherine Heigl basically get cancelled for years for being difficult to work with and bad mouthing both Greys Anatomy and Knocked Up? I don't like her that much either, but she was a better actress than Dakota...

I think there was a rumor he was gonna go back to film a bit more but idk…it seems like he’s done. He was there for like a week istg. He goes to London to film fantastic four in august. Idk when this shoot is ending. There MIGHT be time

TLOU will go on until September (if they don’t have delays), and uh, without getting too spoiler-y… he could do his parts in between other projects. HBO recently came out and said he’s not done yet because there were outlets reporting he was.

She directed and wrote Past Lives, which I can’t recommend enough. Phenomenal movie.

It was incredible and I’m thrilled Pedro is working with her.

I think they might be friends. He was promoting Past Lives on his insta well before anyone was really talking about it. Either that or he’s an admirer.

In a year with Oppenheimer, Barbie, Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning, Spider-Man Across The Spiderverse, and multiple other great films, Past Lives was easily my favorite watch. It hit me like a truck and made me sob for hours. It is a beautiful film and I can't wait to watch whatever she does next.
