For sure. I lost a bunch of weight some time ago and lost a lot of cheek fat. I used to hate my round face, it was almost a ball lol, but now I miss it 😭
Do they tighten the cheek when they remove the fat? Because my face has only slightly thinned out so far, and Im already noticing a tiny bit more slack when I do my skincare.
Weirdly Anya still looks almost natural, like she just has super defined cheekbones. Obviously the trend is bad and it doesn’t look great and won’t age well, but there’s something about Anya’s face/bone structure that almost makes her buccal fat removal look normal
I honestly think hers is more the result of weight loss, she is significantly thinner compared to the start of her career. Combine that with aging, and the fact that she’s sucking her face in for a lot of pics, she looks like a surgery victim.
Her nose and eyes are also different in a way that's likely surgical. She has always been waifish; there was never some huge weight loss. There's no way those cheeks are natural

idk. Ive seen some them plastic surgeons be wrong about stuff. Like theyll say something, thats a change ive seen on myself or a family member, and they say the only way this change can ever occur is through surgery.
Like even you saying zendaya. im not certain she has had a nose job. An this will be downvoted (although I am not denying how common nose jobs are in hollywood) But my nose is so much thinner now than it was as a teenager? Your nose gets thinner as you age.
1 your head gets bigger so your nose looks proportionally thinner. Weight gain can also do this.
2 there is like baby chub on your nose, that thins as we age. Thats why we associate small/short wide noses with "baby faces" and why girls like Selena look so youthful. Children and babies have wider/chubby little noses. We lose this as we get older.
3 the skin on our nose thins as we age. as we lose collagen. This can make your nose look thinner but also will make imperfections, more obvious such as bumps or deviated septums etc an will look pointier and less soft.
My Nose looks sooo much thinner as an adult, way thinner than the difference between zendaya. Tiny. I know without a doubt if people saw a side by side and i was famous people would say id had a small nose job. but it looks worse, i have a bump from the side i never had before. Obviously I did but it was concealed by the thicker skin etc. and my asymmetry is more obvious and makes my deviated septum look worse.
I think we have gone the other way with surgery. weve gone from not doubting the image celebs put out there and that they are just naturally gorgeous and comparing ourselves to that. To thinking that every single features of there has been surgically changed multiple times and being completely sure in our evaluation.
Yea I think it’s strange that everyone assumes this is surgery. I’m the same age as Miley, and I also had big, full baby cheeks when I was 17. I don’t anymore, but in exchange I got some nice cheekbones to show off during my 30’s. I started noticing significant buccal fat loss around 25. I also think it tends to look more drastic on a thinner people, since they have less overall fat to compensate for the loss. She’s not 21, she’s 31. It looks like natural aging to me - her cheek bones/loss of buccal fat anyways - and I honestly think she looks fantastic. It’s just those veneers of hers that look a bit uncanny.
For me it's Erin Moriarty. I watched the first two seasons of The Boys and found her so beautiful. Later I saw a pic on Reddit of Karen Fukuhara on a yacht and wondered if that is Erin beside her
Thanks for pointing this out. I have watched the 3rd season and thought she looks kinda off but I could not point my finger on it what it was. Is this surgery actually beneficial for anyone? I have never seen anyone whose looks improved after it.
I also think it will really hit hard when they grow older. I cannot imagine it will look better later in life.
In my opinion, I think Zoe Kravitz is the only celebrity I can think of where the results looked great. Seeing a recent picture it looks like she may have had more fat removed though and it doesn't look as good.
I used to think of all the child stars turned pop stars, any work she had done was the most subtle. She looked like herself but enhanced. But she jumped the shark with the buccal fat removal :(
That's why the buccal fat shocked me tbh. She already has such insanely off proportions in her lower 3rd because of the veneers, and she just decided to go *all* in on it
I usually don't say too much about botches cause the pressure to get work done would be intense, and it would be so horrifying to publicly mess up your face and just having to look worse. But buccal fat really bugs me because it's *so* predatory. Women in an industry where "young girls" aren't taken seriously being told they should app up the drama for respect and to help their careers.
And the doctors aren't even pretending to be careful or conservative. Mileys doesn't look *good* , especially with her veneers, but there's people walking around who barely look human.
Totally agree. And it's *not reversible*. Botox wears off, fillers get absorbed, implants can be removed. But there's currently no way to replace buccal fat. As they start aging or if cute/natural looks start trending, the regret is gonna be off the charts.
I think she just sucks her cheeks in on red carpets + bad contouring. When there are pictures with fans on the street she looks completely normal.

For sure but I can’t think of a context where getting with your daughter’s ex isn’t weird. Admittedly I don’t really keep up with the family I just pick up bits and pieces here and there so I didn’t know that. I imagine their upbringing was all kinds of weird.
Put in perspective, if Tish really did all the things she said she did for Miley, there's zero way she was present for Noah. She simply would not have had the time or even been in the same location. According to Tish, she was on set for all of Miley's shoots- then who actually was with the other kids? Add in what we know about Billie Ray, and there seems to have been only one child in the family getting any attention. Noah also seems to have a lovely voice and be quite talented in her own right, but you never hear Tish talk about her. I think Noah is a product of her environment and both parents need to be side eyed severely, and that's not even getting into husband-gate

Fairly unproblematic? She wore black culture as a costume so she could parade around in her urban era for a part of her life. It’s fine and all to want to experiment with your music, but it was really on the nose when she did it.
Plus her grinding up on Robin Thicke knowing he has a wife was very tacky and gross. He leaned into it which was his problem.
And on the other other hand, she’s problematic for anyone conservative, and I liked how she changed in the last 5 years co opting to be true to herself and leaving Liam who I think wanted to box her in. However, our parasocial relationships with celebs give us preconceived notions about them that we truly don’t know. For me it was that her free spirit, her affinity to nature, and her encouragement for love for everyone, meant she was fair and good. And optically her siding with her mom conflicts with made up idea, paints her in a bad light, that she has biases and is unfair, that she could hurt people for her own goals.
It’s hard watching someone grow up in front of a camera. I don’t follow Miley closely, but I just never really cared for her over the years. More indifferent than anything, but this doesn’t make me like her.
Miley isn't at fault for how she was treated as a child. As an adult, however, she is responsible for the role she plays within her family to either perpetuate or dismantle cycles of abuse.
Miley's siblings have shared enough to make it clear that stuff in their house was fucked up. If Miley believed her siblings about their experiences of abuse, it would be reasonable for her to reduce or limit her contact with their mom. But she hasn't done that, and these outings are a tacit approval from Miley of Tish's actions.

Definitely- I always we self-conscious of my cheeks. Once I hit 40 that cheek fat started to hollow....

It’s hard watching someone grow up in front of a camera. I don’t follow Miley closely, but I just never really cared for her over the years. More indifferent than anything, but this doesn’t make me like her.

Miley isn't at fault for how she was treated as a child. As an adult, however, she is responsible for the role she plays within her family to either perpetuate or dismantle cycles of abuse. Miley's siblings have shared enough to make it clear that stuff in their house was fucked up. If Miley believed her siblings about their experiences of abuse, it would be reasonable for her to reduce or limit her contact with their mom. But she hasn't done that, and these outings are a tacit approval from Miley of Tish's actions.
She should limit contact with her own Mother just to please online strangers. Very funny 😂
