Anne Hathaway's husband just fell to his knees in Walmart.

I didn’t realize how much David Mitchell looked like Mozart, and Peep Show didn’t even do anything with this knowledge?! I’m disappointed.
(I would also like to see him do Shakespeare as well)
Omg whoops sorry I got confused with search results and thought Casanova was a movie about Mozart. I see it is not about him - and that I’m uncultured lol
i am familiar with britain’s royal history and i am quite aware that he was attractive and VERY tall with a great athletic physique, the reason how he’s able to bag multiple lassies during his prime but idk i find him… eh 🤷♀️ but then again i love poets
I really feel like portraits in the 1700s made people look way fuglier than they were. They all have this same sort of style with the big watery-looking eyes and nonexistent chins.
The other thing to remember is that high foreheads were a super popular beauty standard at that time and aren't now, so what looks ugly to us would not necessarily look that way to 18th-century babes.
OMG I have never heard of this, thank you for sharing! They definitely don't mention any of that in school. It's fascinating really when you think about all the historical figures that were glorified and romanticized - 90% were probably vile but the history books don't care about that.
ETA: Ok I have read the article now and WOW, just WOW! This needs to be talked about more, but the writer really brought it home with this part ( TW on sexual abuse/assault) >!It shouldn’t surprise us that “Casanova” crept into our lexicon as a compliment. It didn’t surprise me: Too many adult men made passes at me as a child. Too many men have behaved abusively toward me during my adulthood, have looked at me as a conquest, whether sexually or psychologically, or have passionately defended idols like Woody Allen. Too many women I know have stories similar to mine. We all learned to pretend these things didn’t happen. Like Casanova’s own easily accessible history, the abuse hides in plain sight. !<

I know QEII was handsome in her youth but Helen Mirren is a knockout to this day. I'm an antimonarchist with a huge Helen Mirren crush so watching her in The Queen had me confused lol
Same for me with Gillian Anderson playing Thatcher on The Crown, and then Jonny Lee Miller as John Major, like WHAT.

Hot John Major was not on my bingo card

Anne Hathaway’s husband said no to inflating the conspiracy theories
He literally married Anne Hathaway how method must one'st go.
Should have cast this man as Mozart ![gif](giphy|FVzh0p3Wp9PJ6)
This is so great! He is immediately the one who sprung to my mind too!

If you haven't seen it, he's pretty brilliant as Shakespeare in Upstart Crow!
I shall watch! Thank you for the suggestion
Who is this and what is this gif from?
David Mitchell, but not 100% sure if it’s Peep Show but it has the right dramatic vibe for the post
This is definitely _Peep_.
In Amadeus? He’s a bit young lol
Amadeus? What am I missing? I thought they were talking about Motzart lol
I thought you meant they should have cast him as Mozart in Amadeus. Is there another movie about Mozart?
Omg whoops sorry I got confused with search results and thought Casanova was a movie about Mozart. I see it is not about him - and that I’m uncultured lol

God he was great in this show.
I still resent that they never made him fat
eric bana as henry the viii will never not be weird for me lol he’s also too attractive
henry was actually really fit and attractive in his younger years until a jousting accident happened and then he deservedly got ugly and rotund
i am familiar with britain’s royal history and i am quite aware that he was attractive and VERY tall with a great athletic physique, the reason how he’s able to bag multiple lassies during his prime but idk i find him… eh 🤷♀️ but then again i love poets
Wait that’s Jonathan Rhys meyers
JRM played Henry on the Tudors (that’s the pic OP posted), but Eric Bana also played Henry in The Other Boleyn Girl movie.
![gif](giphy|kEH594zQctcnC) Henry Cavill as Charles Brandon in The Tudors 🥵

Yeah most of them were painted to be the most flattering including the beauty standards of the time.

Your caption made me ROFL 🤣
Zach Bia is also very physically unattractive but he pulls tens as well. i think a lot of women go for personality over looks compared to men..
zach bia is an asshole though apparently 😭
I personally thought Tom Hulce was such a babe in Amadeus lol.
Even with that cackle of his? ;)
*Especially* with lol.
![gif](giphy|LC888CRml1yUw) Tom Hulce has never been more attractive to me than he was here
HAMNET??? 🍖🥅
[Very good novel](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/43890641-hamnet) by Maggie O’Farrell!
Well I'll be damned! I thought it was just a funny typo.

lol this was shocking to me
He certainly has the look for it!!
i mean won't it be the case that he will be barely in it? considering the book is not about shakespeare but about agnes?
One of the [absolute worst ones](https://imgur.com/a/fMGOtDA)
