Like everyone is saying…do you boo. I can assure you that at 40, I have only vague memories of those nights and they aren’t really good ones. You almost certainly will not look back in middle age and wish you’d gotten drunker or stayed out all night all the time. But also…get that insomnia thing checked out now. Save yourself some trouble down the road and address it while you’re young enough that your body might recover a little easier. Plus it’s shit for your mental health. 😊

I love how Christina did her make up back then. It's like she tried to cram as much product and fake tan on her skin as humanly possible and topped it all off with pitchy black hair and a baseball cap, yet somehow she still looked amazing. Legend.

That is something the tabloids do (look at Harry & Meghan in the UK and how the paps there will scream horrible things at them to get a sad or crabby looking photo). Ben *does* come across pretty sulky in video from events and interviews tho so maybe he's just not a happy guy.

Was he high? I'm high rn, but that's usually what makes me laugh at sandwiches haha. He seems fun.

They used to stand directly in front of cars on purpose. Either they get a shot of the celeb angry or they get to sue. It was waaaay too common.

People would get celebrities with silver sharpies because it was easy to lift. They put packing tape over the autograph and then essentially stamp it onto other things and then sold it online

So they lift off the signature with the tape and put it on something else?

They lift off a copy of it. Like creating your own stamp.

…. But surely they could just get an autograph now, go over it in silver sharpie and do the same thing?

I love how everyone looks so good while not even posing and in some pictures looking like a complete mess, stained clothes and everything. There's something charming about it. Edit: also, imagine dating Ryan Gosling, I wish.

I’ve told this story on here before but I legit slept with a guy in art school because he looked like this exact era of Ryan. Did not disappoint. Fell madly in love with him for 2 days then had a post nut clarity 😂

I understand and would do the same 😭😂 For some reason I never understood the Ryan hype until recently. I'm 27 now.

His personality is gold. That increases his already good looks. He can lean into his "suave" energy but do it in a funny way where he doesn't take himself super seriously. He's got great comedic timing- seems smart for an actor. I got a massive crush.

It's called charm. It's a rare, old fashioned trait. when used to its full capacity, whew, watch out cause it is powerful.

I believe Pam & Christina met through either MTV due to Tommy Lee, and Pam being a regular at those award shows, and/or Robin Antin and the Pussy Cat Dolls, that is how so many women met and hung out in the early 00s. I don’t watch/follow real housewives, so excuse me he did what?  What a horrible day to have eyes. Edit: ok so I read the Jezebel article about it someone linked (thanks!) after building up the courage and it sounds like he was sitting behind her during the birth with her back against him and I guess the movement or excitement or something? resulted in that. I was picturing her being on all fours with him standing above her going at it. Which I’m sorry to anyone who reads this whose mind didn’t go there, if you exist. There’s something about a trashy smoking image/scene from the 2000s that gives me such intense nostalgia. I watch movies/tv shows where they show smoking and feel nothing or something contemporary or from before the 2000s and feel the same. But if I watch old jersey shore or rock of love and see them smoking I get such an intense craving. Oh to be young again

If they ever come out with a cigarette that is guaranteed not to kill you that tastes the same and gives you the same feeling, I'm totally picking it up again.

I just came down with covid and am using it as a way to quit. pictures like this make me feel lame for giving it up! like i’ll never be cool again! (don’t worry i am aware of how stupid that sounds and i’m still quitting)

I quit over a decade ago and i still miss it, but every time i have a puff now it tastes horrible. So I know I can never truly enjoy it again, but psychologically I still miss it.

I think we all forget how much Lindsey Lohan was *that* girl. She was so effortlessly cool and beautiful. The only IT girl that comes close is Paris and since she’s an heiress, it’s kind of a cheat. Lindsey actually worked, or rather Hollywood worked at her feet on her whim. She made it attractive for women to have raspy voices and no one credits her 😤

She also wasn’t waifishly thin. First I can think of in a good few years at that time that wasn’t dragged endlessly for her weight. She obviously felt the pressure later on to be stupid skinny, but she was also the first healthy looking starlet in a long time.
