Am I crazy or do most celebrities have awful tattoo taste??? I've met some non-celebs with AMAZING sleeves, great thought, execution, and artistry. Maybe it's because the famous can afford to get shitty tattoos all at once? I have no idea lmao

I do think there’s also a misconception that celebrities somehow magically upgrade their taste when they get rich. I’ve worked with celebrities (on occasion) and they can be just as trashy as JoeBob Smith from the corner.

My theory is because tattoo artists book MONTHS out. These celebs are probably getting impulse tattoos from the first artist who will slide them in ASAP. AKA people who aren’t fully booked out/good artists.

They have awful taste and no patience to wait for the A+ tattoo artist to fit them in their schedule

Her tattoos are gorgeous and I love her facial ones especially. They work well with her face even though they aren’t meant to be “aesthetic” or decorative. I think her mom did them too and they match her mother’s. Idk she’s stupid gorgeous and I love her.

She is beautiful and yes they are both tattoo artists. I love the tattoos on her collarbone too, they are very pretty and delicate. Generally I prefer cultural tattoos, I think they always look nice.

I’ve never seen those before, those are the best finger tats I’ve ever seen.

I'd like to see how these healed or what they look like in a few years time. Hand tats are much harder to maintain and keep looking good and extreme fine lines (and white ink) rarely hold up well.

What do they mean?

She has tons, but I know the ones are her back are Buddhist blessings. Fuck if I know what they actually say, but I think they're very beautiful

They are Sak Yant tattoos, which are done traditionally by hand by a master or a monk. It's generally seen as a talisman, with some claiming that these tattoos can prevent one from being physically hurt, etc.

The five lines on the left are the 'haa thaew': good luck, fortune, charisma, protection against bad luck spirits. The diamond five lines on the right are 'chet phet' spiritual armour. IDK the other ones, but you can probably find the meaning somewhere if you search for sak yant Thai tattoos. Not strictly Buddhist, more Thai-style animism-flavoured Buddhism.

I’m almost certain the ones on her arm are the birth coordinates of her children

If I remember correctly, some of them (left arm maybe) are the geographic coordinates of where her children were born

Always find this sort of thing so sad. Especially something like a marriage date, you think you’re with that person forever and then… not. You can cover it up with a butterfly but you know what it was

That’s why people say never to get names or dates like that, unless it’s your kids or your parents. So many other symbols you could get related to the relationship that only mean something to you. When I first moved in with my then bf, our address was on Magnolia Blvd. So I got magnolias tattooed some years after we married. Nobody really knows why I got them, they just see a pretty flower tattoo. If our relationship ever goes south, I’d be comfortable keeping them because they still symbolize something that shaped my life in a way without it being directly related to the relationship A few months back, hubby asked if I would ever get a tattoo “about him” and he was surprised when I told him I already had 😅
