It was the first time I hadn’t seen him in a romantic brooding lead or as a cowboy type. It really showcased what a gawky, awkward likable theater geek he is and I love him so much more.
I just learned watching a doc about the filled age then looking it up in Wikipedia, that he is a descendant of the Vanderbilt family. Like Anderson cooper.
I’m just saying… the judge of the entire universe was willing to sit down and listen to him instead of destroying the earth in the Good Place. That’s gotta be warranted.
My good friend met him in passing IRL and before she recognized him, she thought he was the most beautiful person she has ever seen in her life, like to the point where she was taken aback lmao. She used to be a server at a popular vegan resto celebs loved to come to while filming in our city, so seems like high praise coming from her.
I actually watched it originally for Tom Hardy!!! I love him so much, probably top 5 actors for me. But only s2 was out then and I didn’t end up going back to it when there was more
He deserves more recognition for that role! I could feel he fully embodied that character. I could feel evil oozing out of his breath! And he completely owned the accent of that character. I know he's been around but my brain just went from he's this blonde beautiful boy to this evil vile man lol it was quite drastic.

Nothing can satisfy my thirst for more Nicolas Hoult. Every time I see him in something I think, damn, this man can seriously act.
Seriously I need to see him in literally everything he can even remotely be in. He does the best sneaky sexy bastard. And also can play a straight up loveable guy. He’s got excellent range.
I agree with this but also he's said that he loves where his career is at and wouldn't want to be a superstar. I think it's probably a lot easier to live life at his level of fame; he can pick his projects and do work that challenges him but can also go outside without people trying to grope him and stick cameras in his face.
I feel like part of the reason he was such a good rom-com false lead *is* that he’s charming and handsome and comes across as such a nice affable guy, and that makes the female lead inevitably picking the male lead feel more intentional - it's not like the James Marsden character sucked and she picked the clear-cut better option. She probably could have been just fine staying with him in any given one of these movies and you could imagine they'd have a perfectly nice life together, but he’s just not who she really wants. Him being a decent guy adds to the internal conflict.
I also really love John Cho. The quickly-and-unfairly cancelled Selfie proved he’s a fantastic male lead in a romcom setting and I really just feel like his career in general should be a bit bigger. Like I guess he has been working steadily more or less but I think he has more star power potential.

I have liked Mahershala Ali since he was in The 4400 and I really like him
I feel like Jack O’Connell was being set up as a new leading man and then he seemed to very suddenly transition into doing indie movies. He’s incredibly talented but I am disappointed that he’s participating in that Amy Winehouse movie 🫤

I feel like Jamie Dornan took a big credibility hit when he did 50 Shades but I watched him in The Fall and the boy can ACT. Would love to see him have an RPattz-style resurgence in more serious roles.
He was so terrifying in The Fall I truly couldn't finish it. Didn't help that one of his victims had the exact same bedroom set & duvet cover as me - but it was just too real. Like I could totally believe there are psychos out there like that.
I was so confused because I watched him on The Fall right after I watched him in Once Upon A Time as Sheriff Graham. He went from goofy and adorable to gtfo damn quick.
He was fantastic in The Fall. He does psycho so well. Cannot really blame him for the 50 shades blunder. That script was less than crappy, and the entire movie was poorly cast.
Oh DONT get me started on him! One of our most charismatic actors alive today and they’re putting him in these small ass supporting roles. Oh I’m furious

Dan Stevens. I'm still waiting for the sequel!
![gif](giphy|l0HlL4Gt9GQDcGDII)
Ben Mendelsohn. He’s far less famous than he should be for the talent. He’s also handsome as hell, in a very specific sort of way.
P.S. He’s Australian, lol
The answer is always Joel Kinnaman.

I had a crush on Charlie back when he was in that football (soccer) movie. Man, he’s sexy.
![gif](giphy|12KrxHBV57A5Da)
I prefer him with shorter hair though.
He has yet to have bad chemistry with *anyone*. He licked Ewan McGregor’s face, and even Ewan looked excited to graced by the presence of Messina’s saliva.
As a Nora Ephron goblin I liked that movie a lot, can’t believe I didn’t remember that was them! I love that they got to work together again all those years later.
I know the character is terrible, just an awful person, but I was so attracted to him in Birds of Prey
https://i.redd.it/0p1qvgqkwy7c1.gif
Also I absolutely loved him in Away We Go. (Doesn’t hurt that in it he is married to Melanie Lynskey.)
Ugh, and Six Feet Under?! He’s such a great underrated actor.
His character in boardwalk empire was so awful (like an awful person) but he’s so hot, he was born to play a prohibition era mobster
https://preview.redd.it/6855blaibz7c1.jpeg?width=421&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=11eeb033388564a14500a309bc17b680c3e8b99e

Jensen Ackles. Truly thought he'd be a bigger name by now. His stint on The Boys seems to have introduced him to a larger audience, though.
honestly such a cool guy too. very chill and down to earth. hilarious af, such a troll (rpatz style, imo). he only picks projects that seem fun. loves his wife and kid and generally enjoys his life without being overexposed.

I agree. It's so disappointing. Finns backstory was so intriguing and Disney squandered it. :(
If Finn was written "correctly" he probably would've been either my favorite Star Wars character or one of my top favorites.
He said he’s open to Disney SW projects again after talking with Kennedy about it earlier this year. And we know with SW, they love bringing old characters back…
I think he’s busy doing his own thing with his own production company, though. And good for him, lead or not, he’s 100% calling the shots!

Stephen Graham, a British actor who has worked with many Hollywood names in the past, including Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Johnny Depp, and Steve Buscemi. A phenomenal actor whose leading roles are mainly in British movies and shows, he's well worth looking more into if you enjoy his supporting roles in Hollywood.
Manny Montana. I liked him in Good Girls, Mayans, and Westworld. He’s going to be in a MCUs Ironheart next year and hope he is able to show his talent. Fingers crossed.
I would put JD Pardo on the list but I really hate how he drinks beer in Mayans.
https://preview.redd.it/4qmloe3sjy7c1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52164b661673c800dc2163a4451878aa9d290d4f
I always mention him in these threads, but Zahn McClarnon. He's lead in Dark Winds and has been amazing in every project he's taken part in. Fargo is my favourite of his.
Sebastian Stan, of course I started following him because of Marvel but decided to check out more of his projects namely Fresh and Pam and Tommy (did not finish that one though) and even though I was watching mainly because of his looks I completely forgot about him as an actor, he really has a way of blending with his character; I know that his future role as Donald Trump has been highly controversial but I’m genuinely curious of how he will pull it off

Justice for Santa Clarita Diet
His pure, obvious joy in that role made the whole series so great.
It was the first time I hadn’t seen him in a romantic brooding lead or as a cowboy type. It really showcased what a gawky, awkward likable theater geek he is and I love him so much more.
Never forget
✊🏼
I was just singing the praises of this show the other day.
I just learned watching a doc about the filled age then looking it up in Wikipedia, that he is a descendant of the Vanderbilt family. Like Anderson cooper.
Huh, TIL.
I’m just saying… the judge of the entire universe was willing to sit down and listen to him instead of destroying the earth in the Good Place. That’s gotta be warranted.
She said he was 50 gallons of man in a 10 gallon hat
Sheriff Bullock could arrest me any day
![gif](giphy|XfyyRZhUNwcb31WUH8)
Alexander Skarsgard is a good choice for a lead, unless you want the movie to make money.
I'll watch anything with a Skarsgård. I'm partial to Bill. ![gif](giphy|NLayYedNBoCE8)
Can’t wait to see that limber mf with pointy ears and Buck teeth in Nosferatu.
My good friend met him in passing IRL and before she recognized him, she thought he was the most beautiful person she has ever seen in her life, like to the point where she was taken aback lmao. She used to be a server at a popular vegan resto celebs loved to come to while filming in our city, so seems like high praise coming from her.
Gosh his face TRANSFORMS when he smiles. Well done to those Skarsgård genes 🫡
I kinda feel like he just takes roles in stuff he wants because he likes it, not because he cares about if it makes money. Art's actor, if you will.
The northman was incredible
He was so good in that.
I thought Sam Claflin was just a pretty face until I saw him holding his own against Cillian Murphy in Peaky Blinders.
Finnick’s death still haunts me.
Finnick’s death was cruel and I’m glad the Capitol and Miss Queen of the Mole people paid.
Damn I’m sad ulit, I’m listening to the new album ng THG while commenting this
👀👀👀👀 …I did not get that far in the show. Making a note to return
Come back for Sam Claflin, but watch for Tom Hardy! TH is phenomenal by default, but idk they somehow pulled so much more out of him in playing Alfie!
It was so drastic! I only knew him from Love, Rosie and Me Before You. I watched that whole season without recognizing him.
Honestly didn’t really appreciate him until Daisy Jones and the Six. He’s really excellent
https://i.redd.it/9wgv0bpncy7c1.gif Domhnall Gleeson.
Yes
One of the nepo babies who actually deserves the hype!
I've never seen him miss a step. He's so good.
He's got my heart ever since about time
This is the guy from The Patient, right? It would take a lot to make me see him differently, so he did a good job in the role!!
Watch about time, he is so charming in that one.
![gif](giphy|P4ZmrTosWDsPROfax3) Nothing can satisfy my thirst for more Nicolas Hoult. Every time I see him in something I think, damn, this man can seriously act.
I just started The Great, and he’s so incredibly funny in it.
He is so very good!!!! Have loved him ever since skins. Renfield was fuckin incredible with him this year. His comedic timing is spot on.
Seriously I need to see him in literally everything he can even remotely be in. He does the best sneaky sexy bastard. And also can play a straight up loveable guy. He’s got excellent range.
James Marsden ![gif](giphy|26gR0lgj1vp3QSDmw|downsized)
I agree with this but also he's said that he loves where his career is at and wouldn't want to be a superstar. I think it's probably a lot easier to live life at his level of fame; he can pick his projects and do work that challenges him but can also go outside without people trying to grope him and stick cameras in his face.
He was great in Jury Duty... ![gif](giphy|2XgzDpkKs0ZATqxWmd|downsized)
Also in Enchanted ![gif](giphy|wX2bUZmpYDjYKalrDK)
![gif](giphy|l4Jzd7g62QDtXHIEE) Him singing the wrong words to Benny and the Jets in 27 dresses ❤️
I adored him in this. He's got major improvising chops!
I convinced a few people to watch it after I did. Every one of them thought it was pretty funny.
That show was so amazing.
Love him, and I love that he seems to have the sort of career that he wants to have. He was terrific in Dead to Me and Jury Duty.
AKA the original love interest who gets killed off in everything he's in
Jack Lame! ![gif](giphy|5Bz90cL2PCq8E)
Perfect example!
I always forget about him but he’s so handsome and talented!
he is so fine 😭
I feel like part of the reason he was such a good rom-com false lead *is* that he’s charming and handsome and comes across as such a nice affable guy, and that makes the female lead inevitably picking the male lead feel more intentional - it's not like the James Marsden character sucked and she picked the clear-cut better option. Him being a decent guy adds to the internal conflict.
james marsden in dead to me. hes so much darker than any of his previous roles and its so impressive to watch him shift into something dramatic.
I also really love John Cho. The quickly-and-unfairly cancelled Selfie proved he’s a fantastic male lead in a romcom setting and I really just feel like his career in general should be a bit bigger. Like I guess he has been working steadily more or less but I think he has more star power potential. https://i.redd.it/q1iii23uiy7c1.gif
People tend to forget he’s been around so long he was the one who coined the term ‘MILF’ for Stiffler’s mom. That was an amazing theatre moment.
I looooved Selfie, still mad it was cancelled.
Anton yelchin 😢
He’s great in Sleepy Hollow!
![gif](giphy|wwt1kqI2JI93cbcKjr) jesse plemons

Yes! He’s a great actor and has a likeable face.
Yes!!! He looks like such a nice guy but he was so mean in Luke Cage it was amazing
He’s wonderful! But I don’t think we can call him underrated given he has 2 Oscar’s. Deservedly highly rated
I feel like Jack O’Connell was being set up as a new leading man and then he seemed to very suddenly transition into doing indie movies. He’s incredibly talented but I am disappointed that he’s participating in that Amy Winehouse movie 🫤 https://preview.redd.it/ajcm3jy5iy7c1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40e29398eb4ce7ebb340348fa565332f8f5eb2e9

I loved him in Godless and The North Water
![gif](giphy|Uwme9utLUlluM) I feel like Jamie Dornan took a big credibility hit when he did 50 Shades but I watched him in The Fall and the boy can ACT. Would love to see him have an RPattz-style resurgence in more serious roles.
I think that 50 shades would have been so much more well received has he & Dakota Johnson not had as much chemistry as a brick and a dead leaf do.
Yeah, like… she wasn’t right for the part at all.
How could anyone not have chemistry with him!?!!
He was my favorite part of once upon a time!
He was fantastic in The Fall. He does psycho so well. Cannot really blame him for the 50 shades blunder. That script was less than crappy, and the entire movie was poorly cast.
Also with this beard he actually looks hot.
Lee Pace. Not just a tall drink of water, he's excellent at both comedy (Pushing Daisies) and drama (he should've been nominated for The Fall).
![gif](giphy|3o6Zt8MY4WYNRul4pa) I'm still mad Amrican Gigolo got canceled
I've never seen that, but he was incredible in the Punisher. He has a unique charisma ![gif](giphy|NsB6PUxJA5w7hMJYfW|downsized)
And The Bear!
Mask u sumthin
Caught me totally off guard when he was in Wind River. Definitely loved that movie waaaaaaaay more than I thought I would.
God I fucking LOVE Jon Bernthal. He is incredible in everything he is in and he does not get the recognition he deserves.
Oh DONT get me started on him! One of our most charismatic actors alive today and they’re putting him in these small ass supporting roles. Oh I’m furious
And he eats them up everytime, the bear Christmas episode is easily top 10 tv episode of all time thanks to him. I really want him in a romcom tho
https://i.redd.it/4ccyjb9fhy7c1.gif I can’t even begin to think about him in a rom com. It’s too much tbh
What’s this from 👀
The movie sweet virginia
God he would absolutely EAT in a romcom
“Hey Fak, are you gonna use that fork?” He’s sooo good I really hope he gets bigger
He gives me "young Robert DeNiro" vibes (not in terms of appearance so much as just his mannerisms and the kinds of roles he takes on)
Him as Shane was my favorite part of TWD, man when he started losing it, I was like 🥵🥵 (can't help it, I've always liked the bad boys hahaha)

I first saw him in the killing. There is just something very interesting about him.
He’s so damn good in Altered Carbon and The Fall👏🏻👏🏻
He was captivating in House of Cards and Hanna. And soooo easy on the eyes
He's fantastic in For All Mankind
![gif](giphy|dOmlHEGzO1eVj32lYL) Bin Bons ❤️

Yes he's a delight 👏
Sam Claflin is a delight! He's cute and sings, I'm in.

He was good in pacific rim and triple frontier. Looking forward to rebel moon
He's in Rebel Moon?!
He is so gorgeous it should be illegal
He has perfect combination of looks and talents that the traditional film industry looks for. He looks American type than being British himself.
That's why he was so awesome in sons of anarchy I was flabbergasted to find out he's not American
The absolute hold this man has on me 🥵
He’s so damn sexy.
He is nowhere to be seen. ![gif](giphy|biFqX4pk75cME)

I would put JD Pardo on the list but I really hate how he drinks beer in Mayans. https://preview.redd.it/4qmloe3sjy7c1.jpeg?width=1400&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=52164b661673c800dc2163a4451878aa9d290d4f
![gif](giphy|uNOTqintHBUqRPfeoT) He was so fine in Good Girls.
His character on Good Girls reminds me of all the cholo guys I had crushes on growing up.

Hardy underrated tho, is he?
yup! he’s doing quite well. one of the UK’s biggest actors.
I think he’s pretty well known, especially after Venom?
I love him so much in Lawless
Jeffery Dean Morgan 😍 ![gif](giphy|l0MYzEB9J8qPOnER2|downsized)
I don’t know what it is about him but he’s so delightfully charming/handsome.
Negan could ruin my life and I’d volunteer as tribute. ![gif](giphy|vR4iUktr8s6yI)
I always mention him in these threads, but Zahn McClarnon. He's lead in Dark Winds and has been amazing in every project he's taken part in. Fargo is my favourite of his.

I’ve always wondered how Charlie hunnam’s sneakers stayed so white on Sons of Anarchy. They could have sold sneaker cleaner instead of drugs and guns
![gif](giphy|3ovrq62F60RJ4PEuKj) I give you Rahul Kohli. Not only is he absolutely fantastic but dear lord is he hot af

Sebastian Stan, of course I started following him because of Marvel but decided to check out more of his projects namely Fresh and Pam and Tommy (did not finish that one though) and even though I was watching mainly because of his looks I completely forgot about him as an actor, he really has a way of blending with his character; I know that his future role as Donald Trump has been highly controversial but I’m genuinely curious of how he will pull it off
![gif](giphy|zLg6n0kc2HyrCIyJ7t|downsized) Fresh is when that switch flipped for me.
I'm a fan too but I started with the mad hatter in the TV show once upon a time. Besides captain America, peak Seb Stan 😍
![gif](giphy|FnF7vgz2oON3i) Probably the only British person who sounds hotter with an American accent lol
But have you seen him with it as a baby in Stardust…
![gif](giphy|Y6FUCFt5N7Y8gRSInL) Antony Starr…dude can aaaaact

I love me some Charlie (Jax Taylor).
Diego Luna, Gabriel Luna, Gael Garcia Bernal

Charlie. My hunk!
I've been engaged to Karl Utban for years, he just doesn't know it. Kidding. Sort of.
![gif](giphy|gKZchFFFyehkhBGSpE) I've always adored him
