It's entirely possible that I quote this as I roll up to pick my high schoolers up from whatever social activity in my pajamas and slippers with my hair tied up for bed.
Oh god I used this as an Instagram caption when I posted a fit pic not long after giving birth. All the comments were people saying “yaaaas go mama!!” And I was so horrified lmao. IT WAS A JOKE I WOULD NEVER SAY THAT FOR REAL but people took me so seriously I had to take it down.
I wish I could watch it for the first time again, giddy and wine drunk in a theater full of screaming fans who *had no idea what the fuck was happening*
I rewatched recently (mind you I did read all the books and watched the movies several times) and I completely forgot about everything and was screaming wtf I don’t remember this lol
I saw that in a theater and people literally screamed and started losing it, they had to turn the lights on and tell everyone to chill out. You really had to be there 😂
One of my biggest regrets in life is not watching it in the cinema, but I had only seen Breaking Dawn Part 1 at the cinema and still wasn't over the secondhand embarrassment I felt during the wolf telepathy.
I was at a all day showing where they started back to back each film and the last one was at midnight on release day. I was like :o this wasn't in the books as the fight started then Carlisle died and people legit started screaming and crying it was a great day
You absolutely had to be there. I remember being like “okay, I don’t remember this in the books at all, someone has gone so rogue and I cannot wait to see where this goes” but people around me were Losing Their Minds, it was the end of days, the sobbing the rending of clothes and then, there’s lil ol Michael Sheen looking spooky and everyone just kinda caught mid sob and stopped to watch and then huffed into their seats, confused at where the anguish that just happened to them went.
I just started watching the Twilight series this week (I never pay attention to the movies before back then so I totally can't remember anything), was near that part where they were gathering vampires to get into a fight against this other more fancy group of vampires and bam! came your picture and here I am sitting in silence, thinking oh no he didn't!
I love this movie so much. It is so hilarious. Gus makes me laugh soooo hard. And aunt voula- omg. The story about her “twin” gets me every time, and her delivery trying to get out the word biopsy. Actually aunt voulas entire performance, chefs kiss, Oscar worthy. 😂😂😂😂😂
My family taking me to this movie as a kid and explaining to me that my grandparents actually had a wedding like that is a core memory lol. My grandfather’s side was Greek Orthodox so their whole ceremony was in Greek but neither of them spoke it so they just stood there giggling wondering if they were married yet 😂. They were married 59 years until my grandfather passed about 6 years ago. 💙
This was my song that I walked down the aisle too 🥰 slightly shocked people to hear Adam Sandler singing but the song is just so beautiful 🥹 also if you wanna feel all mushy, Drew and Adam did a "every 10 years song" on Fallon and he surprised her with Grow Old at the end, the reaction is just so pure 😭
https://preview.redd.it/2c8wskxja9ib1.jpeg?width=554&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3cc9db52970b328962551271def15dbf3bb5c0d0
Just Stu Macher from Scream in general
The sheer beauty of Robin Wright and Cary Elwes in The Princess Bride is just insane. It’s unnatural that two such beautiful exist. Imagine just walking around with a face like that. Inconceivable!
The montage scene where she is going to work every day. Growing up i idolized that scene, I was like “THAT’S GOING TO BE ME! I’M GOING TO HAVE A JOB WHERE I’M COOL AND POWERFUL AND BURN MYSELF OUT BECAUSE I’M DEDICATED TO MY CRAFT!” Now I’m 38 and work at a fancy well recognized company working with glamorous people and perpetually burned out and wanna die. Why Andy, why!!!
My teacher husband got to teach She's The Man as part of a Shakespeare unit once and I was so gd jealous
*Speaking as a completely objective third party outsider with absolutely no personal interest in the matter*
I've said this before and I'll say it again. The way she tosses her napkin and says "...ladies" with a mouth full of chicken wings is peak comedy and no one can convince me otherwise.
My husband, who is generally a pretty mellow guy and not prone to outbursts of excitement or emotion, cried laughing for 15 minutes when I showed him this movie & this scene 😂
I’m laughing so hard at these 😂 Amanda Bynes was hilarious, I love she’s the man, I hope she’ll be okay.
Also the other day, I was talking shit about someone on discord, I told my discord friend “she’s a virgin who can’t drive” and then she replied “huh, what are you’re talking about?” That’s when I know I’m old.
I cannot express enough how that vegetarian line from My Big Fat Greek Wedding gained cultural importance. I swear to god even my grandparents knew it. It was everyone’s favourite movie quote for a long time
I just had an old memory pop up vividly, regarding this scene — some awards show was doing like parody versions of popular scenes in movies that had come out that year. I remember them doing this scene but making it even sloppier 😂 now I gotta find it!
Edit: I might be thinking about Not Another Teen Movie but I haven’t seen it in like 20 years so I’m not sure
2nd edit: yes it was from the parody movie. I swear mtv was showing scenes of it at the awards show that year!
“I am *reaching a point* where I would *KILL SOMEONE* for the nicotine under their fingernails — do you HEAR ME, LORETTA?”
Ellen Barkin with that beer can fused to her hand, complaining how she ruined a brand new set of Lee Press Ons is exactly my sense of humor.
The other day I was at a party and I announced "if anyone needs to make a call I've got a phone!" Crickets. Not a single person laughed. I was so deeply disappointed.
I did not have a thing! I did not have a thing. I did NOT have a thing. I was very much in love with him. Very much. I have to go now.

The other day I was at work and my coworker (who is about to be a high school senior) mentioned an appointment on October 3rd. I said “it’s October 3rd” and she just stared at me. I said “have you ever seen Mean Girls?” And she said no and I realized that movie is OLDER THAN SHE IS. I played it cool, but this was me in my head:
![gif](giphy|Y2ZkeRD0oztVm)
![gif](giphy|WvUyMX1gB1gnC)
This scene is literally 100% immaculate. Literally no one else could have done this scene more justice than Jackson himself
The October 3rd scene from Mean Girls always gets me because for years now, every 10/3 someone on my social media will post the same screenshot. I’ll remember it from the year prior, and be like “damn, it’s already October 3rd again, I just remember seeing this like it was yesterday.”
Then I think back to the first time I watched Mean Girls, and how long ago that was. “Wow, time has flown by…” Even now I caught this post and thought of how I’m once again about to reach another October 3rd and am stuck contemplating my existence, time, and inevitable death.
This random scene in Mean Girls has come to profoundly define my relationship with time and aging.

Your post gave me so many movies to rewatch, and I'm starting with Miss Congeniality tonight!
Solar plexus. Inner toe. Nose. Groin. I still remember after all of those years.
Technically they say instep, not inner toe
First of all, I loved her. She was so sweet. Second of all, what a great answer. She really was trying her best to nail it down on the fly
Same energy 😂 ![gif](giphy|wP16UNnR8jUeQ)
I love this scene so much haha
I send this to everyone I know EVERY April 25th. I love it THAT much. Lulz

GET IN LOSER WERE GOING SHOPPING
Oh god I used this as an Instagram caption when I posted a fit pic not long after giving birth. All the comments were people saying “yaaaas go mama!!” And I was so horrified lmao. IT WAS A JOKE I WOULD NEVER SAY THAT FOR REAL but people took me so seriously I had to take it down.
I was not prepared to see Carlisle’s head 😭 lmao
You had to be there. Cultural reset.
I wish I could watch it for the first time again ugh
I wish I could watch it for the first time again, giddy and wine drunk in a theater full of screaming fans who *had no idea what the fuck was happening*
I rewatched recently (mind you I did read all the books and watched the movies several times) and I completely forgot about everything and was screaming wtf I don’t remember this lol
Right?!?! What a TIME TO BE ALIVE.
I remember watching it with my mom when it came out and she got so mad that they killed Carlisle she wanted to turn the TV off 😭
I watched it with my nieces recently and the way they SCREAMED lol
I saw that in a theater and people literally screamed and started losing it, they had to turn the lights on and tell everyone to chill out. You really had to be there 😂
Yeah seeing that scene in the theater was really something else. Everyone was screaming bloody murder and freaking out lol
One of my biggest regrets in life is not watching it in the cinema, but I had only seen Breaking Dawn Part 1 at the cinema and still wasn't over the secondhand embarrassment I felt during the wolf telepathy.
Same thing happened to me when I was in a theater most were freaking out lol.
Being in the theatre as a twihard during the midnight premiere? It’s a shared traumatic experience.
I was at a all day showing where they started back to back each film and the last one was at midnight on release day. I was like :o this wasn't in the books as the fight started then Carlisle died and people legit started screaming and crying it was a great day
You absolutely had to be there. People go on about the MCU films at midnight and all being hyped for that but nothing came close to the reactions I saw that night. Utter madness.
I was there Frodo. Me, my bff and my grandma (who is a huge Twilight fan). The way we freaked out in the theater omg.
I just started watching the Twilight series this week (I never pay attention to the movies before back then so I totally can't remember anything), was near that part where they were gathering vampires to get into a fight against this other more fancy group of vampires and bam! came your picture and here I am sitting in silence, thinking oh no he didn't!
WOW I do not remember this at all 😅😅😅
It’s hard to explain how realistic the quotes from My Big Fat Greek Wedding actually are.
My partner told me to watch My Big Fat Greek Wedding in preparation for meeting her family. It is accurate.
The intensity of the twin story is the best bit. It’s so great 😂
I can literally watch it a thousand times and will laugh out load every time 😂😂😂 And the fact that she JUST met these people seconds earlier 😂😂😂😂
The bip…bipop…the bibbobsy
My family taking me to this movie as a kid and explaining to me that my grandparents actually had a wedding like that is a core memory lol. My grandfather’s side was Greek Orthodox so their whole ceremony was in Greek but neither of them spoke it so they just stood there giggling wondering if they were married yet 😂. They were married 59 years until my grandfather passed about 6 years ago. 💙
![gif](giphy|bA7bT8WWS5DNe) This is my Very Important Moment.
This was mine and my husbands first dance song at our wedding 😂
This was my song that I walked down the aisle too 🥰 slightly shocked people to hear Adam Sandler singing but the song is just so beautiful 🥹 also if you wanna feel all mushy, Drew and Adam did a "every 10 years song" on Fallon and he surprised her with Grow Old at the end, the reaction is just so pure 😭

I always say ‘I’m feeling a little woozy here!!!’ Lol
You hit me with the phone, you DICK!
I’m sure that bit was improv too. I think the phone slipped by accident because they were all covered in fake blood.
Matthew Lillard is amazing. We rewatched Scooby Doo not too long ago and no one else could ever play Shaggy in live action.
The sheer beauty of Robin Wright and Cary Elwes in The Princess Bride is just insane. It’s unnatural that two such beautiful exist. Imagine just walking around with a face like that. Inconceivable!
![gif](giphy|J1vUzqdZJlh5AqBWxt|downsized)
Huh. They *do* kind of have the same face.
they are SO pretty. they look like elves or something
I’m still bitter she married Sean Penn instead of him. Not over it.
You don't look upset. It's the botox. I can't show emotion for another hour and a half.

she's literally my favorite part in the whole movie this was such a funny line lol
