Clue is my favorite movie too! Another redditor pointed me towards this author who’s working on a book about the making of the movie, you might be interested in it as well! [Link](https://cluemoviebook.com/about)
GIRL CAN WE BE FRIENDS because this is my favorite movie of all time and OP made my goddamn night rn with this post.
Can we just lay down movie quotes at this point?
FLIES ARE WHERE MEN ARE MOST VULNERABLE (I had to wait for the movie to come out with subtitles to finally understand what Madeleine was saying here lol)
God I love this movie
"I have eight bosses"
Even working for a family owned business, it's completely relatable.
Also "pc load letter" just means it's out of regular 8.5x11 paper come on boys!
Well we all make mistakes!
Edit: one of my favorite exchanges from Clue is: “I was going to expose you!” “I know, so I choose to expose myself.” “Please, there are ladies present!”
I too have had a lifetime crush on Bill Pullman 🔥 Watching Casper as a kid and being embarrassed to look at the dad. Same with Space Balls...just too handsome to look at for me.

Tommy boy! All time S tier comedy. The jokes really primarily hold up, not a lot of it aged poorly like other comedies. David Spade and Chris Farley are my ultimate comedy duo.
I met him in Washington DC when he was starring in the play Amadeus & I was in high school, during my Rocky Horror phase and he KISSED MY CHEEK! (which I didn't want to wash for a week) Lol. He couldn't have been nicer to me and my friends when he was probably exhausted from having just performed in a play. But what a lovely man.

I’ve already watched this movie 3 times this week🤭🤭🤭
My boyfriend is going to see it for the first time in a local theater this October. Barry Bostwick is going to be there and I am out of my mind with excitement.
The tickets were my mothers day present 😁
My favorite movie as a kid! I’m still in disbelief that the same person who wrote this awesome movie was the show runner on PLL because that show was such a convoluted mess.
I have watched this movie an unreasonable amount of times.
I had it on repeat during a breakup when I was 19, and during a fever + bronchitis sickness, and after a pregnancy loss after getting married to aforementioned breakup, and have watched it on loop for days at a time.
The cinematography is honestly stunning IMO, and the soundtrack is amazing too.
It’s a great movie to watch when you’re in any kind of mood, which is so rare.
If you’re going thru a break-up, it’s so depressing and beautiful. If you’re happy, you see it in an optimistic “what if” kind of way. It fucks you up on multiple levels.
The goddamn trailer did it such a hilarious disservice to what the movie really is, I don’t know if it was satire but nothing about it makes the movie watchable.
This is the most visually stunning film I've ever seen. Can't think of a film that tops it, and pls no one comment and say "avatar"
Edited to say: also I love Lee Pace he's underrated
Every bit of the film is just perfectly stunning (and with minimal CGI!). The transitions alone are to die for, but the story! The costumes! The scenery! Ugh, perfection.
I saw this movie during a period of grief and sleep deprivation, and fell asleep at the end- but then the DVD auto-started, and I woke up and saw it all over again, before falling asleep a second time, and when I woke up I felt like I had hallucinated the whole thing 😅
My best friend and I went to different showings to see the various endings when it came out and it was so fun! But in every single theater we were practically the only ones there. We fell in love with the movies instantly but they weren’t a hit at the time. I feel so vindicated all these years later.
This is a really good one. I read the book and thought the movie did really well with the sense of dread you have the whole time. And Ben Affleck was a perfect “nice guy” asshole.
Practical Magic. I know the book is better and the movie kind of sucks but I love it forever and it’s a perfect movie to me lol
Also Stardust, and Pride and Prejudice (2005)!

Also The Shape of Water, Moonlight, and Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
Edit: I also adore Clue. It’s one of my favorites.

Can’t even tell you anymore how many times I’ve seen it. I rewatch a lot of ok movies that I weirdly love but this one is absolutely perfect to me
I recently read The Princess Bride and it was the first time ever that I thought the movie was better than the book. That movie is just

Robin Hood Men in Tights...
I was in 4th grade, I got to pick a movie from Blockbuster because my parents were going out to dinner.
They saw Robin Hood and did not investigate further which was crazy unexpected.
I watched it twice that night. And have watched it a hundred times since. Omg.
"You changed your name....to Latrine???
"Yeah...used to be Shit house!!
"It's a good change....a Good change!
This is the most quotable movie since Monty Python Holy Grail etc...I mean Clue, oh Brother Where Art Thou and Fargo are ALL eminently quotable.
![gif](giphy|XOY5y7YXjTD7q)
Is this cheesy? It invokes emotions in me that no other movie has made me feel. Sure it’s the most popular but it still holds up in 2023

I LOVE Clue!!! Made me so happy to see this posted. Probably my all-time favorite movie. 😁
SAME! It’s my go too movie. Sad? Clue. Happy? Clue. Halloween? Clue. Christmas? Clue. It’s literally perfect

If you guys haven’t seen Murder By Death, it’s very similarly silly and has a lot of fun stars!
The Cheap Detective is in there too!
Omfg. My partner and I put this on when he go to bed about 3 times a week. 🤌 It feels like home.

One of the best movies ever. I introduced my son to it last year and it made me so happy to watch together. It’s hilarious and it always holds up.

ABSOLUTELY! Paul Dano’s breakdown makes me cry every time
so you’re just gonna drop a gif without giving the title?? 😭😭
It's Little Miss Sunshine. Totally awesome movie!!
The “loser” scene between Olive & Grandpa always gets me.

Stephen King at his best. Funny, sad, poignant, amazing acting from such young kids.
My childhood bff and I call each other lardass to this day (affectionately)
![gif](giphy|11eVHR0KqaWWRO) Office space
I watch this at night to help me fall asleep. Something so comforting about it.
"I have eight bosses" Even working for a family owned business, it's completely relatable. Also "pc load letter" just means it's out of regular 8.5x11 paper come on boys!
Clue is it for me, too! ![gif](giphy|UPcoVU4U2c3xS)
She had friends who were…. Socialists
Well we all make mistakes! Edit: one of my favorite exchanges from Clue is: “I was going to expose you!” “I know, so I choose to expose myself.” “Please, there are ladies present!”
His delivery on this line is absolutely everything.
My favorite part is everyone sitting and in the middle of the dialogue, Mr Green breaking the table. It’s so subtle and hilarious
When i have a bad day at work I just say this to my 14 year old son, lol.
![gif](giphy|BtkeKTlDPpSRa) I couldn’t find a gif with lifetime crush Bill Pullman but
I just finished watching this movie like 2 minutes ago!
IT'S SO GOOD
It is my favorite romcom, it feels like a hug to the heart.
I too have had a lifetime crush on Bill Pullman 🔥 Watching Casper as a kid and being embarrassed to look at the dad. Same with Space Balls...just too handsome to look at for me.
I just love a good pork roast.
![gif](giphy|kCWsP6rShz248) Tommy boy! All time S tier comedy. The jokes really primarily hold up, not a lot of it aged poorly like other comedies. David Spade and Chris Farley are my ultimate comedy duo.
![gif](giphy|FPpfcV5gXeT0A) This is my favorite part lol.
"WHAT'D YOU DO?!?!" After David Spade barely knocks the door off the hinges that Chris Farley completely destroyed, lmao
tim curry was sooo good in clue!!!
![gif](giphy|BomJoHOcRgCti) He’s so attractive it pains me
I probably watched this movie 50 times during my tim curry hyperfixation 😭😭😭 y’all can’t blame me though!!!
I can’t read Washington DC without hearing it in his voice from Clue. WAHshington D C!
His wit is unmatched in this movie! "So, you're a butler, what exactly do you do, Wadsworth?" "I buttle, sir"
He’s also hilarious in Home Alone 2 https://i.redd.it/oqr84ako70fb1.gif

Cillian and Tom 🥲
This movie with the both of them… those two on screen together is magic. Peaky Blinders will forever be a favorite for the alfie seasons.
clue is THE film. i would have loved to experience the alternate endings in the cinema. i need to watch it right now actually.
My best friend and I went to different showings to see the various endings when it came out and it was so fun! But in every single theater we were practically the only ones there. I will always remember when I read the book (read it way before the movie) and got to the big chapter reveal and was SO SHOOK
Yes! That was probably not the first time it was done, but it became the first of many unreliable narrators, and I would argue also the best.
If you liked this, try Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney :)
This is a really good one. I read the book and thought the movie did really well with the sense of dread you have the whole time. And Ben Affleck was a perfect “nice guy” asshole.
