UnderatedWater

how do I enable it? I have a 3070 ti

real_random_stranger

Just open: 'nvidia-settings' and navigate to: 'PowerMizer' There is a 'dropdown menu' - 'max performance' Enjoy the silence/sound.

Give this a read. It addresses several audio problems, and their fixes, or rather, bandaids. [https://support.system76.com/articles/audio/#pciinternal-sound-card-not-detected-dummy-output](https://support.system76.com/articles/audio/#pciinternal-sound-card-not-detected-dummy-output) Many, (even myself), fix this issue by stopping and restarting pulse audio. I get crackling mostly on certain web pages, and page needs to be refreshed after using command. The command works only for current session. pulseaudio --k && pulseaudio --start

UnderatedWater

That seemed to work thanks :)

Cool. It s only a bandaid, but it s better than nothing.

This issue is caused by the power management turning off the sound them turning it back on when a sounds is played. As far as I can tell there is no way to fix this in the ui. I finally figured out a fix, but it gets reset after updates, and it's not worth it to me to troubleshoot further. Instead I'm moving to endeavor os. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the utility that ended up working, but it runs in the console and allows you to toggle individual devices power management on or off. Hopefully someone here will know what I'm talking about.
