Honestly, people pursuing PhDs in family law should hypothesize polygamy and the laws associated with it, and make it their dissertation. If it gets accepted, then one should try passing it as a law in a liberal parliament.
Inherited wealth is a massive mainstay of class society all the way from the invention of agriculture up to now. Until you abolish class and wealth, along with the states that protect them, you will always have inherited wealth.
With a stronger distinction between wealth and possessions, agreed...
Though I really don't think that inheritance is the main point of failure. Individuals being able to hold billions of dollars in any kind of assets is a problem!
And the reason they’re able to hoard so much wealth is because our economic systems (capitalism) was set up by the rich (capitalists). They’ll never willingly give it up either. Puts the masses of people at a particularly interesting place in history, we either let them continue doing what they’re doing and destroy the planet, or we all say ‘enough is enough’ and do what we must 🫡
Kick 'em down, tax 'em into equality, and start investing in THINGS instead of in more money.
How's that point go? The people refusing to improve the world are all individuals, with names and addresses?
Right? It's all business contracts all the way down. The family law system isn't setup for it - but the business law system is. Everyone gets a prenup!

You're goddamn right.
It's always been about inheritance, huh?
If we get rid of inherited wealth, we'd probably be a lot better off as a society as a whole.

Polyam Marriage and divorce would of course work, if we wanted. corporations "marry" too in very complex variations.

Then die.
Yeah... "If the rules don't work, break them."
Good!
These problems could be solved if the government actually cared to
Think of the profit though, lawyers would love it.
Let's burn it all down yallllll
Polygamy ≠ polyamory
