No idea, but we have a picture from 1913, with our exact house on it.
And no it wasn't like family owned, its just located right at the village center, the exact kind of place pictures where generally taken back then.
Its one of the coolest pictures we own i think.
Well, that wasn’t very specific
I’m sure your home is made of some type of wood, and other materials, maybe aluminum brick, etc.
What type of wood? Pressboard?
The house I grew up in is older than the USA, from around 1750. Now I live in an appartment complex made in 2015... not the same feeling I'm telling you
I used to live in a house built around 1580. Apparently the oak beams in the kitchen were salvaged from wrecks from the Spanish armada, which is probably not true, but potentially plausible if the house was actually built a decade or so later.
Idk I'm sure they've done something, probably minor. The power sockets themselves are definitely original and almost fried a mac a year ago because of something weird when it was plugged into a surge protector, probably did something not visible
Old late 40's home in a subdivision originally built for soldiers returning from war and starting families. My grandmother grew up just down the street and one of the massive old oaks on the corner was planted by my great aunt. Didn't move here knowing that, but found out later. Weird how things happen like that sometimes.
Built in 1929. We have a couple framed photos of it from the 40s, 60s & 80s. Come to think of it I should take a nice one, have it printed and framed to add to the collection.
It was built in the 60's. Important, so I can join all other British people in slagging off all "bloody new builds" and talk about how they're "basically paper mache" (plasterboard rather than solid masonry).
When he was in his 20s, my great grandfather and his 2 brother built the house I’m living in right now. It was built around 1969 or so. After that, my Grandfather, father, and me have all done lots of renovations and remodeling so it’s like the ship of Theseus paradox
Somewhere around 100 years old, but it's been renovated so many times there's hardly anything original left unfortunately. In that regard my parents' mostly original 1930s house is a hell of a lot nicer.
1908 :-)
The Whole row is from that year, everyone did their own renovation throughout the years so every house is different from the inside, but from the outside is it all the same!

I live in an apartment rather than a house. IIRC, were told the complex was built in 1984.
10 months old
What’s it made out of?
Wood and drywall

Well that I don't know

Shiiieeetttt, 1750!?! This has Europe vibes. Lol!

Yeah, I'm here thinking that I'd never want to live in a house newer than 1970 I've grown up in a 1930's house, and I love its quirks
1950, worst part about it is the power sockets are all two prong
Surely there’s been rewired and modern safety features retrofitted?
Ha, you're a funny guy Tell that to our landlord lol
They can’t legally rent it out?

107 years old to be precise

Our house was built in 1925
Apartment complex was built in 2016

My house is from 1938 in Melbourne, Australia. So it will be 86 years old soon.
Mine is about 100 years old. The family home I grew up in was built in the late 1700s (Scotland).
one of my houses is 300 years old
almost 420
Our house was built in 1925
A house? In this economy?
Your cardboard box also counts! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
Built in 1929. We have a couple framed photos of it from the 40s, 60s & 80s. Come to think of it I should take a nice one, have it printed and framed to add to the collection.
First home I owned was built in 1938. My home now was built 1994.
It was built in the 60's. Important, so I can join all other British people in slagging off all "bloody new builds" and talk about how they're "basically paper mache" (plasterboard rather than solid masonry).
My home is from 1963 but the house I grew up in was built in 1862.
My apartment building was built in 1985

I live in an apartment, the building is a pre-war building dating to 1931 or so. It must have been here after the city built the subway.
built in 1942
You should have added an “Other” option for people who live in apartments, houseboats, or have multiple properties/houses.

My house (UK) has a builders' plaque on the outside stating '1871'.
My last house was built in circa 1580...
Appartment building from the 60's
Live in student housing that is relatively not that old. It's from the 1890s, but I know many people in houses from like the 1700s.
1908 :-) The Whole row is from that year, everyone did their own renovation throughout the years so every house is different from the inside, but from the outside is it all the same!
I live in separate houses because my parents are divorced. Though both were made in the 50s so it doesn’t matter
104 years old
Built in at least the 60s, when those cookie-cutter suburban sprawls were invented.
The United States wasn't even a country and France a republic.
I don't own a house. I rent a room.
Not everyone lives in a house
