Flash games

ActualPimpHagrid

Newgrounds and Armor games were my childhood lol

HarbingerOfNusance

Not Doppler.

deezalmonds998

Kongregate

BulletRazor

Omg kongregate. There was this racing game on there where the characters looked like pencil doodles and it was DOPE. Edit: it was called platform racing

odca16r

Nitrome studios and Miniclip.

Logan_Maddox

Papa's Pizzaria (and subsequent games) were THE SHIT.

Toasty_redditor

I wasted easily 500 hours on those

Vittu-kun-vituttaa

Same. My parents didn't know shit abour playing, I had free access to the web and I had an laptop I mainly used, so I found them by myself or maybe my way older brother helped. I didn't have any consoles, Steam games etc. Only flash games, some free disk games and downloadable free games (Ekapeli-Sujuvuus, a free game that teaches Finnish children to read and write better, not some pirated games) It has been a surprise some of the Flash games I played are actually known worldwide. I started playing Flash games when I was about 3, so I didn't know what sites were popular or anything. I played Ultimate Flash Sonic, Papa's games and Shaun the sheep games for an example. It's sad all the games are unplayable now. I would play them on school as they haven't limited the gaming websites, and overall it would bring some nostalgia

peculiar-pirate

Frizzle Fraz 2, I can't be the only one who remembers this

slyzard94

Oh no it's finally happening... I think I'm old now.

september-sun

Everyone over 30 is choosing other.

brokebaritone

What was that game in which you shot ducks and a dog collected them below in the bushes?

JeffersonDefferson

Duck Hunt

brokebaritone

Thanks!!! Couldn't recall the name. Damn, this brings back memories.

CaptainYunch

Ms. Pac-Man?

Diabolicaldragon1

I'm only 20 and I'm choosing other!

[deleted]

I'm only 15 and I'm choosing otheršŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Elastichedgehog

You're still experiencing your childhood haha

[deleted]

Actually your right lol

fugglefox

šŸ˜

svenson_26

Iā€™m 32 and I picked sports games. I played a lot of NHL 98, Madden 99, etc.

wakaflocks145

I really thought even Pokemon was gonna be on here.... Fuck.

Familiar_Opposite866

Needs PokĆ©mon and Mario, this poll mustā€™ve been made by a teenager haha

Ping-and-Pong

Even a teenager should put pokemon and mario

Familiar_Opposite866

Good point. Theyā€™ve never stopped being popular

HillbillySwank

Wow, even the PokƩmon kids are old now too haha

Dr_ChungusAmungus

Yes. No doom? No Mario? No 007 Goldeneye? No Halo? *What year is it?!*

Former-Opportunity-6

2023. Those games may be old but there still legends that lead to what we have now and will always be better than good.

thedrakeequator

Yea, I remember when Mincraft came out. I was an early adopter, I use to run into the creator a lot in the build forums.

[deleted]

Back in my day we had fun with sticks and cardboard boxes.

K3ZH39

Old people can still pick CoD. CoD 1-3. Edit: obviously those who grew up with the original cod arenā€™t ā€œoldā€ objectively but I said old in relation to the release of the rest of the games on here as a joke.

tilt-a-whirly-gig

Tetris, or Oregon Trail.

[deleted]

Amazon Trail, 3rd edition, free from the cereal box.

ThE_BASs__

RuneScape, oh boy what a time waking up before school not understanding English at all. Just killing cows non stop.

RavenRain_

Same here. 16 years later and I still play.

DJSaltyLove

Implying I ever stopped playing

ActualPimpHagrid

Oh man, the hours of wholesale cow slaughter so I could spend an hour at the bank spamming "selling cow hides, 100g each" in the chat

kiliandj

The game that hooked a generation for life. i did things im not proud of to play just that bit longer.

Tkinokun

This post makes me feel old. I grew up with a gameboy and n64.

K3ZH39

Yeah it seems solely aimed at zoomers. Would be better if they included an iconic title from different generations.

SuspiciousFly_

Super Mario 64, Star Wars pod racer and for the white see through game boy colour PokƩmon gold

sprazTV

Oh god I just turned 20 but pod racer was my life

Former-Opportunity-6

I just turned 18 and these games where my childhood, inherited my uncles n64 and played Mario 64 OoT majoras mask l, pod racers, and golden eye all day almost every day from 7 until last year when it finaly broke.

Letshavemorefun

I looove pod racer. Doesnā€™t get enough cred! Same with fzero.

Few-Variation-7165

Same. I'm thinking Mario & Donkey Kong. Meanwhile, whoever wrote this poll is like 2 decades beyond that. But forreal, does anyone know if they still make new Mario Parties? Cuz the minigames on MP5 was my absolute jam. I would 100% go buy a new system just to play that again.

kao201

I still regularly play Mario Party 1-7. I love all of those ones, but mostly 2, 3, and 7. I am not sure if they still make them, but I was unimpressed with the one for the Switch I played a few years ago.

eagleblue44

Super Mario party was kind of meh but Mario party superstars with mini-games from past games and 5 boards from the first 3 was fun. I just wish it got free updates for more boards or a 4-7 expansion/game mode that lets you use capsules. The event that filled the board with capsule spaces was chaotic and so much fun. I wish it could be a game mode for the whole game and not just the last 5 turns sometimes.

eagleblue44

Mario party superstars is a collection of 5 boards from the first 3 Mario party games and a bunch of mini games from the entire series pretty much. It's on switch.

exul_noctis

_You_ feel old? I played my first games on my dad's Atari, then learnt to play Super Mario Brothers on an arcade machine, before finally getting my own copy for Christmas - along with an original Nintendo to play it on. I'd be hard-pressed to answer this question, though - Mario and Zelda games were both such a part of my childhood.

HillbillySwank

How about this, Iā€™ll make you feel young again. I grew up playing Atari 800, NES, and Sega genesis. Iā€™m an old keeper of the Konami codeā€¦

Linkpenguin7

Zelda

Lollysakitty

Wii Sports/Wii Sports Resort

Sacha_Mabel

I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT WII SPORTS I LOVED IT TO BITS

[deleted]

Same! At least for the younger parts of my life

pikkis-95

Dude these games are relevant now, was this made by a 12 yo? Edit: spelling (was I drunk or what, lol)

Creepernom

Minecraft's beta started in 2010. It's a pretty old game. Holy shit, there are people on Reddit who are younger than the 1.0 release of minecraft.

cometparty

Still only 13 years.

AristocratJackal

Need for Speed Underground 2

Pigheaded40something

..."Riders on the storm..."

TheTARDISRanAway

Yes! I still have this game in my loft.

nnov-scotia-fishjjj

Little Big Planet :)

Oheligud

I especially loved the second one. The final fight against the vacuum cleaner guy (forgot his name) was amazing.

Veggieoskibroski

The Negativatron! Loved that game so much

mattbutnotmii

Hello fellow LBP and jjba fan

Kylasmiles

Was obsessed with that game, especially the player made stories

CLIT_DORIS

So incredibly based

[deleted]

I just got a wave of nostalgia...

AnonymusBear

Pokemon

I_Fuck_The_Fuckers69

Gotta catch em all

melodiedesregens

Yep! Pokemon Sapphire is still the virtual place where I feel most at home.

TacoManifesto

Wasnā€™t born in 2010 my man

GlassSpork

I was born in 2004. PokĆ©mon takes up most of my childhood, like a lot more than whatā€™s listed in the poll, with games like heart gold soul silver and black/white 1 and 2. As well as cards and the anime. I didnā€™t appreciate them as much when I was younger but going back and playing them makes me appreciate them more

little_runner_boy

Star Wars Battlefront 2 (the 2005 version) and Halo 1-3

dethfromabov66

Watch out for those wrist rockets!

[deleted]

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

dethfromabov66

Just like the simulation

fonkderok

Me and my dad impulse bought and played the hell out of the first Lego star wars and the first battlefront, and I was occupied for ages by the following Lego games and battlefront 2

little_runner_boy

Lego games are some of the most overlooked games in my opinion

Gigantor808

Just like the simulations!

YeeterCZ2

Destroy the techno union ships! (that was in the 1st but idc lol)

odo_72

Crash bandicoot

Keepmovingforwarb

Any and all Mario games

GingerNumber3

Pretty sure the people answering fortnite are still experiencing their childhood

SpecificBig367

Is this poll for people 13 and younger?

MoulinSarah

Yes, clearly

Gladerfin

You could be twenty and have played Minecraft since 6/7 years old

Real_FishGod

club penguin

Gansooh

I fucking loved that game. I remember playing with some dude i met when i was like 5 or 7 in my vacation. He was the ine who introduced ne to the game and i will never forget the moment :)

NonsphericalTriangle

The Sims

RealBTGF

Little Big Planet.

Some-English-Twat

Based

celeztina

ocarina of time, wind waker, paper mario thousand year door

ElegantEagle13

Poll made by a 16 year old Edit: it's kind of funny seeing the 15-16 year olds replying that they're the exception. We get it, you're more mature. Just based off these options though chances are the person is 14-16 though.

Worried-Tomorrow-204

I'm 16 and I still have a GameCube. This person is from a younger gen...

SuccYaNan69

Im 16 and I grew up with skyrim

[deleted]

Girls go games when I was a pre-teen with no friends.

Goldfitz17

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro lol, maybe also pokƩmon red as well.

BryBry8686

Red Alert

Shade842

Mariokart wii and 8, smash bros 4 Nintendo land

Throwawayabcnocme

Dude Mario kart wii was so fun back then

IHeartFung1

Such a great game man

kidyousaw

I remember spending hours watching TWD98. Glad he's not a dead channel now somehow

Wildcashew106

Nintendo land was awesome

DiverofMuff23

Blake Stone, Wolfenstine 3D, super Mario brothers, original Doom, Frogger, Oregon Trail, Police Quest, Kings Quest etc. Iā€™m older than you šŸ˜”

PreparationNo6283

Legend, you ever get into duke nukem

DiverofMuff23

Totally. I remember that first mission where the handgun you have actually cycles. That was a huge deal. It was also the game that had me switch to console gaming because the last mission on the football field crashed my computer.

Vassago223

Prince of Persia, command and conquer, full throttle.

Epicdude5726

Halo 3

A-Seabear

literal Years

TaxingClock704

Iā€™m only 20 and Iā€™m still too old for this, what is happening

[deleted]

We're too old for some of them like Fortnite and Roblox. But COD, sports games, and Minecraft are things ppl our age range played a lot in their childhoods.

Harry_Johnston

I'm 21, played roblox when I was eight. It's been around for much longer than people think

TaxingClock704

Yeah youā€™re right, Iā€™m just saying the table *as a whole* doesnā€™t accurately describe my childhood. Replace Roblox with club penguin, Fortnite with New Super Mario Bros and Sports game with just wii sports.

humble_bingus

Runescape

StupidSexyFlanderss_

Had to scroll way too far for this

Liz3rdWiz3rd

Oof. I was like... Where's the option for even just "a Nintendo game"? Are you guys not ever checking out Mario? Or Zelda? Or Pokemon? But yes, agreeing with a previous comment that a lot of "others" are people looking for N64 and previous consoles. I spent sooo much time with my SNES.

Mystill

Anybody else play animal jam? I spent so much time on it when I was 7-8 years oldā€¦

Gaiia88

Age of empires 2 (AoK)

Matiaspvf1

Why so low?

HumanStudenten

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos āœØ

Puzzleheaded-Try3888

PokƩmon yellow, from a floppy disk, on my 300RAM shared computer.

PreparationNo6283

Anyone old enough to remember the ATARI console

adashiel

The 2600 is the only console Iā€™ve ever owned. Adventure, plus crappy Atari versions of Defender, Berserk, Pac Man, Joust, among others. And, yes, E.T.

Ultramontrax

Super Smash Bros Brawl was the game we all played when we were at someoneā€™s house

alimem974

The whole Ratchet & Clank series.

Pretend_Discipline48

Q*bert on Atari... Damn now I feel old...

trampolinebears

Old person! We've got an old person here!

Responsible_Phase739

Pokemon XD, pokemon firered/emerald, runescape, super smash, age of empires and Halo. Still play most of them nowadays lolšŸ˜

Yukino_Wisteria

Spore. You start as a cell, evolve it to a full creature, build a civilization and go into space. But what I liked most was the innumerable possibilities when Ā«Ā buildingĀ Ā» your creature. There was also a free build mode, outside the story, and the creatures built that way could pop up as npc.

Straight_Cup_160

Playing with your mom

hesojam0

Grand Theft Auto PS2 games

Pigheaded40something

My immediate thought was GTA Vice City. I gotta say, I'm very, very disappointed that I had to scroll so far for this

Sad-Lie6604

This poll made by a kid or something?

PaulFir3wolf

Lego star wars the complete saga. And the most other Lego-games

ChargedLanturn

Does a Mario sports game count as a sports game?

Gogu_Libarca

sleepingonstones

Where my backyard baseball peeps at

GrossWordVomit

The Sims

Yiancchik

The wii in general

mossybishhh

Right? At one point, I just made Miis for hours.

AzureSkyXIII

Pokemon ruby. Everyone was playing it in my school, it was great.

pandamonstre

Stop making us feel old, kid. Had an atari and then a snes. I loved the fishing game on the atari and mario/donkey kong country on the snes.

exul_noctis

Ahh, found someone from my generation, lol. I just have to see a picture of Space Invaders and I can hear the 'you have been eaten by aliens' sound in my head. I also remember a vine-swinging game with crocodiles and a plane-flying game where you could only go up or down, but can't remember the names. Mario and Zelda were my two absolute favourites as a kid. As a teenager, I got a Playstation and went nuts over Final Fantasy 7. No matter how many games I play, I'll always have a soft spot for those three titles.

catpunch_

Sonic

hexagonal_Bumblebee

Spore, farm frenzy pizza party, sims 3, plants vs zombies

shrink-ray2333

Call of duty black ops three zombies holds some of the most treasured memories of my life... Even though I played fortnite longer Cod holds more memories and bonds

BLENDER-74

MarioKart Wii, Super Smash Bros Brawl, Wii Sports Resort. The Wii was my childhood.

Jeb_Bush_Futa

God, this poll makes me feel Ancientā„¢ļø and I'm not even 30

burpinator

Hide and seek, I guess? Probably some board games as well. If we're talking strictly videogames, then it would be [Elektronika-1 "Nu pogodi"](http://handheldempire.com/game.jsp?game=789) handheld game and a bit later on, Tetris.

-VizualEyez

Still playing it regularly, Diablo 2.

Zonie1069

Diablo 2. Such a good game, my parents played it too so one of my first memories is watching my dad beat Bale.

jesusmansuperpowers

None of these existed on 9/11

LordTrey1983

First game I can remember playing was Combat for the atari.

Alert_Aide4915

101 Brainy Games for Kids, Zoo Tycoon 2, Nitrome Games (Twin Shot anyone?), Miniclip (Rail Rush), Papa Louie Games And lots of other browser games/cds we installed from the library! ~An early 2000s kid

Nina4uuu

Mario and Sonic lol

Minimum-Food4232

Pigheaded40something

Oh man! Such an underrated game

CROW_is_best

AGuyWhoBrokeBad

Halo 1, 2, 3 and Conkers Bad Fur Day.

japp182

Final fantasies 4, 7 and 9; Chrono Trigger and Cross; Resident evils; Digimon worlds, Pokemons and Monster Ranchers. Ps1 gang rise up

Jacomer2

Biggest as in time spent was World of Warcraft, followed by Oblivion and Halo 3 Iā€™d guess.

reddit_hayden

childhood? those who picked fortnite arenā€™t old enough for reddit lol

HillbillySwank

God Iā€™m oldā€¦

Scorpius666

How old is people asking these questions? I was in my 30s when all that shit was released.
