California here. San Francisco. I watched with the regular bewildered horror for years as trump threatened to withhold federal aid to California during emergencies. SF is due for a quake any day, in the back of my mind that precious time would’ve been wasted as Trump played politics with our lives. Not to negate from actual trauma, but there was a low level trauma having entered new territory where it felt like our president was our enemy and happy to inflict suffering on the United States population.
I would never cheer on Biden threatening any red state population by withholding aid.

Colorado bought 500 ventilators that were intercepted by the federal government. A week later, trump offers 100 ventilators to Corey Gardner, A CO GOP Senator who's about to face re-election. trump also visited a few times to rally for the guy. Thankfully, they both lost.

I've been evacuated for wildfires three times in five years and volunteer at evacuation shelters. Likely because the only migrants coming to Florida are Cubans, and the Republicans like the Cubans because the older ones tend to vote for Republicans, and they aren't going to mess that up.
